If you love tacos - this is a Must visit spot! This place is an absolute gem. It has a fun and welcoming vibe, but the food is outstanding. Fresh ingredients, bold flavors and perfectly made. This is officially my go-to spot - highly recommend!

    Carnitas Quesadilla

I ordered a carnitas quesadilla to go and it was fantastic. Ingredients were fresh and tasty, the quesadilla wasn't greasy at all and traveled great, and they got all my modifications right. Will definitely go back!

I stopped…read moreinto bartaco for a quick lunch, and the chic atmosphere with indoor and outdoor dining, and incredibly upbeat staff seemed to match the excitement permeating throughout the city leading up to a summer weekend. I was eager to try a variety of tacos, though I was warned the tacos are quite small. It was a fair warning. I ordered 5 tacos, and expected to leave stuffed, but I was hungry again by 4:00pm. Eeeek. These are 3-bite tacos. Although small, I enjoyed the flavors of all the tacos I tasted. My favorites were the seafood varieties. 1) Baja fish - really crispy batter, creamy, spicy slaw 2) Yucatán shrimp - great texture, and spicy bean-like plantain puree. The pork belly was sweet, but a bit dry. In addition to the picked red onions, it could have used another saucy component. The carnitas and chorizo tacos were also good, but were less interesting for my palate. My five tacos were $20, without any sides or drinks. They have lots of shareable sides and appetizers, and I could easily drop a lot of $ filling up on their tasty bites while lingering in their lovely space.

The food was very good. Octopus - Octopus is my favorite meal, and this is one of the best examples I've ever had. Steak tips - cooked perfectly medium rare, overall dish great Oysters - shucked clean and fresh Chips and salsa were great, no notes. Lobster empanada - crispy on the outside, soft and creamy inside, very good Fish Tacos - good fish tacos, nothing earth shattering to write home about - paled in comparison to the tapas. Dole Whip - great Churros - very good, they were small donut things not the traditional long churros, the mezcal chocolate was great and the vanilla cream too.

The brussel sprouts were not good as it tasted like someone put an entire lemon on them. It was also outrageous to charge an 18% service charge and a 3% admin fee on food that I picked up from the restaurant. I have no idea why you have to pay over 20% in fees for food that you are taking to go. I would not recommend dining here.

Rating: 3.5 Stars…read more Lifted is on the fifth floor of the OMNI Hotel. My friend and I stopped by around 8 PM on a Wednesday night. We went up to the hostess stand and were seated right away. Our server came by and was very friendly. However, as the night went on the service became quite slow. It took a lot of time for our food to come out and to get our to-go boxes as well. For a drink, I ordered the PINA-NO-LADA. It is basically a virgin pina colada. Very delicious and they added some nice cherries on top. For the food we shared: -CEVICHE: Great flavor and very fresh octopus. Went well with the tortilla chips it came with. -SHRIMP SCAMPI: The pasta was cooked perfectly as were the shrimp that were big and juicy. However, the sauce was overly acidic. There was way too much lemon in it. I do also wish they had more than just 4 shrimp on top of a $30 bowl of pasta. -BRUSSEL SPROUTS: Was good brussel sprouts. All in all, while the food was pretty good (with some hit or miss elements), it is such an expensive meal especially for the portion and service you are getting.

The best bite.was the queso fundido served in a mini cast iron skillet. It.gives the cheese a crispness that we wish more more Mexican restaurants would offer. Service was attentive and accurate. That was fine except the trainer wasn't listening to our conversation nor the trainees. We asked for coffee and they said they don't have coffee yet they serve breakfast and coffee was in their menu. This was the waitress speaking. We ordered guac and chips. Guac was fine just needed salt. Chips were made there and stale. The salsa tasted like store bought salsa and we asked for spicy salsa and they brought Cholula. Boo. They came back a few minutes later snd said e could order spicy mango habanero salsa for an up-charge. We said no. I ordered steak and shrimp fajitas. There were 3 slices of peppers and 5 slices of onions as the vegetables. The steak was not seasoned and the beans tasted like canned beans. My wife ordered carnitas tacos. They were terrible. No flavor, super dry, and the corn tortillas were old and crumbly. Ambiance was TexMex with a bit of southern cali but the food tasted like Jim Bobs TexMex. They were trying to beat Bobby Flay and ended up beating themselves. We did complain about the food quality and NOTHING was done or suggested. We even said give us something else and they just looked at us. We paid and left without finishing our food. They even said this was the new menu. So sad. To bad.

If you're looking for a bright, airy restaurant, this isn't it. If you're looking for a place with personality, you'll probably love it. The stars of the meal were the Guacamole Fresco and the Griddled Cornbread. The guacamole was fresh, flavorful, and impossible to stop eating. The cornbread was even better. Warm, buttery, slightly crisp on the outside, and soft in the middle. It sounds simple, but it was easily the most talked-about dish at our table. We also had the artichoke empanadas, mahi-mahi tacos, rock shrimp tacos, shrimp quesadilla, and mini churros. Everything was good, and the tacos were especially solid. Jaime took great care of us all night and struck that perfect balance of being attentive without hovering. The cocktails were the only thing that didn't completely win me over. The sangria and Paloma were good, but the Abuelita's Espresso Martini is tequila-based rather than a traditional espresso martini. Not bad, just different than expected. Overall, I'd happily go back. Between the unique gothic atmosphere, great service, outstanding guacamole, and that ridiculously good cornbread, Lolita Fort Point is definitely worth a visit.
