The second there was one chip left in the bowl, a fresh batch was already on its way out. I honestly couldn't believe it. The asada was the most flavorful I have ever had. I am still thinking about it!! We got to chat with the owner and he was so welcoming and personable, which just made the whole experience even better. This place was recommended to me by a coworker . I recommend it to you. I've been 3 times already. They have a variety of meat options which is what attracted me initially. The variety of tacos you can get is fun, try different ones . I really liked their tortillas which are handmade and tasty. I loved their salsas! For drinks they have a few flavors of Agua Frescas which are all refreshing . It's a small location with only a few tables and a phone number you can call for take out. It's located in a little strip mall next to a coffee place . This place is a small locally owned business. Absolutely the best burrito I have ever had and anyone who knows me knows that is saying something. I don't have a picture of the food itself because it was gone in 5.6 seconds, not because there wasn't a lot of it, but because it was THAAT good. Our whole party took a first bite and then there was just silence and chewing sounds and the occasional involuntary "wow". Be prepared to only pay cash/Zelle (there are ATMs nearby). From the homemade tortillas, to the fresh red salsa, these tacos were delicious! We had the tacos de Asada with tortillas hecho a mano, and Tijuana tacos with fresh made guacamole. These tacos were reasonably priced, and generously portioned. I absolutely hate writing one star (zero in this case) reviews for local, family run small joints. To be fair the word tacos in the name should have really great taco. Simple, straight forward. And Burritos, simple easy with good fresh ingredients. Fortunately they have several very good reviews to balance this one out. And the service was good. The owner/chef even came out to check on us.... I lied. said it was fine. Between us we had a couple of Asada Tacos & I ordered the carnitas, my go to. It was the worst burrito I've ever had.... OMG I don't know what was in that thing but carnitas it was not, mostly. I ate about a third of it. To be nice I asked for a to go box, which went straight into the next trash can I could find. The asada was dry, just about beef jerky. The tortillas were good, I'll give them that. I'm sorry guys, I really am, but this was so awful I had to say something. I visited Del Valle for lunch with my wife, first time here. The locación was tucked into a corner with parking right in front of business. The vibe inside was very welcoming we were given chips and salsa with cold glass of water right away (highly appreciated) it was hot outside. I ordered three asada tacos rice-beans the asada was dry and cooked at least once before. My issue was that if you're going to sell old dry meat don't sell at full price. This tiny taco shop is bomb! You have to try the Tijuana tacos with carne asada!!!!! They are loaded with beef and tons of fresh avocado and pico de gallo on a home made corn tortilla ladened with melted cheese! And they serve them with 3 different salsa's. So amazing!!!! A small restaurant, but totally worth ignoring the bright Taco Bell across the street for. What a treasure hidden in the middle of the desert. Frankly, you should go there just to make yourself feel better because the guy who runs the place is such a nice man and truly awesome and just getting to know the man is worth the trip. Obviously, the man's character must affect his food, because the tacos were awesome as well. Carne Asada and Al Pastor tacos were downright delicious. I've eaten here twice. It's definitely not five stars. The carne asada was full of gristle and fat. The chips were stale. The salsa was meh. The bathroom was filthy. There was a piece of kitchen equipment parked in the middle of the very small seating area. In addition, it was shut down three times in 2024 by Riverside County Health Dept for food safety and cleanliness violations. I will never go back. A great hole in the wall located in a Cat City mini mall that just happens to have the best Mexican comfort food in the area. The burritos are just out-freakin'-standing, with a great assortment of simple, tasty ingredients wrapped in a fresh tortilla. It's great, and I'd stack it favorably against anything in LA or SD. My husband and I stumbled upon this little gem and I'm so glad we did. The food is delicious! I ordered the California burrito and my husband had the enchiladas. The tortilla on the burrito had a slight "toasting" which I loved. My husband is an enchilada connoisseur and he said they were the best he has had, he loved the sauce on the enchiladas. The portions were ample, the restaurant was clean and the staff was very friendly. I'm guessing the guy doing the cooking is the owner. He went out of his way to come out to our table and chat and he was funny and warm. We aren't in Cat City too often but next time we are we will be stopping by Tacos Del Valle. read more

This place is a hidden gem. The shopping center is a little sketchy but don't let that detour you from experiencing the tacos. Everything is fresh and made to order so it takes a while to get your food. Call ahead for take out and give him some time to make the food. The homemade tortillas are the bomb!! I had the carnitas, carne asada and barbacoa. Of the three, the carnitas were my fave. The salsa that comes with the chips is so flavorful, not too spicy, but just good flavor which is how I love my salsa. I just wanted to take a jug of that stuff to go.
