I was really hopeful after reading all the reviews, but after having to give my dogs at least 1/3 of the fatty shredded beef in my taco salad I felt disappointed. And the meat was mushy as well. Lots of taco choices and friendly service. Very pleased with the two tacos I tried- super authentic street tacos, and with meat choices you don't find very often. But my Chile Relleno was a major letdown- soggy, not crispy (likely a result of too low temp on the oil), and clearly the oil needed changed. Positive: We had our kids with us and they needed some "custom" orders- they made their nachos just how they wanted. Make sure you get the horchata- creamy and full of flavor. Seating inside is at a premium, so choose your time carefully, or call ahead and order in advance to pick up. Or better yet, get it delivered through Mad Dash Delivery. I came in expecting to be blown away because of the recommendations I have received; didn't match my expectations. But if I were only ordering tacos, definitely a go to. read more

This place was absolutely amazing. I stayed in Lewiston 2 nights and went here for breakfast and dinner both days. The food is very good and cheap, and the staff is very friendly. I would recommend the wet burrito, their speciality tacos, or the breakfast burrito. Those items however, were the only things I got: everyone who I ate with loved what they had as well. The atmosphere is very cozy and laidback. This is your classic hole-in-the-wall authentic Mexican spot that you would expect to find in Mexico itself. read more

I have to admit that I was a little underwhelmed on my first visit. I think I just didn't get the right thing. But my second visit was outstanding. The tacos were great. So this place is a small place. Slow down or you may miss it! I've been to this place several times now and the food is so good. It is simple and not over-dressed with fancy salsas or slaws. The menu is also pretty simple, but offers diners a variety. I usually order tacos; carnitas, tripas or carne asada. Tacos run $1.75 each, which is a steal for the area. Tacos in Moscow/Pullman cost much more. The tacos are made to order and you can see your food being made. The salsas are hot, but flavorful. The staff are friendly and hustle. I'm from Eugene, OR and was headed to the Washington State football game. I found this place on Yelp and I'm glad I did. For such a middle of nowhere place like, I was shocked. Absolutely the best traditional Mexican food I've had since I lived in Mexico for a few months. The gorditas were absolutely amazing and authentic. I also had like 5 tacos, one of each flavor they were crazy good. If you like true Mexican food, you're probably not going to find much better anywhere, which includes even Mexico itself. The prices were very agreeable. I wish this place was closer to where I lived or I'd be a regular. Do yourself a favor and eat here if you somehow find yourself in Lewiston, Idaho. read more

Best and most "authentic" Mexican food in the LC Valley, maybe with the exception of Jose's truck on Bridge Street in Clarkston. It's friendly. It's colorful. The Walla Walla tacos are amazing, but I have a hard time passing up the carne asada. If you have an appetite, might as well make it a platter. Horchata is a must. See you tomorrow! read more

Some tast, tasty tacos. Have the Campechano taco, which is fantastic and bursts with juicy chorizo goodness. If you like pork rinds, have the chicharrones taco as well. The carne asada, lengua, and al pastor were delicious. The salsas are both very tasty, and they have good horchata. What more can one ask for? read more

As a Mexican food snob, and more specifically, a New Mexican food snob, this is the BEST Hispanic food in the valley! The ONLY true Hispanic food in the valley (other then my kitchen ). I've had some very unique dishes from this friendly, little joint. They don't know what red or green chile is, but they do a nice job despite this. Their chirizo and shredded pork are my favorites. Try a stuffed chile rellano (made with Plabano peppers...odd), very good! I love watching them cook. My one complaint is they need a hotter fresh salsa. The real deal, a true hole-in-the-wall Mexican joint. I've had the beef fajitas twice and they're the best I've eaten this side of the Red River. Battered translucent red CocaCola cups, chipped Formica countertops and real Mexican natives cooking and serving the goods. Super delicious taco truck! If I lived in Lewiston I'd be eating here for lunch and dinner like 4 to 5 times a week. Andrew R is definitely correct in the fact that it's the best Mexican in this greater area. The prices are amazing for the good quality food this lady serves (both times I ate there a super friendly and cute woman was working the truck. not sure if anyone else works here). I dealt strictly with the tacos and Tamales. I live in Texas and you gotta trust me that they're right on for high quality taste and genuineness for Mexican food. The tacos carnitas was my favorite. My only slight complaint would be that they don't have flour tortillas for the tacos (only corn). But thats just the gringo in me. Green salsa is spicy. Red salsa is milder and delicious. I can't believe there aren't more reviews for this place. Cecy's is the best food I had in Lewiston. If you have some time and are visiting you should also check out the huge antique/crazy vintage stuff store next to the lot that the taco truck is parked in. read more

About as authentic as it gets! We love this little place. Service is always quick and friendly. I can't break away from the Wet Burrito! It's excellent. The spice is just the right warmth no need to add and not too hot. Try it out! It would receive 5 stars but there is no AC and it is 100*+ outside and not much cooler inside. read more

We're visiting from San Antonio, home to lots of delicious Mexican food, and we still love the food here at Tacos Cecy! We ate here three times in a week of visiting, both breakfast and lunch. Some of our favorites are shrimp tacos, carnitas tacos, breakfast burritos, and the refried beans. One recommendation for the restaurant would be a wider variety of salsas served with the food, maybe something fresh. read more

We were in town for a short time and were craving for Mexican food. Their fish tacos are great and the taco salad with beef tongue is excellent! One of the best lengua tacos we ever had. I'm visiting family here and we grabbed some tacos from Tacos Cecy for dinner last night. They were delicious - very authentic and just the right balance of tortilla, meat, and toppings. It's very easy to get "real deal" taqueria food where we live and this place measures up 100%. I went 4 stars because the chili relleno was very authentic and very good. The Walla Walla tacos didn't look like the pics and were about 2 big bites. The flavors were there though. No chips at the table! I had a choice of corn or flour tortillas and I asked for chips. I was brought fresh crispy fried chips! Excellent! The salsas were pretty weak though. Green was hot without much flavor and red was mild without much flavor. No pico de gallo. I didn't ask but didn't see any. The place looked like a high end place in Loreto, Mexico. Very tacky and colorful. Maybe clean. Service was great. Very happy man greeted me when I came in and food was ordered and served quickly. I was impressed with the very cheap flexible ugly green plastic plate that dinner was served on. It was probably clean. Okay, I'm not really a clean freak or anything, but this place was beyond disgusting. I do not understand how they haven't been closed for health code violations. I've eaten at other places that were questionable and still ate the food. This place really is horribly disgusting.
