Worked an event at Chase and had a lot of time to sit and eat, so I went down to Spark Social SF and found Mora Taco truck. The food seemed very promising from the reviews and pictures. I ordered an asada super burrito, 1 fish taco and two bottles of water which came out to $26. I know SF prices are more, but wish the food quality matched the price. Burrito looked like a regular and not a super. Was very small and it was ok. The fish taco was really good, but the tortilla was too crispy and was overcooked, so it was hard versus crispy. Best Taco Truck in SF, and probably then some. My daughter thinks that they have the best loaded/messy fries anywhere....I think agree haha. The burritos and tacos are better than vast majority of storefronts in SF and we have great burritos, prob best in the world here. Mora Taco Truck is located at Spark Park Social in San Francisco. There is metered parking in the street. There are plenty of tables at spark social. Great to enjoy food here on a clear sunny day. We enjoyed the vegetarian burrito and the vegetarian enchiladas from Mora. The burrito comes with a side of tortilla chips and salsa. Food was not great. We ordered taquitos as the picture looked good on the side of the truck. We were give rotisserie chicken crunched up taquitos with spring mix and Monterey cheese on the top- no sour cream. These were not taquitos, had no flavor and were bland. Ordered the carnitas taco & carne asada fries by the beach as we finished up some beach volleyball. The service was fast and efficient which I liked. I first tried the taco and it was super good, very hot (temp) which I liked and had everything I liked. The fries wasn't fresh tho and just tasted warmed up in the microwave or something. I vomited 12 times and couldn't eat for two days after eating the most disgusting greasy carne asada burrito from this place. My colleague also felt sick after eating a burrito from Mora as well. This truck is decent, but the meats just aren't as tasty as those from Tacos San Buena. Carnitas: Full of rich slowed cooked pork goodness. However, lacking the signature deep fried finish that is rightly popular at many taquerias. Carne Asada: Diced a little too small and not heavily seared. Tasty, but the texture was off. I ordered the Carne Asada Torta with everything and my only complain is it did not have Carne asada it had beef but it was boiled or steamed and had alot of skin which I hate. One of my coworkers went here yesterday and had a burrito the size of a small child. It smelled and looked really good and this just happens to be right around the corner from my office. I'm generally not one to stop at taco trucks, especially ones in a gas station parking lot but a group of other coworkers were going today so I went with them. I went with the al pastor salad and it was delicious. First and foremost, I felt like I got really good value for my money. A pretty large salad for just $9 is practically unheard of in SF. The al pastor was really yummy with nice chunks of pineapple and onion. I found out from my coworker yesterday that the secret is the red salsa.
