I was just randomly walking around the area and the festive music drew me in. Reminded me of the kind of place you might see in a neighborhood in Mexico City, casual, pop up style, no frills and just really good food and friendly hardworking staff. In a way it felt like a makeshift restaurant with an urban warehouse vibe, big colorful signage on the walls, folding chairs and card tables make up the interior. It was very busy, almost every seat taken and the staff was running around taking orders with a smile delivering food and seemed to be having fun too. This is the kind of ENERGY I love!! There is a separate bar for drinks. The juices are freshly made in house, the horchata was highly recommended and apparently always sells out. I might have gotten the last glass of the night, the guy who ordered right after me couldn't get it. My quesoburrias and chicken quesadilla were very filling, and honestly I didn't need to order three, I left overstuffed haha... the waiter says I should try the shrimp tacos and cod next time. (Yelp tip:) He also told me that on Tuesdays from open til close it's BOGO on all tacos but there's always a line. Oh I'm definitely going to be back for this! Might be one of my most enjoyable meals in the city in 2026 so far!

Tacombi is the place you need to visit to satiate your taco cravings! With a lot of taco options in the west loop this is the clear winner! The sinaloa shrimp is the best there is and props to the al pastor, seared fish, and carne asada. Excellent esquites and the margarita packs a punch, especially if you dare to get the spicy margarita! The vibes feel like the minute you step out you'll be greeted by the beachside at playa del Carmen! End your meal with their churros for good time.

Authentic beach style/street style Mexican joint. Every single taco I had was fantastic along with the aqua Fresca drink. This environment is fun and unique, something you won't experience often. Good for a night out, a World Cup game, or a social gathering. The service was amazing and the price point is not high. Great experience! Thank you!

Really spacious and interesting interior. They have a screen with a projector for World Cup games. There's plenty of seating. Overall it's a nice relaxed vibe yet importantly with tasty food. I only tried one taco carne asada however it was really great. The flavor and cook on the carne asada was great. Great service, with them being able to help with questions and recommendations.

I have been coming to this spot on Tuesdays and other occasions and it never disappoints. The shrimp and Baja fish are easily my top two favorites, always fresh and full of flavor. They offer a rewards program and you can also use the InKind app which is a nice bonus. The staff is wonderful and create a consistently welcoming and upbeat vibe. The food is always fresh and it has become a favorite not just for me but for my family and friends as well. They have all fallen in love with this place. Customer service here is exceptional every time. My go to drink is the Sandis Santa. It is a must have for me on every visit. I also love the elote, it is so good. Street parking is available which makes it convenient. Highly recommend checking this spot out

Birria tacos were sooo good, didn't have a lot of cheese which I prefer. Broth was good too. Chill service and traditional Spanish ambiance with the folder chairs and tables

after avoiding this chain restaurant for so many months in New York, I finally tried these tacos in Chicago. The restaurant itself is lively and opens out to the street similar to how a garage opens into a driveway. It was very packed on a Friday night and extremely loud, but it made the experience even more fun to see everyone enjoying tacos around you. definitely tough getting the waiters attention tho. we tried the corn esquites, tacos al pastor, birria taco, and carne asada taco. one thing I definitely did not like here were the corn tortillas and how thin they were, causing my tacos to fall apart after adding lime to them. I felt like the pork taco lacked a little of the spice that they're known for so countered this by adding more green salsa to add to the flavor. I was not a fan of the beef taco, especially because of how liquidy it was from the oils and I think it just didn't resemble an authentic Carne Asada taco. My boyfriend enjoyed the birria taco very much, tho! my favorite dish was definitely the corn. Given, I don't know many taco places in Chicago that are fast casual like this place. I would definitely come back, especially for the corn.

A coworker suggested lunch here and I'm so glad she did. Just stepping thru the door I knew the food would be good and I was right. Every single worker was nice and welcoming. They have a bar as well. The seating isn't that comfortable but who cares when the food is so good. First of all they have the best chips and salsa I've ever had in my life! The flavor on the chips along with the crispness is insane! I would be happy enjoying that alone! However I enjoyed the fish tacos with a side of rice. All delicious!!! Everything was cooked perfectly with authentic mexican flavor. I will be a regular here.

The place was busy when we walked in and waited while before we got seated. The doors are open where we got seated which made it cold but the music and ambiance inside was nice! We got the fish taco and birria taco which was good but the birria consume was a little salty but overall the food was good. We also got a pina colada and didn't realize it was big but it was good and a little strong. This is perfect for two people to share. We also got their street corn and it was so nice and warm. The taco do comes with fresh cilantro salsa and a spicy sauce which was really good. It was a Friday night and it was such a great vibe. We have to Come back and try their churros.

I wanted to love this place so bad. Let's start with the atmosphere. I love what they did with the space - tons of room and good vibes. Very fitting for Fulton Market. Maybe I just ordered the wrong things? I got the chicken tinga taco and baja fish taco. The fish taco was my favorite. We also got chips and guac for the table which tasted pretty standard. Everything just tasted pretty average at best. My husband said his birria taco was his favorite. The prices are steep but that's expected in the area. There are definitely way better Mexican options in the city, but I'm sure the vibes here are fun! I think I have to give this place a second chance.

I love the casual open concept of this place, it felt very inviting and the staff were prompt and kind with service. I ordered the Baja crispy fish taco and the crispy chicken taco, which was surprisingly good. I enjoyed the complimentary fresh chips & salsa as well. To drink, I ordered the hibiscus margarita, I didn't enjoy this at all. I forced myself to finish it but the flavors just didn't mix well in my opinion. I'm not sure if the tacos are worth $6-$7 for just one, but it is Fulton Market so I guess that's to be expected. I'd probably stop back in for a quick bite to eat if I didn't have other options.

1st time and it was nice. I've had them bookmarked for a few months and decided to check them out today. We came abt 130 and there weren't any other patrons. Seated wherever. Everyone working there was extremely friendly, and accommodating! The energy was crazy amazing. We ordered 2 crispy fish tacos, 4 carne asada, & 1 beef birria taco. 2 margaritas and 2 Sandia Santa drinks. Everything was great! I didnt care for the birria taco tho. Too sweet for my liking. But those juicy sweet steak tacos... Lord have mercy! I could eat those daily. The fish tacos were good also. They topped it off with anejo shots! Baby I would return!!! The service alone makes them 5 stars.

This place makes you feel like you are in a taqueria in mexico. All detail in the location makes you get the full experience. Food is overpriced for a taqueria and with a fusion/upscale taco experience. The rib eye burrito was tasty. Just needed a steak and topic generosity being that most of the burrito was the tortilla wrapping. Al pastor was not the greatest and did not taste fresh. Service began well then lacking in attention despite location being half empty. The tunes playing were both Mexican hits and reguetón classics. Good vibe.

Go to any market in Mexico and they'll treat you the exact same. Unfortunately for them their original Southside location is closed due to a fire but they'll be back hopefully soon! My son and daughter both ordered their Birria Tacos, my wife ordered their Quesabirria tacos and I ordered their Tazon Chico of their carnaza Birria of course. It also came with a side of their handmade tortillas. Everything tasted so fresh and the Birria was very delicious. So much flavor in the consome. Ordering the tazon is definitely they way to go here because you get the meat in the consome. But if you wanted meat only, you have the option of ordering their plato instead. Regardless of what you order here, you won't go wrong. Enjoy!

I ordered the Paloma, and my husband got the Michelada, both super refreshing and made well. For food, I ordered the El Gringo with rice and salad. I definitely wish I had swapped the salad for beans, because my husband got both rice and beans, and I ended up finishing my rice and helping with his too lol. Highly recommend this dish, just go for the beans instead of the salad! My husband also ordered three tacos: Al Pastor, Chorizo, and Carne Asada, all of which were really good. One of the fun touches is that they have QR codes at the table to leave a Google review, and if you do, you get to spin a prize wheel. Of course I had to try it, and it made the whole experience even more fun. I ended up winning a free double shot!
