    WALKING NACHOS
    Dana S.

Let me start by saying that the restaurant ran out of CHEESSE and a lady had to run to the store to buy some ‍I was not informed until after I inquired about my food. I actually waited over 30 minutes for fast food! I requested a refund & was told by the cashier that she s was unable to give a refund. Hunh However, she did apologize. When I finally got my Nachos it was good but the cheese was warm not hot. Very disappointing!

The cashier was extremely rude and curt. Granted they were closing in a few minutes, however they were still open. Then the nachos were vile! Almost threw up. If I could give this place a -200 I would. Just plain nasty

    CHEESE QUESADILLAS

We stopped in tonight before the Rockers game and it was a bit disappointing. I ordered the quesabirria tacos and sadly the meat was tough. Ordered a cheese quesadilla for the kid along with a side of queso-which doesn't come with chips. No sides included in the birria either. Our meal was $26 which I feel is a lot for the quantity and quality. We'll prob choose other places next time.

    Pastor and mango fish tacos

(3.5 stars) "Overpaying at Stock + Grain" is getting ready to join death and taxes among life's certainties. Thus, the operative question shouldn't be "Is the food overpriced?" but rather "Is the food good enough for me to not mind?" In the case of Taco Street, the food hall's newest tenant, the answer, so far, seems to be "Maybe." Positives first: the menu here is commendably huge, and it boasts a few things not easily found elsewhere. As befits the name, you can get tacos with a variety of toppings: everything from pastor/fish/steak/chicken/birria to chicharrons, squash, or Hawaiian BBQ. If tacos don't scratch your itch, there are also pastelitos, "drowned" taquitos, and pambazo sandwiches. On variety alone, Taco Street is winning. I ordered a pair of tacos - one pastor and one mango fish - to go. At $4.50 each, they were (surprise) no value, but they were prepared quickly and delivered in the flavor department. The pastor especially was spicier than expected and very tasty. The mango fish was more subdued. Though not a disappointment, I don't know that I'd get it again. While High Point has an abundance of Mexican eateries, few have the street food emphasis that Taco Street does. That makes it worth investigating. Your taste buds will likely be happy even if your wallet will not.

Great menu! Not the usual offerings!

Visited for their grand opening and was not disappointed! Delicious food and great service! I liked the spin on the calabacitas, using summer squash rather than corn. The quesabirria was delicious too! So much meat inside and freshly made! Set in the Stock and Grain food hall so there are other options nearby to make sure everyone your party gets exactly what they want to eat. We had a pizza from next door as well!

We ordered a birria fry here as part of a shared food court variety lunch. The fries were huge and had plenty of meat on them. They were a perfect combo of crispy and soaked. Overall, absolutely delicious and a huge portion.

Taco Street is located within the Stock and Grain Food Hall located on Elm Street in High Point, NC. This was not my first visit to Taco Street. My first visit I had a Cuban Bowl and I have to admit, I was not a fan. Plastic eating utensils trying to cut through what was a VERY fatty piece of pork belly was not my idea of fun. Let me say this, I am glad I decided to try their tacos! I had the Birrea taco and the Hawaiian taco. I enjoyed them both but the Birrea was my fav! The Hawaiian taco, while it was tasty the BBQ sauce was too much. I also had an order of churros with the dolce de leche dip. The churros were perfectly fried, crispy on the outside and warm and fluffy on the outside. The service was fast and efficient!

Bland plain rice, nasty chicharrones tacos that were soggy and wet. Dry, overcooked meat. I couldn't eat it

We also got an appetizer of corn ribs because... that stuff is delicious. I appreciate the tea being brought in GIANT glasses, as I was never wanting for a refill. I don't see why more places don't do this, what an easy way to relieve your server of a common service pain point. There was also a birthday party while we were there, and let me tell you, the entire restaurant... lights, music, and all... shifts into party mode when it's time to sing that person a song. Pretty impressive. Anyway, back to the food. We did enjoy the corn ribs, but they were pretty messy and difficult to eat. I have seen some examples at other places where the kernels were easier to get at, or you could even eat the husk part because it was so thin. Also, we would have liked a little more, the ribs did not even really add up to a full large ear of corn. The fajitas for two were really good and a huge portion. Very tender meat and veggies. We would have liked to see more pineapple. The chunks were small and a little sparse on the skillet, so in the end, we didn't get much of that tropical flavor. In the end, it wasn't enough to deduct a star as we had an excellent overall experience. Thanks amigos!

When I arrived there was only 2 other patrons in the whole restaurant, but that changed within 30 minutes of me sitting down. The restaurant became packed! The decor is light and fun and they have a lot of TVs around the restaurant. They even offer outdoor seating with an outdoor bar! I ordered the BOOM BOOM Shrimp Tacos (I think that's what they were called) with beans and rice and the $5.99 margarita. The tacos were REALLY GOOD! I'm definitely going back again when I'm in that area to eat. Every thing was good - the customer service, the food... however that $5.99 margarita.... Let's just say, I understand why it's 5.99 and on special everyday - I'm never ordering that again! lol Everything else - loved it!

The restaurant itself was really clean despite the lunch rush just having gone through. So we were really impressed with the tables being kept up after the lunch rush and the chairs were comfortable as well. The prices are fair especially with how good the food is. Even our family friend who is notoriously picky was impressed by the food. One downside was that it was difficult to understand the lady behind the counter however we were able to order by pointing to what we wanted. One of the meals we got we aren't sure exactly what it was, as we pointed to something someone else had gotten. Our friend got the chicken quesadilla and she said it was really good. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the guacamole. It was a bit thin and bland. We went based on a recommendation of a coworker who said they had three tacos for $9.99 as part of a meal and they said they were so good and it was a really great value which is why we went there. We definitely weren't disappointed and plan on returning.

Lauren's opinions on dining come highly recommended, but I did not realize that what she was saying about this eatery was no exaggeration. This place is ridiculously delightful. It has a fun themed atmosphere centered around their efficient counter service. Their prices are justified for the quality of food they serve. They feature a Cali-Mex menu with a range from the familiar to the new and exciting. I ordered a favorite of mine, the Chori-Steak, which had grilled steak and chorizo (Mexican sausage) with queso on top. It was served with yellow rice, guacamole, and 3 tortillas. While you can find this dish in a lot of Mexican restaurants, theirs is superb. My meal was delicious, but my wife's was mind blowing. She ordered their signature dish, the California Burrito. It was stuffed with steak, cheese, Pico de Gallo, guacamole, sour cream, and fries. As much as I love potatoes in many different forms, I thought the fries would be an unnecessary filler. Boy was I wrong! The fries add a well-seasoned flavor and texture to the burrito. I am ordering this for myself the next time I am there. I recommend listening to my friend Lauren M. and trying California Burritos the next time you are in High Point.

With what I learned, I just can't see myself going back and anybody who has Alpha-Gal syndrome, you may want to really think twice about what you ordered here. I ordered a vegetarian combo meal and got the food, I ate it and about a half hour later I was on the toilet, and it was not a fun night. I called the restaurant the next day because I've had this happen to me before, although with this place, I ordered through GrubHub so I wasn't able to ask questions, but you assume when something is listed as vegetarian that it actually is. Anyway, the refried beans are sometimes fried and vegetable oil, sometimes fried and lard. The day that I ordered mine, well all week they had been fried and lard which makes them not vegetarian. When you stop consuming those types of animal byproducts your stomach doesn't know how to digest them so I had this food and my body immediately was like what's going on and sure enough trying to reject it. Somebody who has Alpha Gal syndrome like I mentioned earlier can get super sick from this, like it could have serious detrimental effect on them.

The service is good as the staff is friendly and prompt on checking on you or refilling your chips and salsa. Ambiance is friendly although it was a bit cold the day we went so we left our jackets on throughout dinner. Business there is typically steady so if you go at a peak time there may be a wait. We went at 5:30 on a Friday and got right in but by the time we left around 7, the wait was a few people deep. The food is always good and portions are large. As with most Mexican places, they start you off with chips and salsa. The chips do not have salt on them so you may need to add it if you enjoy a salted chip. The salsa is good and not very spicy although my wife who doesn't do spice said it was a little much for her. I had the Cocina plate which is chicken, shrimp, and steak with onions, peppers, mushrooms, and cheese sauce over rice. This is my go to as it's delicious and always hits the spot. My wife had a fajita quesadilla that was overflowing with meat and veggies and she really enjoyed. We tried some of their Paloma drinks this last time which were very strong but had good flavor.
