    Day old tortilla chips

First time ordering carryout. Chips obviously day(s) old. Chewy and soggy. Quesadilla tough. Come on guys. You can't let this quality of food go out your door. I won't go back to eat in, let alone carryout.

The week of Halloween, we stopped in for a late dinner to celebrate our kiddo. We ordered takeout once before and decided to dine in this time. Here is our experience: Ghost town: For a Saturday night, it was pretty dead. There were a lot of staff standing around or rolling napkins. They did not look too enthusiastic when we walked in so I was not sure what to expect. Customer Service: 8.5/10 Our server was attentive and very welcoming, which made up for the subpar first impression upon arriving. He made great food recommendations and even joked around with us a bit. We appreciated how kind and welcoming he was. I also noticed that we were seated on the opposite side of the restaurant near the back while other patrons that came in were seated near the bar area near the front. Why hide us away? I was not a fan of this. I guess it was a plus being near the bathroom? Food: 6/10 Sadly, I was not impressed with the food. Our kiddo got chicken tacos, and my husband and I got the beef chimichangas. They were just okay but the kid enjoyed the tacos. I did not care for the flavor of the chimichangas. The salsa was decent and we did not get queso this time around. We spent nearly $40 for our meal, which is standard for the three of us to eat out. True to authenticity: I really enjoyed the decor and the music that played during our meal. It was not too loud or distracting and they also had college football going. Overall: 6.5/10 I'm good on this place and probably will not return. The food wasn't anything to write home about and aside from the first impression, we were seated in the back of the restaurant away from everyone! Tacos and Tequila in Overland Park is a lot better.

Tonight we headed over to Olathe to check out the highly recommended Casa Amigos. Tonight we were only having drinks but looking at the food, I will definitely want to go back. We got the Chamoy Margarita to share. It was absolutely massive and the flavors were amazing. One of the best margaritas I've ever had. Service was very quick and friendly. Highly recommended.

Came out to try this place with my husband the place was definitely worth going back. The servers were on top on things no sooner they had us seated a different server brought us chips and salsa. Our food was out to our table within ten minutes. It was fresh hot and mighty delicious. The environment was a bit loud because the place is packed. However, it was wonderful with the music playing in the background. It was nice being able to see other families, including my family, laughing and having small talk.

I enjoyed the festive atmosphere, the great service, and the delicious food during my dine-in lunch. My burrito tradicional lunch plate (reasonably priced at $7.75) was served just nine minutes after I ordered at the table, which gave me time to start on the complimentary chips (thin & crispy) and salsa (mild). The burrito was packed full of moist, tasty, shredded chicken without any fillers (nice!), while the refried beans and Spanish rice were pretty good. The service was attentive and polite, with chips and salsa refills and a check-in by the manager, while the dining area was brightly decorated, with TVs and lively Mexican background music. I noticed a nice bar area with a rollup door connecting to a covered patio. Very nice!

This place was absolutely fantastic! I had the The Jefe burrito and the sauce on it was a packed full of flavor and creamy! The wife had the Carne Asada and the middle child had the fajita. All of it was fresh and amazing. The staff was also amazing and friendly.

Literally so good! Came here for Cinco de Mayo because my friend lives in Olathe and says this is the best Mexican ever. I had the mango and Chamoy Marg which was amazing! They also gave us Casamigos shots for just being so fun and I had the best time! They had a prefixed menu and a fun DJ but my friend said she goes at least once a week because their food is so great.

Let me start off by saying that this is my first time here. I stumbled upon it and had a little time to kill. And seriously, who doesn't love Mexican food? Vic, the bartender, was awesome! The owner, Jose, is awesome! They make you feel like family! Their hot salsa was so hot and yummy. My mouth was on fire but I couldn't stop! Their chips are the perfect crunch and consistency. Their addition and patio is just gorgeous! The booths and tables are beautiful. No details were overlooked! Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to eat while there but I will be back. I HIGHLY recommend!!

Everything tasted fine , but I will say there was more rice than protein this time around and they were a little chintzy on the amount of refried beans. I was expecting two or three times as much for a full side instead of the lil' souffles worth. Next time I'll probably skip the burrito, kick the beans to the curb and stick with their excellent empanadas or flautas. Note: if you have time to dine in.... they should still have a cool little robot that serves your drinks... The robot along with the staff have always been very nice.

Your bowl of chips is rarely empty for long (especially for a glutton like me) and meals are delivered hot & ready. It's a big space, and when the place is packed, there is a LOT of service traffic on the floor. Wait times are usually not bad and the tables turn quickly with all of the help happening. The food is good, maybe not great. But it's not far from great and if you ordered something that would be delivered hot, then you can be sure that it will be served VERY hot. A plate of carnitas runs about $16, comes with tortillas, and is served very hot. K Machos makes a sensational traditional carnitas plate, and this is one of those top shelf items to try. If you want a taco salad or standard TexMex plate, then you get the good level. K Machos has a great drink menu and great drink specials. Their house marg runs $10 for the big schooner, or you can get several varieties of fruit in a frozen margarita version. Mango marg, anyone? Service is great, location is great, food is pretty good overall, and the drinks are great. It's definitive worth the stop in Olathe.

The restaurant is tucked away down what appears to be an industrial street where you wouldn't expect to find a sit-down restaurant. Because of this you won't accidentally discover it while you're out on a Saturday afternoon drive. I'm certain the location hurts their business as it has other failed restaurants that have occupied the same space in the past. But if you go to the trouble of finding it, you'll be happy you did. There are a few "Mexican" restaurants in this area of town, but this is a "Tex-Mex" restaurant, which I prefer. I won't go into describing each individual item on the menu, I'll just say the food is solid Tex-Mex. I lived in Houston and San Antonio for a total of 10 years, so I know what Tex-Mex is supposed to taste like. Chapala could definitely hold their own in South Texas. While many items were ok and overall portion sizes were good, it lacked seasoning, especially the quesadilla. It was simply a tortilla with an underwhelming amount of cheese. Sadly a soft option or corn option was not offered to us. Even though we dined around 1230, the restaurant was empty. Only one other table was occupied with guests. The hostess was even eating while working which didn't make for a very welcoming ambiance.
