Speaking of, women will be in the mens restroom since the lines are too long for them. Funny because if it was other way around I'm sure I'd be facing charges.WA also has insane liquor laws so don't expect to find any cocktails readily nor I don't think you can take to seat. This is a neat place to go to concerts and or events. My husband brought me here for the Garth Brooks concert, which by the way was awesome! The place was very organized and clean. We bought some beer and snacks. The lines were a tad bite long but hey! the lines are long in all events. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our seats were a bit on the back but in front facing the stage and we were quite pleased. The bathrooms were something else haha, well I should say the woman's bathrooms were always slammed. Same thing as anywhere you go, there is always a big waiting line. However I do enjoy a clean and fresh smelling restroom and they did awesome in that department. The cleaning crew was doing great. As for parking, it's a bit of a nightmare but again, where isn't it. Right!?! So you just go with the flow, enjoy music in your vehicle and stay warm or dry. read more

Visited the Tacoma Dome for the first time to see Bernie! I wasn't sure what to expect but found it easy to navigate and enjoyed our time there. Most of the food places were closed, so I can't give a real opinion there. We were able to find one open and the food was not bad with the standard overpriced stadium food. They offered soda, nachos, pretzels and hot dogs. We brought our kids with us (ages 11 years - 5 months old). Our little one wasn't a fan of the sound. It isn't extremely loud, but our 5 month old just couldn't settle down. We saw some other kids there with noise cancelling headphones and I would highly suggest those if you are going to be bringing infants/toddlers/children with special needs. It just might make your trip here smoother. Also keep in mind that for a stadium that holds thousands of people, there only seems to be one Family Bathroom and one Mother's Nursing Room. The Nursing Room was basically just a single bathroom with an added basic chair. So if someone is in one or both you are going to have to wait or walk around and find another one (if there is one in another area). For other curvy visitors: the seating seems to be somewhat plus size friendly. There is a bar/arm rest in between the seats that does not move, but it doesn't come out that far. You could still sit comfortably even if you have teouble fitting perfectly between the arm rests. There is more than enough room in front of them, that you don't have to worry about them being in the way. I would be more worried about the really steep stairs heading up to the higher seating areas. Before heading over to the Dome please check out their security page. There is a lot of things that are not allowed into the building (backpacks, water/liquids, etc). Our diaper bag and formula made it through inspection without any issues though so there are reasonable exceptions for baby/child items. We didn't bring our stroller, but we did see other families with them. Parking seemed to be easy. We had to follow a few signs but got to the designated parking area right outside the dome. $10 for the event, so not bad. read more

The concert I went to, and the fans, were absolutely great, but since that's not what I'm here to review, I'll get to it. Pros: - Venue staff *inside* seemed friendly enough, didn't encounter anyone who looked or acted like they'd rather be anywhere else but there doing their job - Acoustics weren't as bad as I'd been led to believe (I was on the floor so ymmv). They weren't *great* but I could hear just fine 95% of the time Cons: - ENTRY/SECURITY. Where do I even start with how much of a cluster this was? The info pre-show made it seem like multiple doors would be open for folks to enter, and they were. However, the trick was that to get to THOSE doors, you had to fight your way through what was probably a line at one point but had basically devolved into an absolute mob of people with no clear structure except that everyone was trying to make their way to one of around 6 metal detectors. I arrived at 27th and East D around 5:15, got in a line that was basically there at the corner, and didn't actually manage to make it into the venue until 7:25, 5 minutes before the scheduled start. Add in some unexpected light drizzle (but hey, it's the PNW) and that's a recipe for a mood dampener. Start was then delayed until around 8:15 because of "heavy traffic", although I have to wonder how much of that was actually people on foot, in line, still trying to enter the arena. Some of the delay may have been due to last minute adjustments (on the part of the performers), but with poor cell service and no one from the venue actually communicating anything, that will remain a mystery, I suppose... Anyway, ultimately I had a great time but most of that was thanks to the artists and other fans. Compared to my other arena experience here in the US (Moda Center or "Rose Garden" for my fellow long-time Portland-Metro residents) this arena has a lot it needs to improve on, and should not be hosting any events on this kind of scale until those changes are made. read more

Came here for the annual Hawaiian festival today hosted by the Asian Pacific cultural committee. There is a lot of parking near the event venue and if you can't find a free spot you can obtain one nearby for $10. The actual venue itself is like a warehouse. It is lit like a factory and is so crowded similar to an experience at a mass transit center. There is some chaos when ordering food as people are just kind of standing there in place - it is so crowded and chaotic that people don't know what they're standing in line for. The food itself was really mediocre - we ate a Hawaiian platter for $14 - portion and food were pretty disappointing. Nothing really tasted authentic and tasted similar to fast food teriyaki. Trying not to be so negative because the event itself was free and promotes important petitions and committees for the Asian community but probably won't be back next year. read more

First time here 11/16/2018. Learned it's the 4th largest of its kind in the US with 23,000 seats, yikes, and a beautiful wooden structure. May have just been the location our GPS brought us to? But a difficult one entrance, one exit, small, corner parking lot near entrances B & C was not preferable. In such a populated area not sure how else they could build this giant venue and parking? But I am use to the Spokane Arena, which I realize is no where near this size, but I so appreciate its own large surrounding parking lot. It also had a fee to park but NOT $30.00? I feel taken advantage of when I have already paid an event ticket price with fees and taxes of $100.00 each. And we still had to cross a street to get to and enter the Dome itself. I guess normally that might not have mattered as much but one of our party of four was toting a badly sprained ankle in a boot and needing crutches to walk. It was a long journey from the parking lot to our seats. Next time perhaps more ahead of time research to see which parking lots are near which entrances? I assumed like most huge venue centers it would have one massive parking lot allowing for drop offs? Bathrooms and Concessions seemed adequate, though we used the toilets, we did not buy any Concessions or Merch. Our seats were in section 103 EE #'s 6-9. I was pleased with these seats, great view of the stage. I am uneducated as to whether the artists bring and run their own sound system and people. I assume such. But all three artists sound was clear and at a good volume. We where here to see Twenty One Pilots, The Bandito Tour. And let me tell you, they brought it! My every expectation was met. Interesting to have seen them 4 years ago in the small venue of Spokane's Knitting Factory, tickets with the reasonable cost of only $20.00. But I must say last nights experience with them was well worth all the money. The Police in force were crucial to helping exit traffic flow! THANK YOU! read more

I was pretty concerned upon reading others reviews for this venue. I was expecting a nasty, dingy, cramped venue. To my surprise, it wasn't *that* bad. The venue looks pretty cool from the outside, and there seems to be lot of parking as well. It is pretty dated, but nothing creaked or was dirty from what I could see. The bathrooms were okay as well (plus they have a sweet group hand-washing fountain). The seating was a bit cramped, but it was comprised of plastic seats and not the bleachers I was expecting. We had the, you know, the kind where the seat goes up if no one's sitting in it chairs. The rows are quite long, so if you're lucky enough have a seat far from the aisle (me!), literally everyone must get up and pretty much exit the row to give proper allowances. So my advice, GO BEFORE YOU SIT. Basic concessions are available here, including snacks and beer. 3 stars for the CLUSTERMUCK of a parking plan that Tacoma Dome has--one lane to go in--and only 2 very slow attendants admitting vehicles. Well, I have to say that before the remodeling it was pretty bad. But I recently went for a couple of events and they improved. There are no more bridges to get to the seating part. Sound was a bit better and it feels bigger (I know there's no way to rebuild the whole thing. It's just a feeling). Also, the Auditorium part is a bit better. The thing with the Dome is that it feels like a gymnasium. That is why is good for some gymnastic/sporty events :) You can feel near the stage if it is down. The venue is terribleeee!!!! Please bring some other vendors. Variety would be better. I can't believe that there are only 2 per wing with meh food. Parking hasn't been a problem for us. It is the leaving what gets a little problematic. But it is not because of the Dome. I think it is because you many cars at the same time through a single exit to a one lane street. read more

Went to Vets Aid concert on 11/11/2018. What I dislike about the $30 million in "improvements" is that you are not allowed to access the ground floor from the grandstands. Previously we could. With aching knees and a bad back, we got the third row (C) of the grandstands, section 103. We were looking forward to accessing the ground floor with its new restrooms and concession stands. We entered the dome on the ground floor. There was only one open gate with steps from the floor to the grandstands. After much pleading with the guards there, we were allowed to get to our grandstand seats from there, across two sections. They originally told us to go back and walk up to the concourse, over to our aisle, then down 37 rows to our seats. We were not allowed to use that one open gate thereafter. All but that one grandstand aisle had a gate and no steps to the floor, three or four feet below. Talking to our aisle guard, he did not know how to open the gate in case of an emergency. Later, by our request, a fireman wrestled with our gate to see how it did open, but failed. So, with an inoperable gate and no steps to the floor, no emergency egress. The stanchion for about ten seats in the first row of our section broke and took about 30 minutes for mechanics to fix. Meanwhile, the people sat in the aisle or left. Yes, there is a little more leg room, but we still had to stand for people to get by from our 22 seats wide section. Seats are not any wider and there are no cup holders. One of our full $12 beers was kicked over while jostling for someone to get by. I don't think the restrooms at the concourse are any different. Between long lines to the restrooms and beer kiosks, intermissions on the concourse were uncomfortable. The open areas between the old bridges is filled with an aluminum deck. I didn't notice any other changes. I can't comment on parking since we ubered to and from. read more

Went to the Tacoma Dome for the first time last weekend for the KISS concert and was generally surprised by how nice the facility was (especially given the previous reviews). The crowd management getting into the facility wasn't the most organized, however,​ it didn't take terribly​ long to enter the facility. Once in the facility, it was easy to find our seats and despite sitting near the back of the venue, we still had a great view of the stage. I personally had decent interactions with all the event staff and security (though previous reviews lead me to believe I may have been in the minority for this type of interaction). As always, the food/beer was expensive - but that is typical of any event venue, however, they did offer some craft beers rather than your standard Budlight, Coors, etc. read more

Attended an event over the weekend was frustrated with one aspect of the experience. The venue had just one parking attendant for a show on a Saturday. It created an immense back up in entering the facility. Because of this, we missed the first part of the event despite being in line to enter the parking lot 45 minutes before the start time. The building itself was in decent shape. Renovations to the seating, especially in the lower half was much needed. Would love to improvements to restrooms, as they feel like walking into a time machine and are outdated. Still a fan of many events put on in the building and wont hesitate to attend again. However, improvements by the venue must be made, especially when it comes to parking. read more

The seats in the place are awful. You have to sit for hours for a concert or graduation they are a nightmare. No way to find a comfortable position and lack any type of knee room. I have been at this facility once and never again! Parking is limited so Seak out outside third parties. There were only one real entrance and absolutely no organization... I'm talking about no staff leading people, no line detail, no distinction between vip and general admission . The mariners field had better organization than this place. I will never attend a concert at the Tacoma Dome ever again. We got in line for the parking lot at 6:40pm at .8 miles from the venue. The line did not move. In 40 minutes we had gone .1 miles. If someone had had a medical emergency or a car caught on fire, there would have been no way for emergency vehicles to access the area. It was dangerous and we were sitting ducks. The parking lots were full, so people just started driving up onto the curb and parking on the grass on the side of the road. They should not hold events there if they do not have enough parking for the cars. There were many elderly people there for the event and there was no access for them to be able to be dropped off near the entrance or access handicapped areas. We didn't realize there was a size restriction on bags. My mother had her purse and was not allowed to take it inside. You are only allowed to take a something that fits in a small basket (like what the TSA uses for keys and wallets). Once inside, I realized the size restriction was probably due to the lack of room in the seats (a regular size purse or a coat takes up too much space and causes a safety hazzard). The ticket scanners that read your phone were placed inside the venue which does not allow cell phone reception due to the concrete structure. To pull up the tickets, you have to exit back out security, go about 40 feet from the building, pull up the tickets, then go back inside. The smart thing to do would be to set up the scanners at a point where cell phones get reception, or at the very least put up signs that say 'no cell phone reception beyond this point, please access tickets prior to entering'. We were in the third tier, last row. Nobody was there to help direct us to our seats. In fact, I didn't see a single Tacoma Dome employee the entire concert in our seating area. We hiked up very steep concrete steps only to find our row did not exist. Turns out, that row is partially blocked off for half the section due to a wall. Other patrons said it was too dangerous to go back down the stairs and around (we had 2 people over age 70 with us) and said we should just go across the row the up the stairs one row, and back in to our seats, which we did. Some people were too sickly/weak to stand up and we had to climb over them. Once we got to our row, there were people in our seats and we were told everybody just sits where ever. We got to our seats at 8:47pm. More than 2 hours after we had arrived at the Tacoma Dome, and almost an hour after the concert had started. Once in our seats, we were packed in like sardines. If anyone had needed medical assistance, fallen, had a seizure, etc - no medical personnel would've been able to help. If a fire had broken out, hundreds would've died. There was a commotion about 20 seats away, and no security was there to assist. Once seated, basically no one left to use the bathroom or go to the concessions because it was just too difficult and dangerous to move around. After the concert, it took a very long time for people to empty the section due to mobility issues of some patrons. One elderly woman had to go backwards down the steps as if she was climbing down a ladder because the stairs were too steep to go down frontwards. A young woman on crutches who could barely stand also took a very long time to decend the stairs. This venue is a complete disaster, disorganized, poorly managed/planned, and dangerous. I am surprised the Fire Marshall or ADA hasn't shut it down because of the numerous code violations. I would not advise anyone to attend a concert there, especially if you have medical conditions or are older because no one will be able to assist you if have any problems nor will you be able to leave the seat during the event. The floor level seating for the concert looked to be fine... lots of people moving around and lots of open space. For my event, a floor seat ticket average price was $8500. I have attended an expo at the Tacoma Dome and it was fine. There was no parking or traffic problems and everything was on the floor level. read more

After being taken to the stage area to get to our seats we were told there was no way to get a disabled person to their seats from the floor in the higher end ticket cost sections other than to go the the back of the stadium and take the elevator and walk all the way back to section 102?!?!? Seriously??? The entrances from the floor are BOLTED shut. What happens in a fire?!!!! Aren't there supposed to be two ways for people to exit? Everyone is supposed to go up???? No one could answer me. They all said they were volunteers. I sure hope there isn't ever. Fire. Everyone will Perish in that place. I had to walk all the way up and back down to our seats when I entered into the floor from our 'VIP experience'. Terrible customer service experience. Not ADA compliant or safe. read more

Tacoma doesn't have many places for big tours like Bruno Mars so the Dome is it. To say that this place is outdated would be an understatement. If you are seated in the lower part of the upper section you better be tiny. Seriously. Take your iPhone and if your butt is smaller than 3 iPhones width you're fine. The rest of us will have serious bruises. If you are in the upper sections, it's a bleacher seat. No back. And if you're scared of heights, check your tickets carefully. To get to your section, most people will cross a small skybridge. The creaks and feel with each step is like taking a huge risk. It's really time for something new. When it comes to the acoustics, the sound is better than before, but the metal seats are still uncomfortable to enjoy the music. I attended the drake summer sixteen concert in September and had no problems with the venue. The sound quality was great and the venue was able to accommodate all his visuals and lighting props. The place was clean and bathrooms were plentiful. The concert was well ventilated with air conditioning... I actually felt cold in the beginning of the concert. My only complaint is that traffic is absolutely awful after the event and there needs to be a few more officers on the streets to direct traffic. read more

This was my first time ever in this venue. Since I was attending a college graduation, the facility was not running at full capacity. So, the normal vendors and support services were not available. This was totally reasonable under the circumstances. Facilities staff were pleasant and helpful as possible. However, access for people with disabilities and their families was simply inadequate. While the University had arranged for adequate free parking. There was inadequate signage. So, following the serpentine route around the stadium, guests were greeted by neighboring paid parking lot attendants who took cash from those who had it and directed those that didn't to attendants with card scanners. The $15.00 rate may well have been in-line for event parking. However, free parking was provided by our hosts! Some of the people inside said this seemed like a predatory practice. I won't be recommending the Tacoma Dome or their neighbors anytime soon. read more

LOL, back in the old days when we had the Tacoma Stars and Tacoma Rockets playing I was here all the time(Plus all the Country Music concerts I went to there), then after that went to Tacoma Sabercat games until they folded, I only have been inside the Tacoma Dome ounce or twice since the Sabercats folded, but it does bring back good memories being inside that wood dome! I wish we could get a new sports team so I could start going back to the Dome for games! The Big Blue Dome is one of the worse venues in the NW... Outside of its ability to crame 30,000 people into it, there's nothing positive about it. Getting into the venue is a pain, so you gotta get there 3 hrs before show so you don't get stuck on I-5 off ramp trying to get I to area. Parking is minimal and difficult especially if your running late. Once you've entered venue you gotta cross scary bridges to seats. Now after all that, the acoustics just blow. And unless your front row center on the floor your very far away from stage so your almost better off going to Portland to see your favorite band verse deal with THE TRAGEDY DOME. read more

Seen Dave Chapell this weekend at the Tacoma Dome. Unfortunately we had nosebleed seats so the sound was absolutely horrible. It was really hard to decipher what the comedians were saying half the time so we missed half of the jokes due to the sound system. Sitting so far up wouldn't have been as bad if for one the sound was better, two the rafters didn't block most of the screen and three if they had better ventilation. It was very hot where we sat and reeked of marijuana. Drinks here are extremely over priced. 3 beers and a water came to $43.00 and to top it off they served us the bottled water by taking and keeping the top. When asked why they said to prevent people from throwing them into the crowd, ok. Once we got to our seats we couldn't help but notice others around us who still had the tops left on their water bottles? If we ever decide to visit here again we will definitely not get seats up in the rafters, especially if it's for a comedy show. read more

Not Handicap friendly at all. I have been going to Tacoma Dome for years sitting in few different disabled sections. The new renovations have made this venue so bad for disable people I am surprised I don't hear more complaints. They have removed all upper sections seating that lined the Dome and have now place 4 sections 2 in the far back and 2 side stage where all night you are blinded by lights and can not see any of the video effects of a concert. They also had he bright idea that lining the Dome Floor outside with disable seating was a great idea. Whoever made this idea has never been to a concert. Place people who can't stand up on the floor a concert where the view of stage is zero because the people all stand up the entire concert. I had to watch the entire concert on a video with no visual access to the stage. I am not sure why they changed disabled seating but I can assure you they did not think of us when the made the new seating arrangements. I have tickets to many shows and not sure what I will do now. I am heartbroken that the one thing I can enjoy in my life is music concerts has now been taken away from me because lack on concern for the disabled customer. I don't go to concert to watch the whole thing on a tv screen. Not sure why the took Sections off the floor that where raised so we could see over the crowd ?? Why did you take the seat lining seats above first level how hard would it have been to raise that a bit and have wheelchair accessible seating?? I have been to 3 concerts and have been so upset over this miss treatment. I wonder and hope artist that are booking this venue are aware of how we are being treated. read more

Been here for a few concerts and basketball games. It's not the largest arena, so it def always feels like any seat you sit in is close to the stage or the court. Took my daughter to Brittany Spears/Nicki Minaj concert and was about 17 rows out but still felt super close. Same thing goes with the basketball games. Food is your standard expensive a** arena food, hot dogs, nachos, beer, wine that usually will run you $7+ dollars on the food and $9+ on the drinks. Very easy to find and sits right off the freeway. Only problem with the freeway access is all of the construction going on, it's easy to miss your exit so pay attention to that part. read more

I have to agree with Kit C. I was at Vets Aide on 11/16/18 and was so looking forward to the new renovations. I have to add a few things of my own I observed: 1. Lower level seating had lights to walk up steps to your seat, but if you were seated in the steep stair area, no lights for the steps. 2. The monitors to watch the performers were so small, couldn't see much that were placed on both sides of the stage. 3. The food was lousy. I bought 2 hot dogs & a water for $17, REALLY? The buns were so dried out you couldn't eat it. Very disappointing read more
