A cute little place. I enjoyed the atmosphere and everyone was friendly. Service was fast and you could pay at the table whenever you were finished. Food was decent. I felt it was quite pricy for the portion of food.

Came here with a few friends on Sunday afternoon. Upon entry, the space was large with minimal decoration. The place is filled with metal tables and chairs, pretty low key. We were quickly seated, the waiter immediately greeted us and asked for our drinks. I ordered the birria quesadillas and a horchata. The food came quickly and was fresh. The birria quesadilla was delicious. The horchata was a bit diluted compared to what I had in other places. The service was great, the food was delicious and little bit smaller than I anticipated. But will come back when I'm around this area.

delicious taco after the statue of liberty tour. Location is great and foods are all delicious. Only the waiter is bit over warning and we need some private space...

After getting to my hotel at the Hilton DoubleTree downtown in the financial district, I was looking for a quick bite to eat on a Wednesday evening around 8:30 P.M. Not many restaurants are open that late in the Financial District, but Tacombi was one of the restaurants open! There were so many great review on Yelp that I just had to try it out! Tacombi in FiDi is located on Broad street. The current hours are from 11:00 A.M to 11:00 P.M Monday - Sunday. When I had arrived around 8:30, the restaurant was busy! I asked the team member at the Tacombi entrance if I could place an order to go! Looking through Tacombi's menu There are a wide range of options from Tacos Quesadillas Burritos Entradas: Corn Esquites, Rice & Beans, Guacamole and more! I ended up getting [2] Tacos to go Ribeye Deluxe Taco: Thinly sliced Ribeye. Service with Avocado Tomatillo salsa, onions, and jalapenos. Al Pastor: Pork thinly sliced, cilantro, diced onions and pineapple I waited about 15 minutes for my order which wasn't too bad considering how busy it was inside the restaurant! Once my order was ready, the team members at Tacombi provided a to-go bag with napkins inside! Each Taco was put in a individual box, which was really nice! The first taco I ended up eating was the Ribeye Taco! It was delicious! The Ribeye was tender and juicy! The tomatillo salsa was a perfect addition and it wasn't too spicy either! The Al Pastor Taco was really good too. The pork was marinated in a special chilies and spices. It was quite flavorful! The Pineapple was fresh and juicy! The additional ingredients such as the cilantro and the diced onions blended well with the Al Pastor Taco. I plan on going back to Tacombi again the next time I'm in NYC for their Ribeye Taco again. It was scrumptious and one of my favorite items that I've had in the Financial District so far!

Solid spot with reasonable prices. Came on a Saturday late night and got a few different tacos along with the queso masa crunch. - Baja fish taco had a great crispy batter and the balance of tomato and lettuce worked really well with the fish. The avocado crema was good but a bit heavy-handed and slightly overpowered the other flavors. - Queso masa crunch was fun and had great texture, but was overall pretty bland but much better once I supplemented with the salsas. - Birria taco was pretty tasty and the tiny cup of consomme was packed with flavor (and also super cute). Overall everything was fine but nothing stood out on its own. I didn't love the texture of these corn tortillas but it's a great spot to hang out with friends and get a quick drink and bite at a price that won't break the bank.

I love this place! The food is delicious! I bought the birria tacos, beef tacos, rice and beans, carne asada burrita, and corn. The fish tacos are absolutely the best! Everything was delicious and tasty. I ordered through Uber Eats and picked it up. I am obsessed with this place because my family and I love the food here.

I had an hour to kill between 7:45 and 8:45 and this was the place to be. I stopped by for a quick meal for one and the service was top notch. The entire experience reminded me of authentic Mexico City and I felt like I somehow took a flight to the heart of Mexico City in minutes. Esquites - 8/10 Avocado Tostada - 10/10 (ordered 2x) Black Bean Taco - 6/10 ( I personally do not like black beans or sweet potato) Churros - 6/10

4 stars?! Not enough. Food here was bomb and I'm visiting from CA. The decor was authentic and nice service. Everything we tried was sooo yummy! I had Chicken tacos with some tasty homemade tortillas that were maybe dipped in enchilada sauce. The esquite was a lil spicy for my weak spice palate. You know the place will be good when the chips and salsa are good. Recommend the guacamole too. Spicy marg hit the spot. Great stop after visiting Lady Liberty. Yay!

I can't believe after four years this place however finally we did it. I'm so glad. The ambiance inside is much nicer than I thought. There is plenty of seating inside and on the tables a cute little candle to bring some calming experience. The menu has a limited set of options however, what we tried was delicious. I would recommend the Birria tacos and the fish tacos. He also tried the Birria Ramen, which I would say was quite disappointing, compared to the rest of the food, especially at that price point. Flavor felt lacking, compared to the tacos themselves. The sites are delicious the rice and beans and corn. One I have is that the tortilla chips cannot be ordered separately (I have an avocado allergy) from the guacamole which was surprising. The first time we had gone the waiter had been accommodating however the second time they had declined the request. Food is tasty definitely solid meal, especially on the Tuesday special. Interesting to see things will go given new taco places are opening in the area.

This place was great! Service was absolutely amazing, some of the friendliest staff in the city. And the vibe here is great with dim lighting and vast seating choices. It's also very spacious. We only came here for a little snack but the menu options all sounded good. Got the house marg, chips and quac, and the Al pastor taco. The taco was one of the best el pastor tacos I've ever had and the tortillas are great. Along with that, the chips are so crunchy and have a nice thickness to them. Alongside their perfectly crafted guacamole it's such a good pairing! Definitely will try to come back soon and highly recommend!

El Califa de León Collab was questionable. Not understanding the slice meat on tortilla .. Guac n Chips was simple and good.

Possibly the worst tacos I've ever had. Seasonless, tasteless. I took literally one bite of each, spit those bites out, and left.
    Domenic M.

I absolutely hate writing bad reviews. The taco collab is a disaster. Califa de Leon should take their name off of this menu so people don't unfairly associate them with what happened here. The featured tacos are seasonless, tasteless, and a complete disappointment. Just got to Califa de Leon, seriously. I've eaten a lot of tacos all over the world. Believe me when I say that these were the absolute worst. No hyperbole, they were the worst I've ever had. One bite, I spit them out, and we asked for the check. I know Califa de Leon taught the kitchen to make these, but they need to be re-trained. I'd suggest CdL sends an anonymous taster and see where it's gone wrong. Drinks weren't good at all. Agua de Sanīa missed the mark by a mile. Overly sweet and can't taste the alcohol at all. They could improve the drink my adding agave sugar around the rim instead of into the drink.

It delivered on both fronts, but I really was blown away by the wine. The sheer quantity of available wines is really impressive, and the sommelier was able to recommend a rare wine that fit our interests (a fantastic, effervescent, creamy Txakoli that had lovely fruit and minerals). Later, I tried amazing ice cider. The food rundown: -Sesame pizza Bianca: complimentary bread! This was very good and quite sizable. The bottom is entirely encrusted with sesame. -Scallop crudo (rhubarb, shiso): very good and the plating was gorgeous. Meaty scallops with tangy and pungent flavors. -Snowdance chicken (spinach, sherry, thyme): Super tender, crispy-skinned chicken in a savory sherry sauce. -Sea bass (asparagus, hollandaise): I was surprised at how remarkably well this dish worked. The asparagus was so good with the rich, buttery sauce. Definitely a smaller portion, but the chicken was huge so it balanced out. -Potatoes with ramps: Yum. Served hashbrown-style and the ramps were added as little sauce dollops. I loved the space, and by that I mean the ambience and also the literal amount of space we had to ourselves. We got to stretch out in a roomy corner booth. The room featured a lot of exposed brick and grey and utilitarian ceilings, but it manages to be cozy all the same.

We came in on a Friday evening and it was pretty quiet inside. After we were sat down upstairs, it took a long time for our waitress to come to take our order. All three had very strong flavors that were not balanced with the rest of the drink. After we finished our drinks, we waited an especially long time for the waitress to come back, check on us, and give us our bill. It was especially frustrating because we were the only ones in the bar at this point and we could hear them chatting downstairs. Overall, both service and the drinks need improvement.
