Al pastor has the marinade and pineapple flavor shining through nicely. The meats were prepared and cut perfectly well, which matter a lot for street tacos. Cilantro, onion, double corn tortilla... check, check, and check. Finally the salsas are awesome. Red and green. Good amount of kick to it, and fantastic flavors to put onto street tacos and burritos. Definitely check out this taco truck. I have a hard time believing that this wouldn't be in anyone's top 5 tacos in Colorado.

We were regulars for years, I mean like once or twice a week sometimes! It's been noticeable that their ingredients have started to tank, for instance the cheese tastes like rubber. However, the incident that promoted me (and family + friends) to stop going to Taco Star was recently when we ordered a number of items from the menu and asked for three complimentary waters at the window (which we had done in the past) and were told that it would be $6 extra. After the shock we said no thanks, having the cashier slam the window on us! That's insane! Plus, $6 exactly? Suffice to say, they've acted shady for a while now by not providing receipts or giving back incorrect change...this solidifies our decision to skip Taco Star altogether. read more

Our food arrived cold and poorly prepared, with bland flavors and incorrect orders. The dining area was not very clean, which made the experience worse. There is an interesting quirk to this place, I think it is the only place I have been to that has the drive-through on the wrong side. So, you pick the order up through your passenger window. I wasn't sure how it was going to work out, but it was fine. The person at the window stretches out to you with a tray and uses this method to hand your payment and food back and forth. I will say, part of the menu board was hard/impossible to read with the way they have it set up. I had to pull up, read the combos, then back up and enter the drive thru. Not a big deal, but this is one place that makes this place a little different than the rest. I would say that the strange drive thru configuration may impact you if you have a handicap and cannot lean far over your passenger seat to get your order and pay so keep that in mind if handicapped. Overall, it was great. I will definitely be back.
