This Sunday I went to Bakersfield CA and we can to this Taqueria place that it wasn't so bad. I ordered a taco a pastor a mano. The tortilla was made by hand and I told them to do the meat crispy and it was delicious. Ordered a chicken tamale. It was not bad, could of been better? Yes. A little more seasoning. Didn't taste the salsa and it was a little bland. The aguas frescas which is tamarindo it was delicious. The people there were very kind and always cleaning. The Taqueria it was ok. Stopped in with the family for our regular visit to our favorite Mexican food spot. Over the years I've tried several different things on the menu, all of which I've always enjoyed. Most times we visit I either get the menudo or birria, and a couple tacos de tripas on the side. I've tried menudo at other spots and I can tell you that nobody does it better than El Dorado, it's the best. The birria is also super good with amazing flavor and generous meat. The homemade tortillas are always a treat, love the tripas! They have a huge menu so they're sure to offer something for everyone's palette. Would definitely eat here again. Friendly staff were fast and helpful. They have a soda fountain behind the counter as well as Mexican sodas and beers in a fridge. The daily specials were good deals. The tables, counter, and floor were clean. The cabeza tacos were delicious. I opted for the salsa on the side -It's got a kick but not too hot. I loved the pickled carrots (not spicy). We'll, it's official. I've found the greatest carne asada tacos in Bakersfield. These tacos were full of flavor and they did NOT skim on the meat like other places. We came in on a Sunday morning, very quiet, many people coming in and out for pick up maybe because of the pandemic. The service was friendly and very inviting, we ordered menudo, Camarones a la diabla, and a basic pancake breakfast with eggs and bacon. I had the shrimp and it might be the best camarones a la diabla I have had anywhere! The spice was enough to get a kick and enjoy the flavor. So much flavor in the sauce, the rice and beans were very good as well. I think this is my new favorite for a carna asada burrito. Their salsa bar has a delicious variety of salsas. The hubby enjoyed mild, I went for the spicy. The food is very good , the workers are friendly. I had tacos dorados with beef last night. (Sorry, no pic! ). They were super delicious! The tortilla was on thinner side so the the taco was crisp...instead of a more dense crunch. I like to get asada tacos everythibg on it and tripa tacos extra crisp everything on it, but fair warning that the salsa they put on it can be a tad bit spicy so if you can't handle to spicy i would ask them to put no salsa on for you.... This is a first visit for us and was a matter of we were hungry and didn't feel like cooking and this place was very close to home. This place had chile rellenos which my husband loves, and taquitos which I love. We ordered both. The rice was fluffy. The beans were great. I will say the salad was fresh but only so so. We both had a beer. My taquitos had lots of beef and my husband really liked his chile rellenos. He actually got two for less than we paid at our usual place for only one. We've been here a few times, my husband likes the menudo, I have had chilies relleno. It was alright. My husband and I went on Memorial Day and he didn't know that the salt shaker (Tapitio bottles) had holes in the cap, so he took it off and ended up with a lot of salt in his Caldo de Res. We asked if they would just switch out the soup part not any of the meat or veggies, they gave us a FLAT NO! Unfortunately they have lost a 2 customers.
