I dont do fast food often, but this local chain with veggie friendly options is where I go when I do. The staff at this location is conssistenly genuinely friendly, always mindful of food allergies (offering to change gloves etc), and prompt. Also, the veggie soft taco has dried pumpkin seeds? Doesn't sound nearly as good as it actually is! My favourite is when its sweet potato tot season! read more

I'm not sure if it's the Californian in me or what but taco times food was yuck! It's almost like chipotle but doesn't really hit the mark. My burrito had raw pinto beans throughout and who puts raw pinto beans in burritos? They also didn't state that they were gonna be raw on the menu, typically cooked beans are in burritos?!? The WORST "fast food" restaurant in town. Do NOT go through the the drive-through expecting anything less than a 20 minute wait for your order. I ordered one thing, a crisp habenaro burrito and it took them a staff of 5-6 people and 20+ minutes to deliver it to my car. When they did, they didn't apologize for the wait or bring the condiment with my order and so I waited another 3 minutes or so for some hot sauce. ??? When I went in to discuss this with the assistant manager Daniel, I noted the restaurant seating was approximately 10-15% occupied by other seated customers. All Daniel kept saying was, "We are doing the best we can. We are short-staffed today. " Really? To deep fry a pre-made frozen burrito it takes a staff of 6 people and 20+ minutes? Taco Time, train your staff for crying out loud. I will NEVER visit this restaurant again, and I LOVE those crispy burritos. read more

Taco Time is my favorite fast food place but I just got a side order or rice and found a hair in the bottom of it, I attached a picture as well. The only reason I didn't rate this place with 1 star is because I've eaten here a couple times prior to this and everything was wonderful. I went to this place one evening. It was very busy and about to close. The manager made me aware they were closing (basically wanting me to order quickly) I felt rushed n was going to opt out of ordering and just got a water. Once I got to the window the manager (Mike) realize he may have came off unprofessional and sincerely apologized and offered to take my order on the house. I love that he acknowledge that ..hey that didnt come off right and I need to apologize and speak to this customer directly. I would come her again and recommend it. read more

This is the newest and best fast food place in the area. Taco Time menu and food is better than the burger places and Taco Bell, and this location is very new and clean. The staff are friendly. Only recent drawback is they have to buzz you into the restroom now - seems like a Tacoma-wide problem at this point. There's a good Mexican cafe across the street, but has zero parking, so I'll take the Taco Time. And thank god they haven't gone the route of the awful McD's touchscreen kiosks (shudder). read more

Came here on my lunch break usually a pretty busy location but luckily their was only a couple cars in front of me. I ordered a number 1 and a number 2 but also ordered a crisp beef taco and a crisp beef burrito. Staff was friendly but could tell by the time I got to the window they were seemed understaffed everyone busting their butts but still very friendly and repeated my order back to me when I was at the the window. I paid was handed my food. I got back and was missing both my crisp beef burrito and my crisp beef burrito on my number two. By time I was back to work and realized I was missing items I didn't have time to go back. Not mad at the staff by any means they were kind and respectful for how busy they were and mistakes happen. honestly I blame myself for not checking my bag for all my items at the window but by this point their was a dozen cars in the drive through behind me and I didn't want to hold up the line. At the end of the day though I didn't get two items that equal up to about 12 dollars and I probably won't get that back. read more

Food yummy but there was only one time, the very first time when my husband and I visited that they made the correct order. Every time after that our order was either incomplete or wrong. Repeating our order a bunch of times seems not to matter. We will continue going there for now because food is very tasty but we resigned from expecting correct orders. read more

The building is beautiful and super clean. We have eaten at a few Taco Time locations, Federal way, 19th and Mildred in Tacoma, and now 38th Street in Tacoma. I would rather visit any other location if you are talking about the food ONLY. I want to say again, the building is beautiful and super clean. I ordered the Regular size taco salad with chicken. Yummy and for me, a gastric bypass patient, it was the perfect size. My daughter loved her taco kids meal, but her mexi fries were so over cooked that there was NO softness in the middle of the tots. This is not cool at all. My older daughter ordered the tostada salad and it was 1/2 the size of the other locations for the same price. Why would the food here be so much smaller than any other Taco Time in the area?? Strange. read more

My family and I went in for a quick lunch, and we were pleasantly surprised by the state of the restaurant! Beautiful interior, all updated and looking really nice. We gave an annoyingly high maintenance order and the cashier, John, had a great sense of humor about it. The food came out really fast and tasted delicious. A great experience overall. read more

This is the worst Taco Time I have ever been too and I love Taco Time. Both the soft tacos on my order had ice cold beef, like it had just came out of the refrigerator. The flour tortillas were hard. One of the soft tacos had a long black hair in it, whoever prepared my order didn't wear a hair net. My mexi fries were cold and soggy. My entire order was disgusting. I never leave bad reviews, or any reviews for that matter but this was just bad. read more

The service was quick, the ingredients seemed fresh, and the food wasn't loaded with salt to cheaply enhance flavor the way it is in so many fast food places. The prices are certainly reasonable. I wasn't pleased with the soft tacos however. You get a double layer of flour tortillas, which translates to a mouthful of dough. I tried removing one of the layers of tortilla, but the things then just fell to pieces as I was eating them-- nearly half the ingredients broke away and tumbled out as I tried to outpace the work of gravity. With decent crisp shells or fresh corn tortillas these problems could be avoided. I can't speak to the other menu items, maybe they are better. read more

So happy we finally have a decent and fresh fast food restaurant! Been here a few times and every time I get the same treatment, with every employee as well. I'm a very difficult customer with a big order, add this, no to this and light ice etc. Every time without fail they repeat the same order to me and it's correct when I pull away. We just stopped at this Taco Time with 5 teens on our way to a state Thespian conference. Dustin the young man at the counter was very kind and helpful. He brought all of our orders out to our table and even came back later to check on us and see if there was anything else we needed. His customer service was second to none! When it was time to compost our items he came over to make sure we didn't need any assistance. As we exited the restaurant the kitchen staff came out and said good bye to our group. It was the nicest fast food experience I have ever had. read more

I came here twice the first time I got a burrito and crestos. They caught my crestos on fire and you could smell the burning through the window and they still gave them to me. The second time I came here I got a SOFT burrito and my tortilla was stale and hard. I do not recommend this specific location. But other taco times are good. read more

My husband and I stopped by this Taco Time for lunch, and we had a great experience. To begin with, it was a nice, new and clean location. There was a minor issue with my salad not really containing any beans. As a result, my husband asked for a revised one. In a split second, they were about to prepare another. But instead of wasting perfectly good ingredients, I asked for rice and beans on the side to add to the salad. They provided this with no problem and at no charge. We then received kind remarks and check-ins from the manager. Later that day, I brought my sister to the same location, as she is new to the area and had never had Taco Time before.
