    2 Tacos Al Pastor

Taco Tuesday! If you are ever in the Echo Park area you need to stop by Tacos Arizas!!! They have always been one of my favorite spots in this community. I was there a couple weeks ago right before a Dodger game and you know I had to pick up SUMN LIGH NUTHN 2 CRAZY! I picked up two al pastor tacos and an al pastor burrito and everything was delicious as always! They are located on the corner of Sunset Blvd and Logan St (right outside of the Walgreens/Lassens parking lot). Make sure to check them out!

Don't get me wrong, there's no such thing as a bad taco (not that I've had at least). But this place is pretty run of the mill... Like, would I eat here again? Yeah! Sure. But it wouldn't ever be my choice, there's just so many better options for street tacos in a 2 mile radius, imo The meat quality here is pretty low, the asada and cabeza were very rubber-y and kinda gross. I did like that the tacos came out really hot! If I returned I would get the carnitas, best of the 3 I had for sure. Not bad persay, but also...not good lol

I love these taco trucks especially when I'm a bit hungry after head banging at a heavy metal gig at The Echo and most restaurants are closed. The place was busy and I put my order in for a bean & cheese burrito it wasn't but a few minutes before I received it. The tortillas are homemade thickness which I love and the spicy hot sauce that I added was perfect for my midnight munchies.

This used to be one of my most favorite taco trucks. Not anymore. The carne asada in my tacos was definitely not ranchera meat. It was dry, tough, tasteless, and full of big chunks of fat. The clincher was watching them serve a guy who wasn't wearing a mask. He must have been a friend of theirs, because they opened up the back door of the truck for him, and he was leaning into the interior of the truck, and eating his food. See the pictures I've attached. I won't be back.

The Al Pastor was awesome. The Carne Asada wasn't crispy but was pretty tasty. The Cabeza was a soggy, flavorless pile. It was the first time I'd tried cabeza. If this is what it usually tatses like I'm done with it. No horchata, no tamarindo, no Jamaica. And the area near the wall where I planned to enjoy my meal smelled like pee. For a half dozen Al Pastor tacos to go this places is perfect. For a little more fully rounded meal they miss the mark.

One asada one pastor taco on their eating ledge

This taco truck was fine, CASH OR ZELLE OR CASHAPP ONLY. This was our second choice because we didn't have cash for taco zone. I had two tacos, one asada and one pastor. The meat was good but the cilantro and onions comes MIXED so I couldn't get it without onions. There's standing area only. We parked in the Lassens parking lot and had to walk around the fence but it was fine. Would eat here again.

This was literally my first experience eating something out of a C-rated kitchen. I didn't even notice the sign until after I had inhaled my entire carne asada burrito, otherwise there is no way I would have eaten here. We spotted this food truck after coming out of The Echo past midnight and it was still open with a good amount of people in line. For $5, I copped a carne asada burrito that came out shortly. They had the sauces, jalapenos, cucumbers and limes lined up at the front of the truck for easy access. My burrito was warm and decently sized, although the tortilla was doughy. The overall experience was not memorable but got the job done. I didn't think the sauce was too spicy BUT the sensation hit me later and my mouth was on FIRE. How deceiving! I wish I just didn't see their Environmental Health grade at all because I would've left satisfied rather than feeling nervous about a possible food poisoning situation! Cash only.

Great tacos, great service and very good price. $1.25 tacos are off the chain. we stopped here after reading a bunch of reviews on tacos in LA we wanted to hit the famous taco zone but it was only 7:00 pm and that truck did not roll in yet. my brother and I tried 5 different types of tacos and they were all excellent. next time I am in this part of town i will make it a point to stop back in .there are 4 milk crates and one cheep table so if your looking for a place to dine don't expect too much . the food is what is all about here.

Here are the hours of operation. Careful to read the AM/PM notes.

Quite possibly the best carnitas meat I have experienced from a taco truck. These carnitas are better than Taco Zone three blocks away. Thumbs up. The al Pastor lacked flavor and character. Thumbs down. Condiments section was missing limon and avocado sauce. The green and red sauce made the tacos saltier than they should have. Neither sauce was inspired. Thumbs down. Flavorful tortillas. Service was fast. Thumbs up. Recommend the carnitas taco with just the onion and cilantro and find a lime somewhere, then you are eating a four star taco.

Carne asada not seared to appropriate crispness, but rather soggy and gray. Also over-salted. Redeeming quality is that it is open til 2 am.

Ask the Community - Tacos Arizas

Is this the taco truck used in the movie "The Hero" where Sam Elliott is seen chowing down on tacos and running into a recent new aquaintance?

    Yes it is.

Can someone find out what the pork is marinated in? Trying to determine if they are gluten free/have gluten free options?

Cousins Francisco Aguilar and Alexis Chacon relocated from Oaxaca to open this mobile mariscos operation. But Simon's seafood-forward menu is innovative and sophisticated, seemingly more at home in a sit-downery than a mobile food cart. Unsurprisingly, Simon has been lauded by news outlets and food critics abound. I've been dying to try Simon, but the limited and often unpredictable hours have kept me from it for months. My partner and I visited for a late weekend lunch and ordered immediately. We opted for 2 tacos (the Soft Shelled Crab and the Baja-style Fish) and a Large Aguachile Negro, and our made-to-order meal was prepared within a few minutes. Between the tacos, the crab was a clear winner. The crispy, whole crab was well-complemented by the fresh pineapple salsa and the rich chipotle crema. In stark contrast, the Baja-style fried fish was one-dimensional in flavor and ran on the soggy side, owing to the watery pickled cabbage slaw. But not even the crab taco could compete with the stellar aguachile. We couldn't get enough of the marinade's rich blend of acidity and smokiness, which overshadowed even the generous helping of fresh shrimp. Simon's complimentary salsa lineup also exceeded expectations. We most enjoyed the earthy salsa macha and the smooth, creamy salsa verde, but the tangy salsa Simon -- the truck's take on taco sauce -- was no slouch, either. Our bill totaled just over $30, and the meal felt reasonably priced and appropriately filling. While the tacos didn't knock my socks off, the aguachile certainly did -- I can't wait to return to try some of Simon's other varieties.
