First impressions are everything, and let me just say that I am impressed beyond what I thought I would be! This was my first time trying birria and this experience was *chefs kiss* perfect! Customer service was bomb, the guy working the counter was helpful and funny. Here's what we ordered: Ramein Birria - $10 +tax.. Large container full of ramen, a bit of cabbage, onion, and large chunks of meat . This was so good I let out an audible "mmmm" when I took my first bite 100/10 if you like noodles, get this! Birria tacos (added avocado and cheese)- $3.39 +tax.. shredded beef, taco shell dipped in the beef consommé and then fried, white cheese and avocado! Oooh tastes like heaven! Alone the tacos were good. The consommé on the side as a dipping sauce really took it up a notch! 100/10 if you like tacos, and I know you do, get this! I've heard about this spot and have been wanting to try birria with the current craze going on all throughout Southern California, there is finally an opportunity for me to try it in my hometown without the need to travel hours for an authentic experience. Open Taco Shop 760, I haven't been inside as I opted to have my food GrubHub'd, so I'll solely be speaking on the food experience alone. First off to list off the items I'd ordered; I got the BirriaBurrito without pork beans because of a dietary restriction and they graciously compensated that by stuffing the burrito to the max, two QuesaTacos, Consome, and an Horchata. I'll start off with the Quesatacos. Literally comprised of a corn tortilla soaked in birria broth/fat, fried, and stuffed with birria and cheese. There's no way you can go wrong with these, the quesatacos were definitely the highlight of the entire meal for me as they were filled with texture, cheesiness, and flavor. Dip it in the consome and you're in for a delight. The birriaburrito was massive, it had LOTS of birria, it had Spanish rice, avocado, cabbage, onions, cilantro, and I'm sure a few other things that aren't coming to mind right now. But this burrito is HUGE and MESSY, I chose to spoon on the consome onto the burrito as opposed to dipping it, because I simply don't think that would be possible lol. Burrito was very good too, but I prefer the tacos in all honesty. The consome was filled with plenty of epic flavors that can only be developed by cooking meats for hours and hours on end, plenty savory, fatty, salty, and slightly acidic that compliments the flavors oh so well. Perfect for accompanying your tacos and burritos as a dipping sauce. As a huge hot sauce fan I had to try out their picante salsa, and WOW was I amazed. The salsa isn't too spicy on it's own but the smokiness and flavor of it was absolutely astonishing. The only complaint I'd have is I wish they'd use little cuppies with lids as opposed to small baggies that are tied up. Lastly, the Horchata is freshly made just like everything else. Not some cheap consumer grocery store horchata, but horchata where you can taste and feel the rice grains that were used. A1, absolutely delicious and not overly sweet at all. I finished everything in one sitting and proceeded to be in a delightful food coma for the next few hours. Everything I had was definitely made fresh and I am honestly so happy that this spot has opened up in the desert. I can confidently say that this is the best Mexican food I have had in the desert and will be back again, again, and again, just please give me more of that hot salsa!~ read more

Their food is really good. Be aware it is a kitchen in a liquor store, not a typical brick and motor restaurant building. Thre is limited seating. But the quality and taste of their food is worth this inconvenience. I took mine to a park and enjoyed both the food and outdoors. I received second to none service with a smile. And then you hit the cheese and the grease just pours out of that corn tortilla shell and that's when it gets really good haha 7/10 overall I'd say! I also got a keto taco, so no shell on that one, just a bunch of fried cheese and then the taco toppings covering it. DELISH. I think that's what made my meal a 7, honestly!
