You have severely over cooked the beef in the tacos, then cover it up with a 1/4 of onion on each taco Tacos are dry and unappealing. None of your sauces are available to those with gluten intolerance, but who knows. Staff seems to not really know! Too bad. Way too bad. This was THE BEST food....excellent service, polite, attentive, and the cooks created a delicious meal after a fun day traipsing around in Saint Elmo. Please, please be patient with these wonderful folks as they are hustling as fast as they can being short staffed due to the obvious. We waited thirty-five minutes for our to-go order. Since they wouldn't allow my six pound dog in their (empty) outdoor seating area, we took the food to our car. When I opened the styrofoam packaging I discovered they had covered every single food item in cheese--this, after I informed them of my dairy allergy and requested no cheese on my meal. I had to throw the whole thing in the dumpster down the street. Could not be more disappointed in this restaurant and will absolutely never stop here again. Where to start... wouldn't serve us lunch 15 minutes til 11 so we ordered a drink and waited... SEVERELY under staffed! Asada fries very bland, DO NOT order the Asada tacos or anything else as it tastes like roast beef... literally. My husband got limes with his meal that were brown and literally rotten, tasted horrible. I didn't eat my flauta because it was soggy and the "beef" was gross. But she screamed at me "SORRY I'm such a horrible waitress that you couldn't tip me)! I went in to get owners number to call & report her. She continued to make a scene in the restaurant! I'm not giving you the owners private number! Screaming it! I never ask for the owners private number!! Then a big woman stood up from a booth & told me to leave!! OMG! It was the waitress making a scene! Everything I said to her, she twisted, made faces at me & was just so dramatic. No refills on drinks, refused to ask us how we were doing, how the food was, acted like we couldn't afford another bowl of chips for $1.50! She would ask the other booth how things were, if they needed anything.,.but not us. She ruined my daughters birthday lunch!! I told her about it too & she was horribly rude to me!! She would even make faces at us! I'm almost 60 years old and honestly I have never had a more horrible dining experience. I ask for well done, crispy fajitas & I got medium cooked. But she never ask us how our food was! I'm attaching photos (if I can) of the pile of dishes on our table because she refused to remove one dirty dish. She also gave my grandson all carbonation, Sprite was out. We had to tell her & she acted as if we did it!! Telling us that tomorrow would be the soonest to get a sprite! Okay.,..so he got water instead! Didn't even offer him another soda or drink! I would absolutely advice anyone to go dine in a kinder place. It's Not a taco place. They have tacos but it's a full on Mexican restaurant. I had the mango and mushroom shrimp dinner and it was excellent. Staff was friendly and attentive. Prices are not bad. Everything's a bit more expensive these days unfortunately. Give it a try in the old Amicas spot on 2nd. read more

We waited outside at a table for over 45 minutes and no server ever took our food order, despite going inside asking multiple times for someone to come outside to take our order. We were served drinks quickly..... We were with our 5 and 1.5 year old and ended up leaving with no food for the kids, and going back for a to go order for the adults, having to go back 25 minutes later for food - Insanely disappointing! read more

My family and I loved our first three visits here. The fourth visit turned out to be a disaster. We ordered a taco for our baby and three other Carne Asada tacos. My husband's tacos tasted and smelled like chemical cleaners. I tasted them and agreed, but our baby's taco didn't seem like it tasted weird. My husband went home and was sick, with vomiting and the runs for three days and nights. We remembered the cooks in the back and saw some employees cleaning the restaurant and my husband I hope they aren't cooking too. When we spoke to the owners and told them, they didn't really care, and we received a rushed apology and were basically brushed off. My husband has a severe chronic illness and this could have put him in the hospital. In the end, they didn't care and did nothing to make it right. When restaurants disregard you and your family's health that's a sure sign never to eat there . The place is beautiful but the looks are deceiving we are calling the health department after this. read more

Would prob get it again and would go back to try other options. Others got the fajitas and said they were good, as well as the the chipotle chicken bowl. Said it was okay but a little too much heat. Rellanos were large and heard they were pretty good. House margarita was average. Waited 20 min. to get the check after asking for it several times so that was a little annoying considering they weren't all that busy. Best mexican food in this part of Colorado. I used to live in Phoenix and have spent a lot of time in Mexico. Until El Tapatio opened, the Mexican food scene here was meh. This is a smallish restaurant with some seating outside. This is a mixed review. My food was excellent. I ordered the chicken taco salad. It came in a fried taco shell that was excellent. The chicken inside was in large chunks, however, it was so tender, I didn't have to use a knife to cut them up. My husband ordered the steak asada. He couldn't cut it with the butter knife they gave him. He asked for a steak knife and could cut a little easier, but still hard to chew. So you might want to skip the steak. read more
