Wow!!!! Borrachito doesn't disappoint! This time I ordered the Lemon Pepper Chicken Tinga burrito, and I'm so glad I did! I added cheese cause I think every burrito should have it. The dill sauce was a fun flavor to try and the fajita veggies really hit the spot. I also drizzled jalapeño hot sauce on every bite! My hubby ordered the bang bang shrimp burrito and of course he loved it. His exact words "we should go there more often." We paired our burritos with a Mexican coke! The service was amazing! This was such a chill and beautiful diner to visit during the day for lunch. I'd be curious to check out the separate speakeasy bar, but it doesn't open until the afternoon. OMG, I am so thankful for that place. I came into Boston pretty late and my coworker and I were in dire need of some food. We had walked around after going to Moxie's and finding out that the kitchen was closed. This was a hole in the wall! We went in and the place to order the food looked like such a cute diner. We decided for appetizer, the Korean BBQ taquitos, and for the entrees - their Al Pastor, Yuzu Carne Asada, and Peking pork carnitas tacos. We thought that the taquitos were a bit greasy but the sauce and pickled radishes gave it the kick. Tacos were all good - but I think hunger may had taken a larger part of my judgement haha. I Was a bit skeptical about this place. But I'm glad we decided to come in. The cashier was really nice and immediately made recommendations and told us what his favorites were. We went with the shrimp taco, carnitas taco and birria quesadilla special with consomé. Their jalapeño salsa (which you can serve yourself) was delicious and spicy. We walked up to Borrachito Taqueria and thought we're being punk'd. We had a reservation and when we walked up saw an empty restaurant with a few tables in it. We both were so confused and didn't understand why we needed a reservation until we asked around and found out that it's actually a speakeasy. Once we finally found it, we got some drinks and appetizers. The drinks were AMAZING! I got the Cheeky Cape Day (Little Treat) that has prosecco, peach, elderflower, velvet falernum, and lemon. It was so refreshing. We also split the Esquites which is grilled corn, cotija, chipotle mayo and tajin. For tacos, I got the Bang Bang Crispy Shrimp with tempura, crispy garlic, mint, cilantro, onion, and bang bang sauce. It was so good. Food is so yummy, drinks are absolutely worth the commute, and staff is soooo nice. If it were slightly less expensive, I would definitely become a regular. As for recommendations, all the food dishes are yummy - I've never had anything less than delicious. Drink favorites are the emotional support strawberry and tequila based drinks. Mike is my favorite staff member. He's waited my table and has been my bartender from day 1. I don't think it was intentional but now I expect him! He's very knowledgeable about food and alcohol as well as just a great guy to chat with! A speakeasy in the back of the restaurant, going through a door that looks like a walk in freezer. This place is COOL. Like drinking a cocktail in here makes me feel like I'm living my best life. The clarified margarita (business class margarita) was by far the best cocktail of the group. We were able to easily be sat as a group of 5 in the afternoon on a Saturday.
