I would definitely not come here again. We stopped here for lunch and we both ordered the combination plate with a chile relleno and a chicken enchilada. In my entire long history of ordering chile rellenos, I've never been to a restaurant where they are so cheap they cut the relleno in half down the middle. And it wouldn't have been that big even before it was chopped in half. That menu option should be described as "half a chile relleno." The chicken enchilada was also rather small, but it did have white meat chicken inside. All of it was rather tasteless. Half a relleno, a small chicken enchilada, rice, and beans was $15.50, which was hugely overpriced for what we received. I would describe the food here as classic "gringo mex." Stopped in for diner and wait was not long at all. Food was severed hot and quick. And as a previous reviewer mentioned it was a little bland but with the green sauce added it was very good. It is true there where NO extras........ no chips and salsa, no garnish on the plate, nadda.....just a plate and the food, which is ok by me as the other stuff just gets in the way but chips and salsa would have been good. My food total was $17.00. My husband's was $14.99. And we shared an order of chips and salsa. Which again $5.00 for a small amount of chips. Plus we each had a beer for $5.00 so our grand total for food and drinks. $47.00 a twenty percent tip of $10.00. Totaled $57.00 Restroom was clean and tidy. We are not cheapskates by any means. To start off, they don't even give you free chips and salsa, there's a $5 charge for them. The ambiance and staff both seemed a bit off. Our food was less than mediocre, and very very overpriced. We were charged $10 for two sides of rice that didn't even equal a cup. My friend found a piece of wood in her taquito, and my girlfriend's chicken was purplish. Upon arrival, we asked Mandy if the chef (Fernando) would make us something special. And so the Fernando's Special was born....a Shredded Beef Sope made of a corn (masa?) base, with a thin layer of beans, shredded beef, and their delicious green salsa! I ordered biscuits and gravy - and I didn't find any bacon or sausage pieces in it... the biscuits weren't homemade, and the gravy tasted like it was canned - it was a pricey meal considering the quality. The water tasted odd, almost a salty after taste and they use the water for their coffee - also tasted odd. The soda was also off tasting, maybe the soda is old? The environment was quiet, no music or TV running. All you could hear was the regular locals talking about doctor appointments, etc. The restaurant smelled musky and .... well old. I barely had half of it and already had to go shit. One thing I give them credit on is that their bathrooms are super clean ! Absolutely disgusting! The fish tasted moldy, and like it had been washed in bleach. My brother ordered all you can eat and couldn't even finish 3 pieces because it tasted absolutely terrible. They then charged us for the all you can eat because the couldn't reverse it. They also just took half to pretty much empty bottles of hot sauce and just filled others without even cleaning them.
