My favorite tortas! I love their Milanesa tortas, to me the best place to eat Mexican in Moses Lake.

An easy stop off I-90. Outstanding food, friendly service, and easy parking. We tried three kinds of tacos--barbacoa, al pastor, and carnitas. Hard to say which was better. Holy moly what can I say about this place? I literally never eat Mexican food due to acid reflux from spicy foods (even a TINY bit spicy) and I really don't like any type of beans so what's left? So far I've had the Tacos Al Pastor and the "To-Go Special" 9 tacos de carnitas, pollo, o adobada & 2 sodas por $9.99 both were an AWESOME deal and so delicious I've wanted to eat there every night of the week. Ok not only are the prices super fantastic, but the restaurant itself is super clean, and the staff are friendly and professional. With prices like these I wouldn't mind eating there regularly! My boyfriend got a burrito and it was absolutely huge and only like $7 we will definitely be back I can't wait to try more of their food!!! read more

We were driving through Moses Lake and stopped here based on recommendations from Yelp. The food was good, authentic Mexican food. The place is small but there is both indoor and outdoor seating available. Service is friendly and the price is good. They also have a nice selection at the salsa bar. read more

Stopped in while driving back to Seattle. Food was pretty good, service was slow, but they had a baby changing table! Overall, okay food but nothing to write home about. I ordered a beef burrito with verde sauce on the side so that my toddler could eat part of mine. My order was not correct and the waitress seemed put out that I asked again for it to be put on the side so my son could share with me. This is one of the worse experience ever, first at all when you go in they not even bother to ask how are you or any good welcome anyways after we sit they even have bring the menus when they ask if we knew what we was to order then after us placing the order my friend ask for a glass of water the water never came right away. I ask for the carne azada the beef had like a funny taste and it was so hard to chew that and according to the server it was the most soft beef, my friend ask for a extra tortillas and well again we have to wait forever to get them and also they even bother to check on us to see how we was doing, I do regret eating there so. I love eating here because there food is authentic. Their horchata is so good. I hate when I go into a Mexican restaurant and the waitress doesn't even know what it is. (Happens a lot in bigger cities). I always get their beef and chicken tacos. They are small, that's why you 4, but they're 1.50 each so worth it. Oh and we love that they have dishes you normally wouldn't find at other restaurants. Oh and fish tacos suck anyways so not a big deal to me. However they do serve other authentic fish dishes that friends of mine who eat fish really like. But be careful, they're authentic and look it. read more

We chose Tacos El Rey as our caterer for a wedding reception. They had everything fixed to our liking, were transparent with costs, threw extra utensils, plates, and napkins in with our order, and had everything ready for us upon arrival! They are top-notch at service and made the pick-up seamless. I really enjoyed doing business together and appreciate this being one of the easiest parts of the reception day implementation! The food did not feel fresh. The tamarind drink was decent. The free chips were stale. The salsa lacked in flavor. We had tacos rancheros and enchiladas for main course. The chicken was stale and flavor wasn't great either. We had flan for dessert and that was pretty standard. overall not a place I'd want to come back to. read more

Honestly the other reviews have got to be written by owners and employees. That was the most blan and disgusting food we have ever eaten, all four of our meals were nasty and the place is dirty. Don't dare go in the bathrooms. Sign says employees must wash hands but there is no soap in dispenser. I feel sick this place should be shut down. Do not waste your money or health eating here. Stopped for lunch and just wanted something small- headed to the water park (which was a great deal and fun for all, also) so I got the chicken tostada for 3 bucks- tons of chicken! Hubby got a rojo burrito, I think and it was huge and reminded me of awesome food I got in TX. I swear everything was made fresh- including the tortillas- and salsa. Oh, tried their dollar tacos, too-- fabulous! Kids had pork, beef and chicken- all were wonderful. 3.5-stars. What a great menu! We've traveled extensively throughout Mexico. We had not found an authentico Mexican Restaurante anywhere yet in Moses Lake, despite an abundance of fresh, hispanic ingredients and a generous hispanic population, which surprised us. Anyway, after 5-years in Moses Lake, we decided to try out Tacos el Ray, 'The Restaurant'. We have enjoyed the fare served from their taco trucks a couple of times...very good tostadas y burritos, which made the last thing I expected from the restaurante authentico Mexicana. I ordered Machaca and it was every bit as good as the last time I had it in Baja. I don't do rice or tortillas, but the beans were terrific with a whole bean here, or there. My husband had Tacos Ranchero and was thoroughly pleased with his meal . There are many other dishes on the menu that I look forward to trying. We'll be back. Sweet service, clean as a hospital and a cheerful atmosphere. Don't hesitate. read more

Every year we eat here when visiting Moses Lake and have been satisfied with their Mexican food. Overall, the food is pretty good and in large portions. The tacos are flavorful but the taco was a bit on the dry side. The shredded pork was a bit tough to bite into since some parts were dried out. The green sauce and their salsa were delicious. UNTIL...one of the salsa bowls had silver/gold colored beer bottle cap inside it!! I was appalled because now, I'm wondering if they're reusing their salsas after other previous customers left some of theirs behind. My husband quickly called the waitress and she just took the salsa and said she'll bring another one. When the waitress came back with a new salsa bowl, she just said sorry and moved on as if nothing happened. It was very weird and for the rest of my dining experience, I couldn't help shake off this bad experience. I also wondered why they were being really stingy with their complementary chips for 6 people. Whenever that many people are at the table, other restaurants bring 2 chip bowls but they kept bringing one and they kept taking the salsa bowl back, even though it was pretty full.
