055/2026/March For an updated review from 4 years ago even we have been coming here several times , I can say I am happy to say my super quesadilla al pastor is not greasy !! Though the cashiers still have to be trained with better customer service!! I am still impressed on how they really keep the restaurant immaculate clean !! Consistently Mopping the floor and also quick on picking up a messy floor !

It's not closest place to Rancho, but it was worth the 18 minute drive. Order: -4 Al Pastor burritos- delish -1 supreme pastor burrito- not much meat 4/5 -3 tacos de lengua- 4/5 -1 asada burrito- pretty good -1 torta de milanesa- 4/5 3 drinks Total $85 Parking was good. Inside: spacious with plenty of seats Buffet of condiments- prefer the fresh over pre-packaged

My first time here with my family for dinner . 3 burritos supreme 4 chicken tacos 4 asada tacos 1 plate mixture of asada / lengua Where should I begin?! I've wanted to try Tacos Gavilan numerous times passing through this area. Today I brought my family for dinner, I was impressed with the A sign score board from the health department . The dining room was spacious and clean, I like the individual wrap condiments concept. Service at the cashier can use some improvement, the young lady's demeanor was not pleasant nor welcoming. The plate of asada and lengua was not good. The lengua had no flavor , the beans were too salty and the corn tortillas were soaked in grease. I can feel the residual grease on my lips. I didn't eat my food after taking one bite. I packed it home in hoping to add my own ingredients when I got home. My girls liked their supreme burritos, my husband said his chicken tacos were decent. Thank goodness my son is now healthy. A few hours after eating his supreme burritos , he was severely ill . Through out the night he had diarrhea. I believe it was from the pre packaged pickle jalapeño, none of us ate it , reason why I concluded as such. In the restaurant my husband did mentioned the pickled jalapeño had an off putting smell and it's liquid looked slimy . We toss those packets aside and retrieve a new batch from the self serve counter for my son at home to eat with his togo burrito. As you could imagine I felt terrible witnessing my son's food poisoning from the food I purchased for him. ;( .. After finding out my son's food poisoning, I threw out my leftover food. I hope the owners/ managers read this review and make some drastic adjustments to how the condiments are placed. Although it is sitting on a cooling tray, maybe the temperature is not cold enough to keep it from spoiling. Maybe label the individual packs with dates/ timelines to easily discern which is new and old. Also maybe find a new location from the window, the sun rays beaming on the condiments packets creating moisture inside the plastic bags that is sitting on the top layer.

Carne asada Tacos (salsa and cilantro/onion) to the side

I really wanted to like this place more. The tacos (see picture) were not as flavorful as they could had been Also they package everything (salsa, onions/cilantro, lemons) this is a great option for if you're doing pick up but not when eating in. Usually places will have an open salsa bar. I want to come back to give it another chance, I went late at night so I'm hoping that why the quality of the tacos and salsa bar were how it was Pros: they are open late

My daughter and I came here the other day and we had a wonderful visit. She ordered five tacos, three chicken and two asada. I had two chicken tacos and and asada burrito. All was good as usual for tacos Gavilan. The store was getting a slight remodel but was still pretty clean inside. We had a strawberry Coke drink mix to wash all the food down and before leaving I filled up my cup with horchata. The workers here were very nice. If we're ever in Rialto again, we would definitely stop by.

I really enjoy how the taste and service are consistent no matter which Tacos Gavilan location you go to. I wished this one had the drive thru however parking is never an issue. The restaurant itself is large and spacious, there's always someone tidying and cleaning up. We typically like to order the three tacos plate, burritos, or the Mulita. The quesadilla here is bomb as well, and so are the nachos. If I'm taking it to go, I prefer to have the cheese put on the side so my chips don't get soggy. I love that they have prepackaged condiments, like the salsa and the onions and cilantro, as well as the lemons and jalapeños. They even offer a self serve of beans and grilled onions and jalapeño. Again this area is always meticulously kept clean and organized. Even though the salsaare prepackage, they're always cold because they're constantly refilling it from the refrigerator. We particularly enjoy the corn tortillas here, because they tasty and so soft even when you reheat them later on. 100% recommend Taco Gavilon for a quick and fresh tacos and burritos.

Have eaten at many of their locations, and it's always a 5 star experience. The food is quick, the restaurants are clean, the service is friendly, and we always leave satisfied. We've been eating with them since before they had their special salsas were pre-packaged. The food is consistently delicious across all locations, and our bellies are always full! Will return time & time again, anytime I'm in the area.

Have eaten here twice. Both times had food delivered. Food arrived hot and as ordered. I love their mulitas. The packaging of the food is excellent. The drinks come in plastic bags and are generous in size. The onions and cilantro are packaged separately as are the lemon slices. My only complaint is that the salsa is very spicy. Even my DIL, who loves spicy food said it was too much for her as well. All in all a good place to eat. I'm sure we will return.

Just friendly service and seriously good, freshly made food. I ordered a combo to try a few things outside my usual comfort zone: panucho, salbute, and their style of empanada. Everything was delicious, and even my to-go order was plated beautifully. The chicken was juicy and packed with flavor, but that hot sauce? BABY, I was not prepared. Consider yourself warned! Love supporting a local family-owned gem like this. I'll be back in no time!

Long review but I think it's important to say what needs to be said:…read more THE SHORT VERSION; First time visiting this place since reviews were generally good and it's truly something special to see a restaurant specializing in Yucatecan food only. The food was different than your standard Mexican offering and overall very good, good seasoning and portions. Pricing was not out of what would be expected for quality Mexican food. The service, unfortunately, was half baked, which is really sad for me to see as a staunch supporter of local, immigrant owned businesses and being a child of immigrants myself and knowing how much hard work is involved in maintaining a business alive. THE LONGER VERSION; It was apparent that the waitress that served us during our visit could not only benefit from more training in offering (and caring to offer) a better customer service experience / better table side communication but also needs to make the connection about how her actions affect the livelihood of a business that others have undoubtedly worked very hard for. But, I guess this assumes she wants to genuinely work there. To begin with, my party was greeted by a poorly delivered and off putting joke about making sure she served us lots of alcohol; delivered in a way that in Spanish is known as "ser llevado" or overly familiar. Odd to make jokes like that when you just met someone visiting your business for the first time, but we passed it off as just a poor attempt to connect. Fine, we moved on. The music was extremely loud. When we asked if it could be lowered somewhat, she lowered the volume from an 11 to a 2, which then made the ask not only awkward but almost passive aggressive. (I only say this because once we left, we heard the volume quickly go back to 11, as if they were just waiting for us to leave to crank the volume back up again). The waitress did explain the dishes well, letting us know what the unique ones were. However, in the middle of our conversation a guy walked through the door and it was obvious that there's a connection between them because she then got more impatient explaining things to us as said guy moved to sit at a table towards the back of the restaurant. We completed our order, she served us and then kind of disappeared to wait on the other table, we thought. When she did happen to pass by our table again, I politely asked for additional plates and silverware, when she had a chance, to which she replied that I could pick them up myself from near the register area. Her response seemed out place since we were dining in and we were under the impression that she was our waitress, so I asked her again for silverware, not plastic utensils. Again, she told me that I could pick up plastic utensils myself from the register, pointing, "see they're right there" and walked away to the kitchen. We were still processing the exchange, a bit in disbelief, when she then appeared with requested silverware and additional plates but visibly annoyed and in some kind of hurry. It was really hard to focus on enjoying our meal after that. The waitress then made her way to the back table to sit next to, one could now only presume was her boyfriend, and we never saw her again. She never checked on us, asked if we needed anything, etc. Her priority was staying seated and chatting it up with that guy. Who did come to check on us was the owner, who seems to have cooked the meals and walked out of the kitchen to speak with us. He asked if we had enjoyed the food, if it was our first time there, talked about how he sourced his ingredients, shared some of the restaurant's history. Then he walked away to continue working. Unfortunately, we were forced to engage again with the waitress (who remained seated at the back table) and had to ask her across the restaurant where we should pay. Before she answered from her chair (didn't even get up to speak with us and was getting ready to yell back at us from her seat) the owner appeared at the register and told us we could pay with him. Unfortunately, the whole service experience did negatively color our desire to return to this place again. Giving more like 3.5 stars because the food was good but not enough to overlook the unpleasant service.
