Located under the Residences at 1700 apartments, easy parking, good amount of seating inside and some outside. Had their special, the birriadilla (i think that's what it was called) but it came with 3, freshly made and hot. The flavor was fantastic! Would definitely order again. They have a chips and salsa bar so you can try out a bunch of different sauces/salsas. Enjoyed the chance to try out the different sauces, they were great! We finished with the churro bites. I tried the carne asada fries, all of the flavors were good but the meat was chewy and not great. We tried Taco Teresa's because it was visible from Plymouth Road and had an intriguing name. It took two tries to find the right road but once we arrived there was plenty of parking close by. The interior was pleasant and supported the brand of Teresa in a sombrero and with long, flowing hair. Ordering was at the counter and the food was ready in an amazingly fast time. There were a number of items marked as unavailable and price and menu changes were marked on white tape on the wall menu. The food was very good and the Chicken Tortilla soup and the Churro Bites were exceptional. The bathroom was clean but not spotless, the trashcan lid was broken, and the sink was worn. It was easy to converse but there were only six diners in the inside seating. It is worth the visit if you like to dine on Mexican food but set your expectations as to the state of the facility. read more

I took my daughter shopping at Ridgedale mall and she requested for tacos. I remember Taco Teresa opened across the street, so we went there to try. Located on the corner of a new building, looks like apartment is above the restaurant. Free parking in the lot. Inside is colorful, they have a salsa station and warm chip oven, and beer wall. We absolutely loved the location off 55- but that unfortunately closed. We've been to Minnetonkas location multiple times now, and unfortunately 90% of the time it's been terrible. We've ordered fish tacos, street tacos and burritos and all have been extremely greasy and soggy. We've asked one time to have them remade and they again came out terrible. They do have a salsa bar which is nice. One other concern is it is extremely dirty. At the other location we always noticed how often they were cleaning. It was actually really impressive. Here though it looks like it's been a couple days since they've cleaned. Not sure what's going on with this location but hope it turns around! read more

Wow, I am utterly enthralled with this place. It is located on Plymouth Avenue on the west side, about a block away from Lunds/Byerlys. Be careful because you could easily miss it, and that would be bad for you because this was a great lunch I had. This is not your Taco Johns, nor Chipolte...it is so much more. Their meats are more faithful to tradition and are so well made. You have a variety of proteins to adorn your entree: Carne Asada, Steak Al Pastore, Lingua (my favorite), Carnitas, Tinga, Barbacoa...and a few more. Order at the counter, and they will bring out your entrees to your table. They have a great salsa bar consisting of fresh and cooked salsas; they were all pretty excellent. Two street tacos were plenty for lunch, and they have a tortilla chip warming holder next to the pretty cool salsa bar. I did notice after the fact that Teresa's had Tamales, and I would have taken two of those with me for later in the week. Two other items of note: 1. They have Horchata, and it is awesome. 2. I love their beans! It's like a cross between pintos and refried beans. I would eat these with a tortilla by themself. 3. The Esquite....I wanted this to be so good, but man, it was an utter salt bomb. Not sure what happened here. This is going to be my go-to for quite a while for Mexican fare. read more

The soup was amazing- different from others I've had before- it was loaded with delicious ingredients and flavor. Also another thing I'm appreciative of at restaurants - great bathrooms! I'm kicking myself that I haven't tried Taco Teresa's sooner. An absolute must for taco lovers - I also love that they have more than just tacos! They have a phenomenal special taco deal every day from 2-5pm where you can get 3 American tacos for just $7! They also have this deal all day on Tuesdays. Total win. I LOVE the pastor here - it's so juicy and flavorful. The carnitas are also phenomenal. I don't think you could go wrong with any of the protein options. The tacos are great, but don't sleep on the other menu items. The torta is amazing - really nice portion size! The staff is so friendly and the restaurant is actually quite spacious for dining in. There are a complimentary chips and a really nice salsa bar with a ton of variety. Don't forget to grab an horchata! We've eaten at the Taco Teresa's on Hwy 55 for several years. On 6/9/55, we ate at the Minnetonka location. The staff was friendly, service was quick, place was clean. What was disappointing was the quality of the salsas. It was almost as though they were watered down, or had somehow been thinned from what they offered previously. I tried 6 different ones and none of the tasted as good as what they used to serve. We won't be back. read more

Finally a place to fill my Baja Sol void in my stomach! If you do not know what Baja Sol was, it was a Midwestern Mexican quick service restaurant that offered AYCE chips and freshly made salsas and a pretty extensive Tex-Mex menu to choose from. Baja closed a couple years back due to poor management and I have yet to find a concept that came close...until now. I was looking for a place to grab lunch after a business meeting and pulling up my Yelp app glanced to see what was around me. My eyes immediately caught a glimpse of Teresa's fish tacos and I was "hooked". So I decided to give them a shot. To my surprise as I enter their establishment - a salsa bar with fresh chips just like Baja Sol! What an amazing discovery! So yes of course I had to now stay and try out those fish tacos. And they did not disappoint. The fish was crispy on the outside and flaky/moist on the inside, not soggy in the slightest. The sauce that came with the tacos perfectly complimented the veggies and whitefish. These were some of the best fish tacos I have had in a very long time. The salsa bar had a good selection of prepared salsas and toppings to choose from to further enhance your meal. I tried their green and red salsas with fresh tortilla chips, it was a perfect side for the tacos. Price was super reasonable and the staff were friendly and service was prompt. A great, very casual spot with good food! Order at the counter from a wide selection of options from quesadillas to elote. The highlight being the all you can eat hot tortilla chips you serve yourself. There is a comprehensive salsa bar that offers mild to spicy options and also is serve yourself. For the mains, I loved the tortilla soup! Well flavored and broth based with large helpings of shredded chicken, definitely will order again! The chicken tamale was a good balance of sweet and salty and with some spicy salsa, so good! Shrimp taco would also be a high recommendation! The Baja sauce was spicy and the taco itself was a healthy portion. The only disappointment is that while they have a wall that in large letters says 'Cerveza' and several taps, they are not currently serving any beer which would have complimented our meal nicely.
