Oooooh I'm SO happy we came across this taco truck after a serious craving for tacos (who am I kidding? I always want tacos...) hit hard on a Sunday. Sadly, my favorites are closed on Sundays and we were bummed out. After deciding bueno would have to do the trick, I remembered my parents saying something about this truck on Alameda and we drove over and YES it's open! And until 10pm!! The truck is in the Popeye's parking lot. The open sign was visibly from the street which was awesome. The menu is straightforward and no frills. Wanting to try some of each we got a couple of carne asada, carnitas, and al pastor tacos. We also got a carne asada torta. The torta was the best torta I've had in awhile, the bread was PERFECT and a lot of places don't do it right but it was the best grilled soft sandwich ever. It needed avocado IMO but so does everything The tacos were all great, I think my favorite was the asada. I was bummed out after realizing they had barbacoa (cabeza) but I didn't notice it on the list. The pickled onions and carrots were good and the grilled jalapeños (maybe serranos) were HOT and delicious! Another plus was they were cheaper than my favorite place down the street, only 1.25 per taco. I'm glad to know there's a good option on Sunday's so I can get my taco fix!!

A taco truck with the best carne asada street tacos in town! Can't beat $1.25 each! They also let you call in order ahead and pickup. Quick and easy lunch or dinner on the go!

I noticed this taco truck parked at the Popeyes convenient store and had to stop and try because I have a weakness for taco trucks. They have a colorful picture menu to choose from. Tacos are $1.25 each which I think thats a great price for street tacos. Thats .50 cheaper than La Sombra taco truck. I got the taco plate which comes with 3 tacos of your choice and rice and beans. I got 2 asada and 1 cabeza, which is barbacoa. The tacos were a little smaller but double tortilla. They could have put a little more onions and cilantro but they were still tasty. They included some pickled carrot, grilled onions and jalapenos and a lime wedge. The rice was ok, the beans were excellent. I think for $5 that was a great deal and will definitely be back to try the other options. The lady in the truck did tell me that they will be parked there a while and they are open everyday until 10pm.

Great prices, food was amazing, super friendly staff. Chuckled when I told them my Spanish wasn't too great, but they appreciated me trying!

Used to be great, but todays order was terrible. The torta had a sprinkle of lettuce and almost no meat. Will not be back.

So so yummy. Everything we've had is great. The beans, rice, and green salsa are from heaven or something. Cheap and delicious.

Today I ordered the number 1 4pc Express Tenders for $7.39, which comes with fries, biscuit, and gravy. Let's talk about them tenders! Tenders: Moistness - 10 Seasoning - 9 Crunch - 11* Overall - 10 The crunch was out of this world! Two tenders were slightly under seasoned but the other two were perfect, so I had to dock a point for that but based on the two that were seasoned - they were seasoned perfectly and the gravy only enhanced the flavors. The tips of the tenders had a nice light crispy golden coating that has put everyone to shame. They were hot and juicy and delicious. I'm in tender heaven! The crunch was on a different level. They broke my scale and I'm totally okay with that. The fries were light and crispy and tasted like mashed potatoes when you dipped them in gravy. It was so awesome. Perfectly seasoned. The biscuit was a bonus (you basically get an order of biscuits and gravy with your chicken) and it was dang good. Light, buttery, fluffy, crispy crusty, and not dry at all. The gravy was great! Not floury, not uncooked milky but seasoned well balanced between pepper and salt and perfect for the tenders This place should be packed if they can keep it consistently good like this and I hope they do because I will be back!

It's lacking the necessary fresh toppings and meats that give a proper sandwich flavor. Very disappointing. The place itself is void of atmosphere, boring, with nothing to draw you in. Their staff add nothing to the experience. Just blahh. Like fast food minus the customers and workers. The only draw? Booze...Oh, and their wings. They were cooked right -- crispy outside, tender inside -- and tasty tossed in that Golden BBQ sauce. Plus they are 50% off on Sundays. And yet the wings feel like an afterthought here, like they just needed one more thing to keep the fryers going. I just don't get this concept. So new and yet it's already a ghost town in here. And the few diners that do come in hover over their food with their head down, like they're ashamed to even be seen here. It's just not a social place, not bright or inviting..not fast..not friendly..And definitely not healthy. Me thinks Mark Cuban may be kissing off some investment money on this one.
