As a Canadian road tripping in the US this place was magical! Maybe to locals it's nothing special but to me it was amazing. Basically build your own Mexican made fresh in house with a phenomenal salsa and bean bar and even cute little packets of cut up cilantro and onion. Food was affordable and authentic. Think like 2X as good as Taco Bell but 1/3 the price of a sit down restaurant. The best thing about it for me is that it was open until midnights Sun-Thur and 3am Fri-Sat so it's the perfect place to come super late at night or after a concert (we drove 4 days to come see Taylor Swift...). And it was huge inside and an easy place to rest and take a break on a road trip. I did have to get some assistance from staff as we don't speak Spanish and literally everyone and everything was in Spanish - I think that added to the charm. 10/10 and I can't wait to go back before we start heading north to Canada. read more

Came in for a quick bite. Picked up an Asada plate and some chicken sopes. Food was made quickly and the place was very clean. Only downfall for me was some of the chicken was dry and a bit fatty. The taste and portion sizes however were fair compared to the prices. Also ordered an horchata which was good but a bit on the sweet side. Love that this restaurant stays open until 4 am. We left a hookah lounge from down the street. Basically starving (lol) so I yelped tacos (late night). For your convince, the Drive-Thur is also open. So you don't have park and go inside. The food was adequate, I enjoyed my food. I ordered a carne asada burrito. Which by the way comes with sour cream and cheese which is a plus! And being that it was super late the restaurant staff was pretty chill. The food reminded me of King Taco, simple menu and great food. I love ordering tacos from here using Uber Eats. Really like their Chorizo tacos. Also enjoy their Cabeza tacos. Al Pastor meat is decent. Enjoyed it on a Mulita but for tacos prefer to go with Chorizo or Cabeza. Didn't enjoy their Asada (gristle), and Chicken (bland and dry). Carnitas tasted alright but are a bit dry. Buche tacos are also decent. There are probably better tacos spots in the area, but not on Uber Eats late at night so this is my go to spot! Another thing that this place could improve on is giving the right amount of toppings (salsa, onions, etc). Sometimes I'll order a bunch of tacos and will only get enough toppings for a few. The food is okay. I only buy tacos from here when I crave something quick. The service is fair. I usually use the drive thru, but a handful of times, they give me the wrong meat. Today, I asked for 3 asada tacos and 2 al pastor. I ended up getting 3 cabeza tacos and 2 al pastor. Chorizo tacos are a must try. Super flavorful, right amount of spice and just de--wait for it--lightful. Delightful. Chicken/Asada/Carnitas/Al Pastor tacos are all VERY mediocre. Asada is probably the worst--bland, tasteless, rubbery, fatty meat. Carnitas are dry, chicken is dry. Also--if we're a family of four ordering a dozen tacos, can you guys PLEASE provide more cilantro/onions? They are SO cheap with them! Been to this place a couple times. Food is always pretty good. Always have there tacos. I usually have the carne asada and or buche tacos, but today I tried the Al Pastor. Not really my favorite here. Otherwise, the others are good. I like that they have a salad bar of sorts for there condiments. The fountain drink station is self serve. If you want a refill its 50 cents, but everyone was just getting more. So I take it they don't enforce that policy here. Just a friendly observation. read more

The 2016 YELP 500, Review #148: ALWAYS BUSY: After a late night of seeing bands in Costa Mesa (the main act didn't even go on until 2345 hours), my arrival time here was around 0300. The place was packed, with nearly every table occupied. I will be honest, every single time I have been past here this place is slammed full of people getting their meal on. REVIEWING: Any review I wrote telling you that the food is good would be a redundant attempt at lengthening this tale and condemning the food would be plain stupid. So, why only 4-stars? I will be returning here regularly and I expect this sort of business to run at 100% flawless whenever they are open. Come dine here and I think you willl agree. WHY I LIKED IT: The food is good. The hours are exceptional! Security was present. The cashier was pleasant, wore a smile, greeted us, and was very neat in her overall appearance. Out transaction went smoothly and I would say it was perfect. I wish I knew her name, as I would recognize her with a shout out. I loved that the order was announced in 2 languages. The tables and floors were constantly being cleaned. Ample parking. Restrooms (not observed) Well-stocked utensils, lids, straws, napkins and the hand-sanitzer had plenty in it. The toppings bar was well stocked and cleaned by an employee several times. Plenty of seats. Lastly, there were large TVs showing a local fav - a soccer game, or futbol as they say in my mother's native Brazil. What is not to like. Nothing that I can see. Service was great, environment clean and welcoming, most of the tacos places around are very stingy with condiments, this place has a bar with salsa, beans, onion and extras so you can serve yourself. We ordered mulitas and tacos, they were definitely fresh, they also have free refills on drinks and a good selection from aguas frescas to sodas. Even the security guard was super friendly; I just hope people don't start abusing with condiments so they don't remove them. It feels good to be able to eat without having to beg for salsa or napkins and the price was actually fair so we are definitely coming back here. read more

The food is fresh and made to order. The pinto beans are all you can eat and complimentary, with your order, tacos, burritos, sopes, quesadillas, and tortas or diner platos with the meat of your choice. Their flan and cheese cake is as close to homemade as could be. There is always a game on their TVs and the staff try and meet all your needs. Anybody else get sick on Friday night oct 2nd? My cat watched me throw up, I am certain if he had a phone he would have recorded me bc it sure wasn't pretty, he did freak out and ran out. We rolled up around 11:15pm, I ordered a pastor taco but I think by accident got my sister's chicken taco (couldn't tell what kind of meat i had) which wasn't a big deal, I needed dinner and I just couldn't finish eating it, I ran to the bathroom to throw up & that's when my cat saw me do my business in different ways at different times. Yeah I had a few beers before but this has never happened to me, I was ready to munch!! I also ordered a carne asada sope & was too afraid to eat it although it didn't look that bad with that sour cream that melted over, looking like Oaxaca cheese. I did eat it the next day and it wasn't bad and again, left about 1/4 of it because stomach was still achy. I didn't want to waste it but just couldn't finish it. My sister said she had a stomach ache, I ended up suffering more. They ate in the car, I waited until arriving home--hate not eating properly even if I was starving, heard them said it was "alright." Place looks like it would be good but I'm never coming back here again. Brother in law brought us here, other than that would have never known about this place. Didn't recover fully the next day until later in the evening finally was able to eat again & that cabbage on King Taco sopes helped me feel better, I guess sticking to them. read more
