If you've ever been to King Taco, then you will feel a familiarity when you walk into this place. I've tried the quesadillas, the sopes, the tacos and burritos. No, not all at once. LOL They're all very good. I like the quesadilla. The Asada is a little dry & the sauces are similar to King Taco's but not the same flavor. The Florence location is very clean. The Al Pastor was too sweet for me. Burritos are ok. Sopes are inferior to KT's. But they're infinitely faster then KT. The toppings bar is loaded with fresh condiments. It's a good place if you don't want to deal with the incredibly slow lines at KT. read more

Recently picked up some tacos from Gavilan and they were not good. First thing I noticed the meat looked grounded up. I believe to speed up the process,meat is not chopped but put through a grinder. I'm partial to the carne asada, chicken, and most of all pastor tacos, and my girlfriend really likes the buche tacos, which I've never tried. This place is our go to place to get Tacos in the middle of the night. The tacos de asada and pastor are my go to all the time. The asada meat is a little overcooked for my liking, but it is well seasoned and tasty. The pastor adobada is always nice and juicy just the way it should be. I love this place. I highly recommend ordering from their fiesta platter menu for office parties or birthday parties. For the price of $299.99 you get to feed up to 60 people, even though the menu indicates that it feed 30-40 people. This is by far more inexpensive then getting a taco guy.
