After a quick search and review of restaurants in the area my friend and I decided on Palm Street and I'm glad we went. The place is both airy yet cozy with a modern tropical touch. They had cute inflated trees which really gave it that "Island" feeling. After being shown to a decent sized table by a friendly waitress we took a look at the menu...both paper and electronic and began to discuss the options. We decided on two apps...pork dumplings and a spicy octopus served cold. For mains we went with the "flaming" lamb chops and the prime braised short rib. We got a side of jasmine rice to accompany the mains. The apps came out and they smelled great. The octopus was tender and in a vinegar based sauce that was absolutely fantastic...a bit of sweet but mostly heat. The 5 dumplings were large and had a great ratio of breading(noodle?) to meat and were cooked perfectly. The flavor was spot on. Next cane the mains. We had quite the show as they flambé the lamb chops until they had a nice crust. They were tender and succulent with a strong pepper flavor that worked well with the red wine reduction sauce. The primed braised short rib was out of this world. Fork tender and shredded with a slight oniony yet complex sauce. It paired well with the jasmine rice. We were both so stuffed that we skipped dessert but left a nice tip for the outstanding service. We will be back.

For entrees, we ordered the Flaming Lamb Chop ($35), which they literally light on fire in front of you. They then pour their gravy on top of it, which tastes great. For the price of three pieces of lamb chop, maybe not worth it. The Seafood Delight ($38) was better for the price you pay if you love seafood. It comes with a variety of seafood, including lobster tail, shrimp, mussels, and squid. Unfortunately the entrees do not come with rice, so a cup of Jasmine Rice will run you $1.50. For dessert, we split an order of the Tiramisu ($10), which they went all out on presentation. Not the best tiramisu I've had, but it satisfied my sweet tooth.

It was only after I asked him for the third time, "Should I look for tables that are completely empty?" that he replied, "Yes," in a clearly irritated tone. I apologize for being such an inconvenience to you, Sir. It seems this employee has lost sight of his responsibilities. His tone, behavior, and demeanor were entirely inappropriate and unnecessary.
