I woke up this morning, wrote a couple yelp reviews, played some mini golf, then when I returned to my car (which I live in, I got it set up with some electricity and television. I am divorced), I was starving. I drove around San Francisco for awhile but every time I passed a restaurant I break down crying because it reminds me of my first date with my now ex wife. However, when I arrived at Aunty Vickys my entire mood changed. I was practically jumping for joy whilst waiting for my food. When I finally got my pulled pork combo I ate it an said verbally "Oh my golly this is good" before spinning on my head, just kidding I did not spin on my head, I dont know how haha! Trust me though, if I did I would have my man. But oh man the pork like oh my just oh yeah it was oh yeah so good man it was just so good. Im sorry I just loved it so much. Some people call me too positive but Vicky was even more positive. She told me not to think about my ex wife anymore because I have the future ahead of me, then I told her about my finances, and after assuring her I could still pay she walked away. The man in front of me ordered the shrimp and chicken combo, and when he put it on the table for a moment before walking away a piece of chicken fell off. I picked it up and ate it and wow, just wow, so good. I literally called my Mexican friend Angel and told him about this, it was diabolical. It's hard to go wrong with Hawaiian food. I opted for what I thought would be a healthier option, which was the tofu and veggie dish. However, the tofu was cut up in large squares and deep fried, which was not in the description, and the sauce was overly sweet. The combination of deep fried and sweet sauce was overpowering, especially when, hoping for a healthier option. Alternatively, the Mac salad was lacking in flavor. Overall, I was disappointed with the food. On the upside, the service was very friendly and the price was decent for what you get. Unfortunately, I don't plan on returning. read more

I am eating it as I type this review! We got to try the food to see if they could be a potential vendor for our company. I wasn't expecting too much since the last time a food truck came, it wasn't that great. So I got the shrimp and chicken combo...and it's really YUMMY!!!! The shrimp is more like a prawn size and tasty and juicy. The fried chicken tastes almost like SAN TUNG!!! I'm impressed! The rice was a little smushy, the coleslaw isn't bad, macaroni salad a little bland but not bad also. Helps balance the fried foods. Hopefully they'll be a vendor, I'd definitely recommend them to others! read more

I had the occasion to host an event for 50 people at a venue, both students and professionals alike. I needed to find something unique and tasty that would meet the needs for a large group that is full of foodies and somewhat sensitive palates. I was looking for maximum value, but I was also willing to pay a little more for quality food/service. Working with Vicky, yes there is a Vicky in this operation, it was very easy from idea generation to day of event. With a few questions and conversations, we were able to pick out a menu (adobo ribs, pupu wings, rice, cole slaw, mac salad, cupcakes, and assorted beverages). The food was prepared on site and soon the aroma was filling the venue...it reminded me of an old-fashioned home party! It was amazing. When it came time to eat, everyone was SO pleased and they were so ready to go back for seconds. After the lunch and even on the ride back to the office, all everyone could talk about was...the wings, the wings, and the wings. It's clear that Vicky really does care about you and your event, so you will feel like you have a family member there to assist you through the entire event. It's nice to not feel stressed on a day when so much rides on how your participants/clients feel, and when their bellies are full and smiles are on their faces you know you have done a good job. I came to Aunty vickys on opening day. I was invited by my girlfriend and her parents who's family friends invited us. There was a lot of people and a long wait and it was WELL worth it!!! I Had "just da chicken & all da fixins" it was lightly battered fried chicken wings tossed in a Hawaiian teriyaki glaze on a soft bed of rice with Mac salad. I usually dislike when my wings are battered but Aunt Vicky knocked these wings out of the park!! Very very yummy! Perfectly crispy and not to heavy. They were tossed in a sweet and savory sauce. It tasted like honey and maybe some soy sauce..Like a lighter version of teriyaki? Anyways it was perfect and wasn't drowning in sauce or too dry. The Mac salad that came with it was also perfect. Not to light and not too heavy. Inside the salad was a little bit of green onion and small chunks of pineapple. I'm always looking to try new and good Hawaiin and need a change from L&L or those other spots and this place definitely did the job. Standard food truck prices but that's expected. Even though I was in SF eating at a food truck, when I bit in to that chicken I felt like I was at a little Hawaiin lady's backyard family party! Good home cookin island style! Get the Chicken Shrimp Combo. Do it. It's the real thing. Let me first start by saying that I don't know what, "The Real Thing", is but in my mind this is it. The people here are super-nice! I'm doing the low-carb diet and they were excellent at telling me what has sugar (everything), and making sure I could minimize my carb intake by selling me just a side of delicious, juicy, lightly covered fried prawns. I can definitely recommend them! read more

Aunty Vicky poo poo combo plate is off the chain..it come off hot from the fryer to you hot..the sauce is to die for..it is not just shrimp..they are big prawns and every bite I take is juicy and delicious..her pull pork is so tender with just the right amount of her bbq sauce that I have ever tasted...i have never found a great food truck like her..i am always looking for her truck so I can get the delicious combo plate...you must try her food because I can see and taste her home cooking..you have to try it yourself to believe it is great Hawaiian fusion food..Mahalo.. read more

I have tried all of Aunty Vicky's menu...her Pu Pu Chicken is awsome, it is not greasy... lightly floured with a great sauce that is dipped in...same with the shrimp well i would not call it shrimp more like prawns..Aunty Vicky takes pride in her food and you certainly can taste it...almost forgot abot her pulled pork with her homemade BBQ sauce..tender and juicy with great flavors!! read more

Sometimes all you want is some home cooking I love everything on the menu. It's cooked to a crispy perfection. I've used Auntie Vicky for catering and it was a hit! I experienced Auntie Vicky's by chance. Her truck was parked on my street for an event and I was heading out to Vegas for my bday. Her food was delicious and her hospitality unmatched. The pupu combo which is shrimp and chicken with rice. The shrimp were tender but had a crispy coating. The chicken was seasoned perfectly and juicy. Double rice for me..(fat girl issues) I would definitely eat there again and recommend you try it too. Love is the secret ingredient! read more
