This place is straight fire, it is top 2 taco places in New York City, and its not 2nd. You can get almost all the meats you can think of from al pastor to lengua to cabeza. Went to the local taqueria in Brooklyn! Got two tacos with steak and one with I believe was tongue meat It did taste a little chewy and to mushy, but maybe that's how it taste! But the steak tacos were made to perfection! There sautéd onions were amazing on the side and the cucumber slices just made it more delicious. I love the food but the customer service I had right now was horrible, I called to place an order for delivery they put me on hold because they are busy which I understand and then told me the wait was an hr to an hour and half which was fine because I love the food once I give they address they said it was outside their zone they only go to 10 ave and we live on 11 ave which I would have respected if I did t get multiple deliveries to my home before it just feels off putting and disappoint and not well organized read more

At the time of going to get tacos the truck had only been open for ONE WEEK. And if you could see the crowd waiting to eat these tacos when I went at 430 on a Saturday just 30min after they opened, you'd see what the hype is around here. Easily the best you can get in NY when it comes to real authentic tacos. Their Al Pastor is one of the best I've had, right on par with LA taco trucks. They are fast, efficient, and keep everyone separated. Horchata is very tasty, good balance of sweetness. I've had these tacos for YEARS now and they don't change a thing. Tacos El bronco is my favorite taco spot in the area! There always seems to be a crowd of people by the truck but there's never a long wait time. My boyfriend and I like to alternate between the Pastor (roast pork), Bistec (steak), Suadero (tender beef) and Enchilada (spicy pork). Also HIGHLY recommend the small Birria soup to dunk your tacos in or even drink by itself. Consume at your own risk because I find the soup itself a bit too salty. Don't forget the red and green sauces for that extra spice! read more

Amazing taco truck!!! Been going here for years and I absolutely love it. If you're from the neighborhood, you just know its really good. Granted there is always long lines, but it is worth the wait. Cheap $2 tacos, good quality, You just can't beat it read more

Hands down, they have the best tacos. I've tried their restaurant twice and the meat is entirely different from their food truck. The meat at this food truck is juicy, tender and seasoning on point. No wonder there's always a line. I love their beef tongues and veal head. Not a fan of the spicy pork. It was kind of dry and not spicy at all. This is my go to taco spot! I went last night (for the first time since returning from a trip to California) when I needed a flavor-explosion-hug, and this place did not disappoint! They're still the best cheap tacos in NYC IMO. I love Los Tacos No. 1 in Chelsea Market, but they're a bit expensive and cater to gringos. This place, however, is sooooooo fucking good! They remember me, as always, and it makes me feel like I'm a cast member of the show Cheers. I typically don't order tacos from other restaurants (unless all they serve is tacos) because I'm so used to the deliciousness they serve here, and few restaurants in NY live up to those standards. I also don't eat chicken tacos on GP, so I can't speak to how great or not they are here. I usually get their selection of offal tacos (cabeza, lengua, tripa) and they're so just wow wow. Wow wow wow wow (to the tune of Win by Jay Rock :). Nice grill marks and a slight crunch on the cabeza; the lengua melts in your mouth, and the tripa (when available), omg. Add some lime on everything, including the grilled spring onion and cucumbers, then squirt on some green sauce and yep, I'm in heaven. It reminds me of tacos I had in the Mission District in SF. Just some good-ass love in two or three bites. Their drinks are really good too. My favorites are watermelon, cantaloupe, guava and mango, when they're available. Their horchata is a little too sweet for me, but it's okay. Their soup is good, even their hot dogs are good. This place still slaps, and I've been a patron since 2012, when I used to live in Sunset Park. I'm scared to go to their truck on 9th ave because I'm not sure if it's as good. Their restaurant definitely isn't, but that's another story. I've been during the day, and it's just as good, but for those who didn't like their food, maybe going at night is best. I've seen dudes from the bus depot leave with 100 tacos to go. The people's tastebuds don't lie! Do yourself a favor and go. Go go go go. Fuck everything else. And remember to tip! These dudes work hella hard (the truck is available all times of the year, even in cold-ass weather like these past few weeks), and I respect them so much. read more

Now I don't usually eat soft shell tacos but this right here is the truth!!! Driving down 5th Avenue towards Bay Ridge this taco truck is conveniently located on 37th & 5th Avenue in Brooklyn. This is my absolute first time getting tacos from a truck and I am glad I tried it. The ingredients are pure with just your choice of meat, fresh cilantro, cucumber, white onions, whole grilled shallot and lemon wedge. So good and not to be missed location wise. If not already, as soon to be food truck icon. The authentic taste of their burritos justify the lengthy lines found here by hungry patrons. Set up on the sidewalk, equipped with a shelter and heaters to combat the cold, the staff moved quickly and the food (some basic meat tacos) were excellent. One of the best late night food options that Brooklyn has to offer. Be aware that the taco truck gets much busier later in the night when bars and clubs close up. I shared five different tacos with my friends. First off, their sauces are some of the best I've tried. The green salsa is creamy and savory. The red salsa is smokey and spicy. I'd use them on nearly anything. The most interesting taco I tired was the veal head. As a Russian, cow brain pate would occasionally make an appearance with dinner. This allowed me to recognize the flavor and determine which part of the head that the taco meat was made with. The texture was a bit softer than the other meats we tried. All in all, I'd recommend any of the tacos here. They have several options such as veal head, beef stomach, and beef intestine that which I don't typically see offered. Lastly, I'd definitely recommend some of their horchata which is rich, creamy, and delicious! read more

Came here after work for a quick bite with my boyfriend. I ordered 6 different tacos 2 of each. They gave me 11. Even though it's one less, the flavor of each taco makes up for it. It is very well seasoned. Though the flavor is good, all the meats have a similar tough texture. One stand out to me, which is a fatty pulled pork with pineapples. That one was delicious. The fat from the pork makes it more juicy and savory and the pineapples sweetness goes so well with it. I feel like the onions they put on is a bit overwhelming. This place is really affordable and quick. I paid around a little over 20 for 12 tacos. When I arrived they had a large crowd around the truck. They are very organized and quick paced. There is 4 people working in the truck and one outside taking orders. It took less than ten minutes for them to take my order to pay. Although there's no chairs you can lean against the fence to eat. Will come back for a quick snack and definitely will order that fatty pork taco again. read more

This is the best taco spot I've had hands down in nyc so far. It's authentic, it's a great price and it's absolutely delicious. They have so many different tacos that you wouldn't find at other taco spots. The flavor is spot on. The sauce is spot on. Some of my top picks are the chorizo, cabeza, bistek, pollo, pastor and suadero. They also have this amazing beef soup called Birria and great drinks. I wish they would expand and open up in queens so I can get it all the time. There's always a huge crowd waiting for their tacos and it just gives such cultural vibes. I didn't like this place when I had first tried it but I'm so glad I gave it another try. I been here twice in one week already. My favorites are the steak and beef tongue tacos, they're the best! YUM! They're so good and so affordable PLUS they open late. Each taco is topped with raw cilantro and onions then there's pieces of grilled spring onions, radishes, cucumber and lime. Can't forget the delicious green sauce it comes with. ( I can't eat spicy at all but I suck it up for some delicious spicy tacos.) read more

Tacos El Bronco has two trucks. I've been to the other one before (it travels around), but this one is typically located on the corner of 38th and 5th. It's just as good as the other one. I had the lengua tacos. Three small double wrapped soft tacos, with a side of radishes and a grilled green onion. Amazing meal for super cheap. Love this place so much! read more

Hubs and I buy 8-10 to split depending on how starving we are. I guess 8 would always be fine but we can't help overdoing it sometimes. I wish they sold guac but oh well. I'm going to save you all some time by providing their phone number 917.405.5759/917.568.1592, you can call ahead to order and pick up. I would suggest to do this because it gets extremely busy late night. I waited about 20 minutes the other night for my order and it was around 8PM. My go to order here is the Lengua taco and Beef Stew. There is no other place where the Lengua is as tender and delicious as it is here at El Bronco. The beef stew has a sour and tangy flavor, which enhances the beef chunks in the liquid mixed with plenty of cilantro and onion bits. We started with cocktails and they serve chips and salsa gratis. I had the Jalapeno and Hibiscus Margarita and my friend ordered the Pepper Margarita with Strawberry and Chipotle. Mine was a bit on the sweet side without a hint of tequila. My friend's drink definitely was the better of the two. Not overly sweet and definitely a flavor of tequila was present. I did use the bathroom which was a single stall. It was clean enough but not well lit. The biggest downfall of my experience was the temperature of the restaurant. I understand it is summer, however, there was no A/C and the inside was extremely hot. I sweated through my entire experience. Even the bathroom felt like 100 degrees. We did not complain but our waitress noticed and brough a fan out to circulate the air. They do have ceiling fans but honestly I did not feel them. The management/owner should consider more temperature control methods during the hotter months as it was quite uncomfortable. To sum it up, I thought this experience was mostly positive and would patronize it again.

My wife decided on the chicken mole, which was comparable to the last time she had it in Mexico City. Excellent preparation and a very large portion. I chose the shrimp fajitas which were typical in appearance and flavor except for one thing. I'm not sure how they exactly prepared their peppers that accompanied the shrimp fajitas (the waiter mentioned that they cook it alongside the meat which added more flavor), but all I can tell you is that the sweetness of those peppers was so incredibly rich and accented the entire dish so wonderfully. We didn't have room for dessert. But we'll be back.
