Recommend: Maybe. Lately I've been craving tacos and yes, I've eaten tacos before but I continue to be on the hunt for some tacos worth coming back to. In case you are craving tacos, Tacos El Takin will satisfy your craving but I do not consider them as ones that will draw you back in. Especially since there are 2 other taco places, I noticed, within the same block. Food: i went with family and we ordered Asada mini tacos and Campechano (mixture of 3 meats) mini tacos. The tacos came out freshly made and hot with onions, cilantro, and a creamy green sauce (maybe their version of guacamole, not spicy). Other salsas were available at the entrance. They both had a good spice to them. The tacos were full of meat and I did enjoy that it was chopped into very small pieces. I did not see much fat in them either, which I appreciated. We also got their agua fresca- Jamaica. It was very good. Service; The service was fast, friendly, and the staff answered all questions regarding the menu. Ambiance: They played music, mostly salsa. It was not loud and allowed for us to speak normally. The location of the restaurant was a little hidden, I thought the GPS had taken me to a closed location. Once we made the corner, we saw the well lit restaurant. There is an ok amount of parking. The tables were not sticky and appeared to be clean.

I'm normally not a person that liked to enjoys Hispanic/Mexican cuisine. It often gives me stomach issues. However, ordering here on Uber Eats, I found that I liked it a lot, so I had to try it in person. You order at a small window, the person taking the orders looks to either be the head cook/chef and knew pretty much all about the menu, suggesting different foods and toppings and ingredients. I settled on the chicken torta and a couple of tacos. The wait was a little bit, but the food came out extremely fresh and very hot. I'm happy to report that it's all fresh made. I also picked up some horchata and the amazing spicy sauce. I eat pretty spicy, and even this sauce gave me a kick. The horchata was amazing as well, and not stocked full of ice. The restaurant itself is a bit barren. Some benches and a few tables. The chairs were a bit uneven, so I rocked a bit back and forth. Overall, it's clean and a okay place to sit and eat. If you're in the mood for Hispanic/Mexican, give this place a shot! It's delicious both delivery and eating in.

After a long day at 6 flags I was looking for a place to eat that was by our hotel and came across this place. The guy who was taking my order was very patient and helpful. I placed an order for the 5 mini tacos. The tacos were good and the salsa was delicious.

One of the best taco spots in San Antonio. So underrated. The mini tacos are amazing and so is the asada fries.

My wife scored another fabulous place, a diamond in Mario barrio. tortas were fabulous, avocado sauce, excellent medium, and hot sauces. Excellent taste. We will definitely be back. People are friendly quick to serve and seem genuinely grateful.. there's a lot to test on this menu which means we will have to come back several times next time I promise to take a picture.

Great tacos. Even better torta. Really nice people. This place is definitely worth making a detour for! We were looking for a simple dinner spot and were lured in by the high ratings. Could it really be that good? Heck yeah! Tacos El Takin is nothing fancy. The food truck outside the restaurant reminds you they aren't far from a humble 4-wheeled beginning (and that they do catering for weddings and parties!) The inside is pretty basic with some booths and tables, fine for larger groups. My bf got the campechana street tacos - an easy way to try a couple meats at once. Each taco was a loaded, tasty bite. A squeeze of lime cuts through the richness of the meat really well. I got the torta with the asada & pastor to try something new. You can have just one meat, or you can mix it up! The torta came out well toasted, fresh off the grill and piping hot. It was hard not wolfing it down and burning my mouth/hands at the same time. Some restraint is beneficial here.. The torta had avocado, beans, and cheese, making it very hearty. This is the best torta I've had since going to Mexico! We'll definitely be making a trip back here soon.

Food great, service great! Will definitely be going back Not too big,or too small. Music playing. A little pricey but what isn't nowadays! Give it a try!

Was looking for a new taco place other and stumbled across this place here on Yelp. My new favorite go-to because the chicken mini tacos are perfect and there's hardly ever a line. My brother loves the carne asada tacos with queso fresco and raved about the charro beans. His second time having them, he added chicken quesadillas to his order and apparently those are pretty good too. I can't wait to try some of the other things on the menu, but these chicken mini tacos have me in a chokehold. Pro tip: Say "pura salsa verde, por favor," when ordering and thank me later!

Between the amazing service, the cleanliness of the restaurant, and the amazing, consistent food, this place is as close to perfect as it gets. The pambazos and tacos de tripa are our go-to orders so try them when you come.

Can you tell I loved my food ?

Amazing service and food!! It turned outs that they have a nice indoor seating area. We had got the Loaded Fries and 2 Gringas. It was delicious and definitely deserves 5 STARS!! We'll be back!!

From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place was special. The atmosphere is beautiful, upscale, and inviting. The architecture and design throughout the restaurant are absolutely stunning. Even the restrooms were impressive and reflected the same attention to detail found throughout the entire establishment. The food was outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. This isn't your typical restaurant experience--the menu is creative, unique, and offers something different. You can tell a lot of thought goes into both the preparation and presentation of every plate. What really made the experience unforgettable, though, was the customer service. My waitress, Kreizon, was absolutely amazing. She was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely made me feel welcome throughout my visit. Great service can make a good meal even better, and she definitely elevated the entire experience. The outdoor dining area is also beautiful and creates a relaxing atmosphere that's perfect for enjoying a meal and taking in the surroundings. If you're looking for a restaurant that offers exceptional food, incredible ambiance, unique architecture, and top-notch customer service, Domingo is a must-visit. This is more than just dinner--it's an experience. Highly recommended, and I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in San Antonio.

The restaurant is on the river walk, and right under a hotel, so it's very accessible. The…read morerestaurant itself leans more towards a modern experience. Electronic dance music pulsed quietly in the background. The toilets were all individual unisex stalls that were classy, mine had run out of hand towels. Also, the entire restaurant is very dimly lit. I had to use the flashlight on my phone to read the menu, but I have poor eyesight so there's that, but it might explain the quality of the photos I took. The Paloma drink was amazing. It had a great spicy zing in the back of the throat after every sip. Queso was... kinda plain. It might have been better with the add chorizo option. It was very thick. Shrimp cocktail was big, but we started fighting over the shrimp pieces. There was plenty of onion and tomato left over after the batttle. Pollo Asado was a great flavor and the chicken was juicy. Grilled squash that was on the side was good. Chicken enchiladas were good and had freshly sliced jalapeños, which is always a welcome detail. I wasn't able to taste the quesadilla but my daoughter said it was "really good". Fried Chicken sandwich had a great flavor and the bacon was actually pork belly if I'm not mistaken. Sadly there was more batter than chicken. The seasoned fries were delicious and crispy.

We started…read morewith the Pan Fila Conchota combo that is a combination of the two that is 1/2 gallon of hot chocolate made using a base of Abuelitas with additional cinnamon, and cocoa along with something special. It was delicious! The concha was soft, buttery and flaky, with just the right sweetness. We took home the majority of it and it stayed nice and soft instead of turning hard like so many others. We decided to try several appetizers to go along with our concha to get a wider taste of their food than we would by just ordering a couple entrees. Let me tell you, this was a great idea! We ordered the Tosti-Ceviche Verde, Panela Asado, Mexican Street Corn, and their Spicy Bean Dip. The Ceviche Verde was excellent, the freshness of the fish and shrimp was wonderful with the chipotle mayo and avocado. We chose to have it on the salsa Verde Tostitos and it was all great combination. The Panelo Asado was a completely new dish for us and was extremely good with a savory flavor from the salsa Tlaquepaque that mixed well with the Panela cheese. Their tortillas though not made in house, are made for them and taste like mom made them. The Mexican Street Corn was great and had the perfect bit of char taste from the corn. It was creamy and flavorful, we did think it could use just a tad more lime juice though. The Spicy Bean Dip was very good. You can't go wrong with Oaxaca, Chorizo, and pieces of pork mixed with some mildly spicy beans. Our server was fantastic. She had great recommendations for us, and was quick with checking on our drinks and generally helping us throughout our dinner. The food was prepared quickly, was hot, tasteful and refreshing. We definitely will be going back, and recommend Pan Fila to all of you.
