Found this place randomly. Ordered súper nachos with asada and the only issue were the chips. Asada wasn't too salty and went well with all the other flavors. Not everyone uses nacho cheese so I was happy they gave me options. Also ordered a Burrito with pastor and also very good and not overly salty. To drink we ordered Jamaica and loved it! I usually love this place and have recommended all my friends to go here but today I was so disappointed. I ordered tacos with customization and extras that I PAID for, and ordered in person. They still got my order wrong. If this was the first time I wouldn't leave a review. But their food is too expensive to not get right and have to go buy the extras that i already paid for. In Hayward near where my brother lives. They have a red building that stands out in a good way while driving on Mission, I saw the good reviews and when in the mood for Mexican we decided to come. It's beloved on Yelp as a great place to eat in Hayward! Chicken Quesadilla: Kids loved this, tortilla was well cooked on both sides and the inside was a good amount of chicken and not just a ton of cheese. Super Tacos Asada: Carne Asada, guacamole, sour cream, cheese, and salsa, wrapped in a corn tortilla, garnished with onions and cilantro. Wanted to really treat ourselves and this is a decadent treat that will drip all over your hands and make you want to take a nap. Tacos: Had the asada and al pastor and the unique thing is it comes with pico de gallo on top. Tasted good but I like it with just onion and cilantro to make the meat shine. read more

If you've read my reviews before, you know that if I like something, I'll go back again and again. This time, the food was so good my husband went back the very next day--mind you, he doesn't even like Mexican food like that. I've had Lalo's Taqueria bookmarked on Yelp for months! I live in Union City, so I don't always want to make the drive down Mission to Hayward. My husband was on his way home with his food, so I figured it was the perfect time to try them out. I ordered a super taco de carnitas--definitely a 9/10. It had a little too much avocado and sour cream, but it was GOOD. The carnitas were juicy, and all the flavors mixed really well. I also got a carne asada plate, 9/10 as well. The carne was seasoned sooooo well, but a little dry in some parts. The rice and beans were really good, and I love that it came with lots of salsa and a side of tortillas. My husband tried all my food, so he went back the next day and ordered: Super tacos de carnitas, but for some reason he got a quesadilla de carnitas. It was pretty good, so we didn't get upset, but I think there was a miscommunication when I ordered on the phone. It was the same price as a taco, so I didn't even care to check. He also ordered the super fries with carnitas, 7/10. They were drenched in the sour cream and avocado cream, which made them soggy. We still loved the flavors though, so 7/10 feels fair. Discover Lalos Taqueria just recently. Wanted to try something else other than La Victoria Taqueria. So far so good. On the pricey side $15+. We only tried the Super Burrito and regular Burritos. Lalos also so has an Orange sauce called Lalos Sauce. Its like LaVics orange sauce but not as good. I wouldn't say is bad. Is still good but we prefer LaVics orange sauce. My son wanted to try the New Flaming Hot Cheetos Burrito. I gave it 3/5 I thought it would be spicy but it was not. I didn't like that it had fries inside. I think that's what made it heavy. 2.5 pounds. It had good flavor. All the meats had good flavor. I tried the AL Pastor Burrito. The cashier asked me if I wanted pineapple in it. It also my first time hearing pineapple in an Al Pastor Burrito. Maybe it's their on special thing that they put in their AL Pastor. read more

Went here for dinner with a group, its like a small restaurant meant more for pickup orders but they did have 5-6 tables there. Cashier was really nice, and I decided to get the super burrito with chicken. Burrito tasted really good, and so did their classic orange sauce but I personally really loved the other mango sauce as it was like mango-y and spicy! We were able to find parking easily on the street. We both opted for 3 tacos each and these are hefty tacos, people! I mean, I was shooked. The person who took our order was very friendly and personable. He gave us chips and all 3 salsas to eat with it and the Lalo's sauce was my favorite. This place has been on my list since I moved to town last year, and I finally decided to give it try. So glad I did! Went on a Saturday afternoon and no one was there. One couple came in after us, but that was about it. I feel like this place is more of a delivery/pickup spot, but they do have plenty of seating inside if you choose to eat there. Inside is clean and well maintained. It's a taqueria what do you expect? Ordered the carne asada plate, carne asada regular taco and an horchata. All I could say was YUM. the carne asada plate was soooo good. The meat was tender, the beans and rice seasoned perfectly and the avocado was fresh. The caramelized onion and jalapeños were a nice touch too. I licked my plate clean. The carne asada taco was also bomb. They stuffed it full of carne and beans every bite had something. The guy was so nice he gave us extra salsas and sour cream for free. It's the little things. The horchata was hands down my favorite. I'm picky with my horchata and this was exactly how I like it. Sweet not watered down just delightful. Might be my new go to taqueria. I'll be back to try their burritos and other menu items soon! read more

I was passing through Hayward and decided to look for some mexican food and came across Lalo's. Reviews were good so I decided to try it. I tried an al pastor regular burrito without pineapple (you can get it with pineapple which is probably better) or without. Burrito was good, although I didn't think the al pastor was great, not a typical crispy trompo style which I prefer but the sauces took the burrito up a few notches. The orange spicy crema or whatever the sauce is, is amazing, and I think you can buy it to take home which I will probably do next time I am there. Sauce so good it could make almost anything taste good. I also got a birria taco and it was solid. Staff was friendly, service was quick and parking seems easy in the area. I found this place through a recommendation on Reddit. It's pretty new, but definitely worth a try. The restaurant is on a corner lot with limited parking. Indoor seating is also limited--not ideal for large groups, but there's enough space for a few families of four or couples. Their menu offers a bit of everything, and the prices are cheaper than many other Mexican restaurants or food trucks. The guy who took our order was friendly and genuinely grateful for our business. It gave the place a welcoming, small local business vibe. I ordered one birria taco and a super burrito. Honey ordered a regular burrito. The birria taco was good--I wish it had a bit more cheese, but overall it was solid. The steak burrito was also great. It had a lot of flavor, the meat was well-seasoned and tender, and the price was under $20. You won't find a super burrito this good for less. I reheated the other half the next day, and it was just as good. Honey felt the same about her regular burrito. Overall, we'll be coming back to this place. read more

It was enough to feed 2 people. The meat was really tender. They also have 3 different sauces to spice things up. We liked the darker orange the best (even better than the chain mentioned above). Our third visit to this restaurant. We had the beast with us once again, so I stayed out in the van while she went in and placed our order. She came back out after about 15 minutes, bag in one hand and drink tray in the other. After she got situated, I drove down the street to a local park that has several tables and chairs. With our dog in tow, we settled down to enjoy some great food from Lalo's. I removed my Chile Relleno Super Burrito from the bag first. It was slightly larger than a 12-ounce can of soda and about 1-1/2 cans tall in height. It was tightly wrapped and quite heavy. Which led me to worry a bit. The clamshell that remained in the bag was appropriately sized for maybe a Hot Dog but my wife had planned on ordering Super Nachos with Lengua. I opened the clamshell to find a Super Taco with Lengua. Much smaller amount of food than Super Nachos and priced differently as well. I asked to see the receipt to see what we were charged for but she hadn't received one. Usually, we'd have a credit card receipt but because Lalo's offers a discount for cash, we paid cash. I didn't know it while we were sitting at the table, but we had a menu in the van. I called the restaurant and ended up speaking to Lalo himself. He's a really friendly guy and we love the way he treats his customers and operates his restaurant. I wanted to know what we had paid for. I also wanted to make sure that if our items had been switched, that another customer might also be calling in to complain. Lalo said that on his computer, it showed that we ordered a Super Taco with Lengua and the other items that we got. So moneywise, we were all okay. Food wise, we didn't have as much as we had wanted but we'll get over that. She ate the Taco and enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed my Burrito. We both got Agua Frescas. She had Pineapple while I had Horchata. The sauces that came with our order were delicious as well. We'll be back! read more

(Good thing, bad thing...‍) We chose a variety of different options, burritos, birria tacos, carne asada tacos and chicken tacos. We went with the jarritos and can sodas and bottled waters to drink. The service was fast, and the food was decent. The salsa comes out in ketchup type of containers. I had the chili relleno burrito and I really enjoyed it. The lengua tacos were crispy and so good with the salsas on top! They were my favorite. The quesabirria tacos were also a good melting pot of flavors too! The torta was also pretty standard. If we needed anything Lalo came to us with service, truly a nice and welcoming place where love is poured into food. The mango pineapple agua fresca was the only thing that I didn't love because it was a bit too sweet for me. We ordered 2 carne asada super burritos and a mulita. The carne asada was the worst I've ever had. Both my BIL and I kept spitting out hard gristle after every bite. I have been meaning to go to this restaurant, since I first saw their logo, for a while now, so I took the opportunity to go, after I was having my tires replaced across the street, on Thursday, and looked out and saw it. I was greeted with a smile, and the service was swift (4 minutes!). The super burrito with beef, no sour cream, I ordered to go was fantastic! It was juicy and moist. I also loved the fact that the meat was actually seasoned well, too. Overall, I would definitely recommend them to others. In fact, I told one of my friends about them, just yesterday. Yumm!! Ordered a carne asada burrito and it was amazing! The meat was well seasoned and delicious.. and the tortilla was super good! Like whaat?! There are 3 salsas. The green sauce is mild with a refreshing taste. The dark red is spicy with that chipotle flavor and the orange I believe is their sauce which i would rate as a medium spice and tasty.
