Small but cute taco restaurant with an attached small grocery store. They also now sell alcohol. Service is fast and attentive. The tacos arrive pretty quickly too. I love the extensive taco options. I'm a weird person and love getting brains, sweet meats, and tongue, all very soft items. These are hard to find elsewhere. They also have more seasoned taco fillings. They provide raw sliced radish which cuts the grease. Last time we also got some grilled large green onion. They have 3 sauce options, all fairly spicy, and one is a bit smoky. All taste great. Their frescas are real blended fruit. My favorite is the watermelon. They also have smoothies and milk shakes that look really good.

Takes credit card with fee. This probably the best tacos I had in Chicago. Coming from LA, unfortunately I would say they are average The tacos are small. Comes with 2 tortillas from Chepe Tortilla's. Unfortunately, the meat unseasoned. They have green, red, and habero sauce on the table. Suadero $3- very crispy and crunchy. I would skip this. Longganisa $3- flavor is bland. I would skip this. Cabeza $3- super soft. Super fatty. But under-seasoned.. Lengua $4- also super soft. Sliced. I'm not very strong flavor. Asada $4.25- it's large slice of skirt steak. It was average. Instead of diced for you, it's a large piece of meat Pastor $3- prob the best Al pastor tacos I have had. I would come back to get this again. Soursoap drink large $7.99

This is my favorite family run taco place. All the tacos here are high quality. My favorite is the lengua and asada tacos. They are generous with the meat and small vegetable bulbs. I will be coming back here. Service and atmosphere is nice.

Three tacos (carne asada, pastor, suadero) with lime, radish, and sauces

Their tacos are small so I suggest getting 3-4 tacos. Each taco averages out to be $3-4 each depending on what you get. There's one guy in the kitchen making all the tacos fresh. Their meats are so good. The carne asada is cooked perfectly and has a good amount of chewiness and comes in strips of beef. Their pastor is also good and I suggest getting it with pineapple and you can def taste the flavor of it. Their suadero is also pretty good that has the texture of ground beef but I prefer the carne asada. I also had the guanabana agua fresca and it reminded me the flavor of a starburst. The seating inside is on the smaller side and there are tables and chairs that could seat 20-25 people at most. Bring cash bc there's a 3% surcharge if you use a credit card. With my three tacos (that come out to be small but bursting with a lot of flavor with each bite) and my agua fresca came out to be $16.06 in total. They also give you lime, radish, mild and hot sauce with your tacos. I would come here again bc the tacos are worth it. It's made fresh and you can see the guy making it in the kitchen.

The restaurant is tucked into a small grocery store. The area is filled with vibrant tables and chairs and the space is filled with eye catching novelties all around. Really fun just to sit back and look around. Service was excellent! Wonderfully warm and friendly. We ordered three different types of street tacos to share soooo yummy! Radishes, limes, and hot sauce brought to the table. Take it easy with the habanero sauce unless you're feeling very daring!! we happen to come in at a good time so it wasn't very busy but while we were there it filled up fast. So there could be a little bit of a wait when you arrive. Totally recommend!

This place is the GOAT. Real Mexico City style tacos! The suadero, asada and Al pastor are amazing. The aqua Fresca are big and perfect. Not overly sugary. If you are looking for some authentic Mexico City tacos come here!

Awesome tacos but beware, the wait is long. Highly recommended to call in your order. Took about 40 minutes. There's also a mini mart inside but it's mostly functioning as a restaurant. There are a decent number of tables as well, but the majority of the orders seemed to be takeout. They are super generous with the sauces/salsas with the tacos which I appreciate.

A small neighborhood restaurant but man does it pack a punch! Friendly service and great tasting food! There's indoor and out door seating. I sat inside and had a torta and a frozen lemonade. Both had great flavor and seasoned to perfection. I'll definitely be coming back

The tacos here were absolutely insane. So delicious. I came as a part of a food tour group, and this place seriously did not disappoint.

The place is small with a hard time to walk around when it's full. It's a nice bar restaurant and didn't realized until we were leaving that there's a back area. The bartenders could be a little more social and happy bc that seem a bit dull and unhappy working there. Unlike Martin he was happy. Mildred was our server and she did phenomenal. We stood at the door for about 20 minutes before someone finally told us the wait would be 1-2 hours. Keep in mind, the place is pretty small and already crowded, so there's barely any room to stand while you wait. After getting on the waitlist, we decided to go to a nearby spot for food--but not even 5 minutes later, we got called back saying our table was ready. When we returned, we were seated along the wall in a very tight space--so tight that if I stretched my arm out, I would've hit the person next to me. We noticed a large table nearby had been sitting for a while without food. When their food finally came out, it made us realize our wait would probably be even longer. After another 20 minutes passed and we still hadn't been able to order, we decided to leave. I'm not sure the space is fully ready for the rush right now--it feels overcrowded and service is slow. I'll give it another try once the hype dies down. I'm happy for their success, though--just be prepared to be patient when you go.

Starting with margaritas (because obviously ‍), queso and chips that were dangerously good, and the chicken empanadas that came out perfectly crispy with so much flavor. We kept looking at each other after every bite like "okay wait... THIS is the best thing here" and then another plate would arrive and prove us wrong again The carnitas fried rice??? I genuinely cannot stop thinking about it. So savory, flavorful, comforting, and packed with crispy carnitas on top with the eggs and pickled onions... literally unreal. And then the skirt steak tacos absolutely stole the show. The steak was cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and paired so perfectly with all the toppings and sauces. Every single bite tasted fresh and homemade in the best way possible. And can we talk about the ambience for a second because WOW. The music, the energy, the vibe inside, everyone celebrating, the drinks flowing -- it felt like the perfect Cinco de Mayo dinner spot. The service was also AMAZING from start to finish and made the entire experience even better. One of those dinners where you leave already talking about when you're coming back If you're looking for the place to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, date night, tacos & margaritas, or honestly just an incredible dinner in general... this is IT

When we tried them we realized she accidentally gave us each other's. No big deal but it happened again with the food when a different server brought it out. She stopped once to take our order and once to bring the drinks. That's it. We did not get checked on until we were already almost done with our food. Cute patio. Inside seating wasn't busy at all.

Appetizers were quac and chips, and shrimp ceviche. The guac was really good, but the ceviche was the star. Served on a bed of cucumbers, it was visually beautiful, and the flavor was fresh and complex. There was also a LOT of it. We ended up taking some home. Entrees were steak and shrimp for me, and Tampiquena for my friend. In both dishes, the steak was done to perfection. The sauce that came with my shrimp was spicy and deep--lots of flavor layers there. Both of us took home portions of our meals because there was a lot of food on the plates. Finally, the service--the servers are attentive without hovering. If we needed something, they were there, but never intrusive. It is hard to believe this is a little neighborhood spot, given the service and the quality of the food. It was not too busy tonight--we ate early--but I recommend reservations. It is very popular with the neighborhood. Bottom line, we each had 2 margaritas, appetizers, and entrees, and our bills with tip were around $105.00 each--totally worth it! Only real negatives were that they did not offer any draft beer options and the Chips y Salsa ($3.75) had a meager quantity of chips to eat their tasty and generous tomatillo and 3-chile salsa options. Would actually go 4.5 stars based on those 2 factors, but gave the benefit of the extra half star due to how good our service was and the excellent flavor of the veggie sandwich.
