Baja fish, chicken verde, sesame ribeye
    Baran K.

I love when I find a good (decent by CA standards) Mexican food spot in Boston! I especially liked the chips and guac because they do taco shells instead of chips and I think it helps so much with portion control because usually you fill up so much on the chips that you're full by the time you're ordering your entree. There was also this incredible black pepper? salsa that I could not get enough of. I also had the sesame ribeye, the baja fish, and the chicken verde tacos and I really liked all, particularly the fish. Quite frankly, if I were to change anything I would just opt for the carne asada instead of the sesame ribeye because it looked more appealing when my roommate ordered it, but I liked this bulgogi-ish take on tacos nonetheless. I do want to shoutout Simon's service at the bar. He was so personable and fun and truly made it a fun dining experience for us. Drinks were also all very good, even tequila soda's that usually leave a lot of room for mistake.

3,5 Stars Bartaco is cute little spot, you fill out your order on a paper sheet that the server picks up. I ordered the falafel taco, cauliflower taco, and esquites. The falafel taco was a O/5 for me. The menu said it would be spice but the spice felt completely random and didn't complement or enhance other flavors. The falafel were also pretty dry. Would not eat this again. The cauliflower taco was much better, 3.5/5. It came with roasted cauliflower and pomegranate seeds. Was solid but not the most exciting. The esquites never came ‍

I wanted to give tacos a chance in Boston so stopped over here to grab a few. Unfortunately, they were a bit underwhelming both in flavor and portion size and the salsa tasted oddly vinegar-y when I was there. In fairness, it's tough to find good tacos on the east coast. However, the drinks are good and the service was friendly and attentive!

Really good tacos. Ordering system was very strange. But moderately effective for a large group. I got a bunch of tacos

Just as yummy as the OG location near my home town! Bartaco is so well priced for the quality of food. It is thoughtful and flavorful and super impressive for a chain Mexican spot. Prices are totally affordable. I personally love the kids plate. I'm simple and it's a ton of food for under $10. We got that and a few other tacos, bowls and apps to share. The corn wheels are literally straight out of heaven. Drinks are yummy. I had the punch and it was only $10 and was not disappointing at all. I run a beverage Instagram and that drink was high quality! We did have a few issues. Our original waitress wasn't super helpful and was kind of a wet noodle. They also said they had $8 margaritas on rainy days, and we were told only at the bar. It didn't say that at all in the promo online. The ambiance is so nice here. It looks so high end and is very seaport! Overall another great experience. I'll def be back now that the commuter line brings you right to the seaport area!

The food was so good I forgot to take photos! Favorite here is the Baja fish taco- deep fried and crispy, served with some slaw in a soft corn tortilla shell. Servers magically appear when the "need help" card is placed on the table, and multiple different people show up to assist too. Great casual dining in the seaport area and prices are fairly reasonable.

What went well, you ask? Everything. From the welcoming brick and wooden interior to the host showing us first-timers how this place operates, nothing but seamlessness. Some adjectives: quick, easy, and effective. The fresh fruit juice and an authentic platter of Carne Asada Tacos made our trip worthwhile.

I popped in here tonight before dinner in the area. I sat down and was warmly greeted by bartender Tim. He suggested the bartaco margarita and it did NOT disappoint! And got chip and roja salsa also very flavorful! I could have ordered like 4 more plates of that! I will have to come back here for a girls night out or date night with the husband. The ambience is very cozy and welcoming!

Wow! Tacos were so good & loved the twist on each one I got. I loved how easy it was to order in the app and they were made to order as you put it in the app. Get the glazed pork belly, actually get two....err or three because these were so good. And a roasted duck. Hehe. I wasn't a huge fan of the Baja but I don't like aioli and I know I know, that's a big part of it, but I was hoping the fried fish would have more flavor. The crispy oyster had a bit of a briney taste--would pass on this next time. If I lived here, I'd be a regular, and if I had a bigger appetite, I would have gotten a few more flavors and maybe another pork belly! ;)

Went here for a quick lunch between trains at south station. Was super easy to get to and find. The service was incredible and our server was attentive and answered all of our questions. We got the chips and salsa to starts and it was so fresh. My husband got the carne asada tacos and then we also got pork and I can't remember the third one but all of them were so fresh and yummy. It was right before peak lunch time so the restaurant was quiet. The decorations and ambiance is amazing! Such a great spot for some yummy tacos

    Churros. Just ok

Came into Bartaco Seaport for a late dinner. The manager Hollywood was super welcoming and friendly. I decided to sit at the bar. Both the bartenders were very attentive, funny, and made amazing drinks. I ordered the ahi tuna crispy rice bowl. It was delicious. The sauce was sweet and tied in with all the flavors, the crispy rice had great texture and there was a few pieces of ahi. The spicy margarita was made with squeezed juice. It was perfectly refreshing and spicy. The churros was kinda of dense and doughy. I prefer my churros fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. It comes with dipping sauces. The decor is beautiful inside. Parking is difficulties the area. Stays open late. Overall, great atmosphere, great food, exceptional customer service.

The tacos were excellent and the staff was friendly. Good came quick and well priced. Churros stole the show!!

I had been craving fish tacos for a really long time, and I was delighted to find a whole section of the menu dedicated to them. We started off with margaritas - one of the best companions to fish tacos - and I ordered mine spicy with jalapeño. For food, we shared the lobster empanadas and chorizo and potato taquitos. I ordered the tempura fish tacos for myself. Our margaritas were brought out shortly - mine was refreshing but lacked the kick from the jalapeño that I was hoping for (there was only one thin slice of pepper). Our food was brought out shortly, and I found it a bit overwhelming when our appetizers and tacos came out together. I started with my tacos, and these were excellent. The fish was flaky and fried to perfection, and I loved the rainbow of sauces and toppings. Plus, the tortillas were nice and sturdy and didn't tear. The lobster empanadas were super decadent, and I appreciated the substantial amount of lobster stuffed inside. I was too full to eat much of the taquitos but took a few bites. These also had good flavor but weren't standouts. Next time, I'd just get the tacos and maybe a light app. Towards the end of our visit, the restaurant seemed to clear out, and we had a difficult time trying to locate our server for the bill. Overall, we had a nice meal and satisfied the fish taco craving.

The Seaport space is just as stunning--decked out in pink, super aesthetic, and definitely a fun, photo-worthy vibe. Unfortunately, the experience didn't quite live up to expectations. For drinks, I ordered a pitcher margarita with jalapeño, and it was disappointing. It didn't taste fresh and came across more like artificial jalapeño flavoring rather than real infusion--and it wasn't spicy at all. For food, we ordered a variety of small plates to share. Everything was decent, but nothing really stood out. It felt a bit underwhelming compared to the atmosphere. The biggest issue was the service. It was very slow throughout the night, and getting the check was especially frustrating--it took about 30 minutes, and we had to ask multiple times before finally receiving it. Overall, the ambiance is beautiful and perfect for a celebration, but the drinks and service didn't match the vibe. Hoping this was just an off night.

The salsa tasted like store bought salsa and we asked for spicy salsa and they brought Cholula. Boo. They came back a few minutes later snd said e could order spicy mango habanero salsa for an up-charge. We said no. I ordered steak and shrimp fajitas. There were 3 slices of peppers and 5 slices of onions as the vegetables. The steak was not seasoned and the beans tasted like canned beans. My wife ordered carnitas tacos. They were terrible. No flavor, super dry, and the corn tortillas were old and crumbly. Ambiance was TexMex with a bit of southern cali but the food tasted like Jim Bobs TexMex. They were trying to beat Bobby Flay and ended up beating themselves. We did complain about the food quality and NOTHING was done or suggested. We even said give us something else and they just looked at us. We paid and left without finishing our food. They even said this was the new menu. So sad. To bad.

The restaurant was empty so service was fast (maybe a little too fast) and friendly. I ordered takeout. I wanted to try a little bit of everything so I ordered 3 chicken tacos and one rajas taco. Plus chips and salsa and an order of rice and beans. They packaged everything up nicely - even with staples. When I got home, I was disappointed because they left out a chicken taco. I called to tell them but I was on hold forever and nobody picked up. The flavors of the food are good! The chicken tacos were better than the poblano one. At $6.50 for a specialty taco, it's kinda steep in my opinion. The chips tasted fresh and the salsas were flavorful. The full order was nearly $40 so around $20 per person. They have a lot of competition in the area with Bartaco being a five min walk away and lots more offerings, plus it might even be cheaper.
