Came here on Taco Tuesday...a lot of peeps here also, but it was easy to get a table. The atmosphere was really fun. They played great music and the service people were extremely cheerful and sweet. We both ordered a couple of draft beers. We decided to get the chips and salsa for a nominal charge and we both ordered two carne asada street tacos each. This was plenty of food for us. The salsas were both extremely mild, so we asked for some hotter options. Our sweet waitress brought us three separate bottles of the good stuff...orange one being the hottest...I assume it was habanero....that stuff was crazy hot and good. We mixed those into the other bland salsas and got a perfect match!!! Tacos were full of meat and tasted good...but certainly not near the best you can buy in this town...so I dock a star for that since the restaurant's name includes "Taco" in it. Made a quick stop at a restaurant. The restaurant is located in the strip mall, easy to find with plenty of parking. I had two tacos - fish taco and crunchy chicken taco. Ordered online and super disappointed. You can see from previous photos there was more filling and these tortillas are horrible! They literally fell apart when I picked them up. I truly I don't understand why they gave me half the filling of meat? $20 for 2 tacos and 2 sides. I would have been better off ordering from Roberto's. I got the enchiladas, and they were just... meh. Nothing terrible, but nothing memorable either. We also ordered two margarita flights, but were told they had "run out of glasses," so only one came out. The second one didn't arrive until after we had finished eating and were already asking for the bill, which felt a little pointless by that point. The sauces were also just okay. My friend got a trio of tacos and their favorite was the shrimp. They said to skip the el pastor! The chips and guacamole were very good, though the salsas weren't my favorite. Not spicy at all. Service was fine, not bad but not great. First visit to Tacos & Beer. Arrived there around noon for a work lunch. It's just a few minutes from my work and it wasn't crowded and food came out pretty quick. The place has cool decor and the service is excellent. I went with the 2 Tacos + 2 Sides. For my tacos I had the Carne Asada and Chicken Tinga. Both good but my fave was the chicken one. For my sides I had the Cilantro Rice and the Pinto Beans. My coworker had the Carne Asada Fries and loved them. Look forward to going back and trying some of the other tacos. read more

Came here because family couldn't decide on which Mexican eatery to try. I don't typically eat Mexican food in Vegas so I wasn't sure which one is good. The service is great! Our waitress was really nice and helpful. Bathrooms are clean. Now for food. The Queso Fundido with chorizo was excellent. It comes with 4 small flour tortillas (they look handmade but I could be wrong). Unfortunately for me that was the only thing I really enjoyed. The fish taco had no flavor (3 of us ordered it). Not even the lime or hot sauce could save it. The shrimp was ok, not bad. The al pastor was a bit sweet for me but that could be because of the pineapple. Happy Hour Spot - Tacos & Margs Great spot for happy hour 3-6, margs are $5 and they have street tacos for $3 a piece. I would say the avg person would eat at least 3 of these bad boys. The chips and salsa are pretty basic, green salsa is pretty mild, the red is chucky, add in some of their bottled hot spices (orange one or habanero) and you have something to work with. We ordered their $3 street tacos! Carne Asada, Chicken Asada, and Al Pastor Pork were all fire! The meats were so tender and flavorful! They have someone hand making the tortillas on-site, which was awesome to see. I also had to try the crunchy taco - mashed potatoes, seasoned ground beef, lettuce, pico, crema, and cheese in a light crispy taco shell. That taco was so delicious, it melted in my mouth. Chips and salsa are really good! Both salsas were mild, but delicious! $3.95 for chips & salsa, the price is questionable. I find it odd when you go to a Mexican restaurant and they charge you for chips and salsa. They have a lot of great local beers on tap. They also have margaritas on draft which I thought was cool. This used to be one of our favorite spots to eat at with the best shrimp tacos. However, as of late it's seemed to have taken a turn. Last time we were in there the queso was so watery it tasted like 1/2 water 1/2 cheese. It wouldn't even stay on your chip. And the shrimp tacos, so sad... all three were SO FISHY. Considering that i understand the retainer is very close to the strip so it makes sense. I ordered three tacos and a pint margarita. The margarita was good but nothing to write home about. The salsas were super good though. I got three tacos and that was the perfect amount of food. Overall the food quality was good but nothing to write home about. It's perfectly acceptable tacos but I prefer street tacos or El Gordos over this and that doesn't mean this isn't a good spot to try every now and again. The staff was quick and friendly, our server was a little hard to understand but he was patient. I noticed that when you say an item they clarify if you wanted the higher priced item. And several times we had corrected them on the item we wanted to order which was a little more affordable. Interior is nice, the front area towards the entrance was a bit dark for whatever reason. Hands down, the BEST I've ever had... Well, up until 2 +/- years ago that is, when they CHANGED THE MENU, and removed almost ALL of the BEST ones! Before that, I would order 8-10 tacos, EVERY visit, and I would go almost weekly; I would order the EXACT same 5 or 6 tacos, some I would get 2 of. Then when they changed the menu, I would only order the EXACT same 5 tacos EVERY TIME, sometimes I would order 2x of each, depending on the chef that day. I just went 2 days ago, discovered a beer they had that I loved, so I went again today for some tacos, and that beer... And guess what: THEY CHANGED THE MENU AGAIN!!! And guess what they did this time: REMOVED the LAST of the tacos that kept me coming back: NO chicken tinga, NO barbacoa, NO puerco verde... I ordered a beer and left. I used to spend $50-$70 every time I went, if I was with my gf, over $100. And I/ we would go almost weekly. I would bring my friends and family in when they came to visit... Everybody I took loved it!! But after today, I/ we (ALL) might be done... The owner needs to understand that making the tacos that taste the BEST and what they sell the MOST of, is A LOT more important than keeping the tacos based on their simplicity to make; I and/ or people (would) come to this place for: 1: The INCREDIBLE tacos, 2: The INCREDIBLE rotating beers on tap, and 3: The INCREDIBLE ambiance... Let's start with rhe food. It's very good. I actually order takeout quite a lot because they are very close to me. I absolutely love the plain bean & cheese burrito, but all the tacos are very good. Ive dined in a few times and the food is always pretty good. Last week. We arrived with my service dog in a service dog carrier and opted to sit on the patio, the server came at us pretty hot with the rules. I understand that different establishments have different rules, and as with most people i agree with some, but might not see the point of all. Regardless I agree that rules are up to the establishment and it's my choice to eat here. I maybe mistakenly assumed that dogs were permitted on outdoor patios. Either way the server could have delivered the information in a better way, rather than harshly list all the things we absolutely could not do. It was her tone more than her rules that made it unpleasant. I understand why a restaurant may not be able to provide water or food bowls, however not being able to provide water seems a little excessive. I had water for my dog but it was just off putting for her to be so aggressive about it. Additionally, we planned to get takeout sandwiches from somewhere but then decided to eat at this place instead. I know that businesses no longer care if customers are happy but its just disappointing when one person has the ability to alter your experience in a negative way. Ultimately we had a fine dinner experience, although she annoyed me and significantly upset my aunt. I was visiting with relatives I dont get to see often and we were discussing a heavy family topic. But regardless ots not enjoable to be disciplined right as you sit down. The original negativity was completely unnecessary. Maybe the server has had to deal with unruly dog owners in the past but it was just disappointing. Overall she seemed to cool off after that I felt she tried to make up for it later.
