Very impressed! I recently ordered from here from Grubhub while I was in town and didn't have a car during the day. I was craving some rolled tacos, some carne asada fries and wanted to get some chorizo and egg burritos to take back to Florida. The burritos held up great! I have been loving them since I have been home! The carne asada fries were very good and definitely worth the price. The fried beef taco was great, reminded me of the taco shop tacos of my childhood in south bay. Food is very delicious and tasty. The prices reflect the portions though. For example, you don't pay alot for a burrito, but they aren't huge either. So if you're a big guy, you may need to buy two if you want to feel full. But the quality and taste of the food is as good as it gets. I went around 1pm on a weekday, there wasn't any lunch time rush, so my service was quick! Didn't wait longer than 5 minutes. I took my food to go, but the inside is very much like all taco shops. I would say avoid weekdays around 3:45pm to avoid the high school crowds. The California Burrito was pretty good. The cheese and sour cream made it flavorful, so it's a solid burrito. Been here twice so far. The first time was just on a whim to find a quick bite to eat but I was astonished at how good it was I hyped it up to my wife to try. To make sure that it wasn't just because I was hungry that day and it was as I remembered I took her here, and I can confirm its honestly one of the best burrito/taco shops around. I can honestly recommend their California burrito to anybody and know that they'll enjoy it - not to mention it's hugeee. It's filled with carne asada, fries, pico and sour cream. We decided to come here for a late lunch! I was so hungry! I got a monster California burrito which was so filling. It had meat, rice, beans, sour cream, guacamole, and lettuce. I actually ate the whole burrito along with a few bites from my daughter. Lol! The only complaint I had was the tortilla was kind of cold. The rolled tacos must have been delish cause my son ate them in seconds! Half order of fries were a good amount but again meat was on the salty side. Adobada tacos I didn't care for. Once you've had street tacos from Tacos El G, it's hard for other street tacos to be at their level of deliciousness!!! No one yet has better street tacos than Tacos El G! I like me some good street tacos, and other than needing a little more seasoning, these street tacos were pretty good. I ordered two carne asada and one pollo asado or grilled chicken. Right away I was impressed with the fact they double wrapped each taco with quality corn tortillas. The tortillas tasted of quality natural corn and came warm and moist. The carne asada was tender but like I said, it did need a little more seasoning. The meat tasted good with the creamy quacamole, chopped white onions, and cilantro. I loved that included a light sprinkling of finely grated hard Mexican cheese, a touch that some many other places miss out on doing. The pollo asado taco was better seasoned than the carne asada, therefore it definitely provided better flavor. The chicken meat was well cooked and was tender on the inside with a good crispiness on the outside. This taco went very well with a squeeze of lime juice. I tried a couple of their salsas. The red one I enjoyed very much given the great heat and flavor it offered. Overall, they were some good tacos and I would not mind returning to try some of their other menu items. I took a few days off before writing this review because I couldn't believe what really had just happened. Meeting with Tavo about catering our 120 person wedding went smooth and seemed amazing. However, I was crushed when during our wedding reception he had decided to limit all of our guests to two tiny tacos and all were forced to choose one type of meat. What happened to four tacos per guest? Horchata?! Forget about it, that was nowhere to be found. Grilled vegetables? In your dreams. It was clear that Taco man is a cheater. Tavo I still tipped your workers that day because they served us with smiles while following YOUR bad business practices. Never did we discuss that you would limit our guests the way you did so you could cut costs on quantity. And you didn't bring what was quoted. On top of all of that, the line went incredibly slow. Our guests had to wait an hour from the first table to the last table. Sure go there for a burrito or tacos with a few friends but I would HIGHLY recommend steering clear of larger catering orders from this unprofessional business. read more

So upsetting to come to an establishment that makes up there own hours than what is advertised everywhere. I was told last time it was because a lot of catering events but there's 4 trucks sitting out front. I pulled up at 4:50pm on a Friday and you advertise your open until 7 but the girl inside said your closed. This isn't the first time this has happened. Very upset!!! Maybe change your hours if your going to do this more often than not. I went back when they were open. Food was good up until I found a rubber band in my salsa. Customer service is horrible too! I called my order in asked for a half order not a large I get there and they were a large and guy told me they don't sell half sizes in the Sweetwater Fries when it's clearly on there menu in store and online. The place is okay but I've had better. Service was pretty good. They are polite here. Parking and access from Highland Avenue is atrocious. Also, I wish the dining area was cooler. Where do I begin?! Ok, so, with my niece who just started her career, and her husband on deployment (who happened to come home, 2 days before May 2nd), I had to step in and help out plan my great nieces (her daughter), 5th birthday party. I was up for the challenge. I reached out to the Taco Man, 2 1/2 weeks prior to May 2nd, 2015. I spoke to Tavo and he told me he would send me the information for review, and the breakdown of different packages. Awesome. I was immediately sent the information via email. The very next day, I paid the deposit of $50.00 via PayPal, and everything was good to go. I also emailed, Tavo and made sure we were on the same page. I sent him the address and we were, A-ok. Everything was set. I was advised that Taco Man would arrive, and set up between 12:00-12:45pm, being that the birthday party started at 1pm. Not a problem, cool beans! May 2nd, 2015 arrived and I reside pretty far away. The commute is a little over an hour to my nieces house. I arrive early to help set up, bring the piñata, and all the rest of the 'stuff'. Time was pretty much flying at this point and I didn't take out my cell until about 12:45pm. I was a little taken aback because I was shocked at the time. It then dawned on me that TM hadn't arrived yet. I immediately called Tavo. The first time I called, there was no answer, and I left a message. I think my heart dropped when no one picked up. I called back and Tavo answered. I felt an inkling of a relief, but after I said, my name, the phone went silent. Oh nooooo!!! I'm thinking the freaking worse. TM forgot our party. There were a couple highly respected military gentleman at the party, In which wanted me to cancel TM's services, when TM didn't arrive between the time they were supposed to be there for set up. In their eyes, this was a huge no-no. I explained there was a deposit and so on, so even at that point they were ready to order food elsewhere. Tavo said, he would have his workers out in an hour. Luckily, Tavo was in contact while his guys were in route. That definitely calmed me and my nieces nerves.Two gentleman arrived at 2:05pm and started setting up immediately. phew! Not even a half an hour later, Tavo arrived, and started to help them out.. He apologized and said, he was 'there to lick his wounds". I totally respect Tavo for owning up to the mishap and jumping in and redeeming himself. He offered a small discount, which was cool. Thank you very much, Tavo, for coming through, even after it slipped your mind. I appreciate the communication beforehand, and when you got there. Also thank you for making sure my family was ok (making sure everything was flowing), for that I am thankful. TM has great food, and everyone was overall satisfied. All in all, this is a great company, I am pretty much leaving 2 stars for the punctuality and mishap, I experienced overall. The 2 stars is NOT BECASUE OF THE FOOD. read more
