Terrible set up! Apparently one must pay more per person to have a better set up. Meat smelled and tasted burnt. Very small portions of rice and beans were served. Quesadillas were not made, which were noted on the receipt . Plates and forks , very poor quality. read more

These people are extremely unprofessional! We hired them to cater for my moms celebration of life event. We sent them the deposit and they confirmed that they'll be there at 2pm. The day arrived it was 2:15 and they were no where to be found. My aunt gave them a call to ask what their ETA was, she spoke to the wife "Esmeralda" and she claimed that she had no idea what event we were referring to, she said she only handles their Facebook page and she referred us to her husband. We called the husband "Manuel" and he also acted like he had no idea. We told him we sent him the deposit and he said he had never confirmed with us. We sent him a screenshot of the message from him confirming that he will be there at 2pm, just so he can say "well you guys never sent me the address" I'm sorry what!? As a business owner you should be following up with all your clients making sure you have all the details prior to the event!! Long story short he said they can not make it as they have another event to attend. We had to scrambled trying to figure out what we were going to feed our guest because these people cancelled on us last minute. I would NOT recommend booking with them!! read more

One hour and 30 minutes late to my mom's birthday event - NO call, NO apology from the owner to let us know our food will be late. Totally unprofessional! Our calls were ignored. My sister stood in front of our home pressing redial chasing up where our food was or if it was even going to arrive, when she should have been with out of town family and friends. We had several people ask us where the food was. This was an embarrassment and added stress. We had guests leave and another joking how they can do a quick food run. Finally the food truck pulls in ((1 hour and 30 minutes)) LATE, there was no apology or effort made in making the situation right. Instead there was an ask for a Coke with ice and an eye roll in having only Pepsi. The tables (which we helped set up!) could have been better laid out and decorated for the price paid. I wish i would have read these reviews before i hired taco guys. Unfortunately, this weekend i was ripped off by them. I hired them for 50 people this past saturday from 7-9. They arrived early at 5:15 pm to set up and started serving people at 6:53 exact. They ran out of food at 8:15pm. I was in shock when the servers told me they ran out, when only 25-30 people max had arrived to the party so far and no more than 5 people had seconds from what i saw and asked around. What an embarassment to tell my guess they ran out of food a lil over an hr into the supposed times. Not to mention Agua frescas had no ice and lemonade was a premade packaged mix they dump in to mix. I called the owner for an explanation and was very rude and unproffesional, arguing that i had over 50 people there at 8:15 pm. Not the case. Stay away from them. Will not recommend. My daughter and son in law hired them to cater their wedding, it was excellent decision! Food is all made fresh at site, and sitting at loved one's wedding while those amazing smells are drifting through made it more memorable. Not one person was unhappy with the food, most absolutely loved it. I personally ate too much and hurt myself but that wasn't due to actions of caterers, well sort of was but not in blame way! I used these guys for a work party. A challenge to communicate with since my Spanish is limited. I paid for 80 people but only had 60 people at my party. I over counted so that we would have extra meat for tacos later, once the line dies down they stop cooking so you don't really get any of the left over meat. I tried to communicate this with the two people who were there but neither spoke English. I also paid an additional $125 for a salsa and chips bar. I was expected a separate table with a big bowl of chips and big bowl of salsa, but instead I got a medium size pan of salsa Fresca which already comes with the taco price and 3 20 ounces of other salsa. They provided one medium tray of tortilla chips so people got 4-5 chips per person. I could have got what I wanted at north gate for $40. Overall, the food was good, not exceptional. A challenge to do business with if your Spanish is minimal. They're prices are good but honestly I would rather pay more for better quality service. read more

My experience with this company was trash. I had ordered for about 50 people and the had a small tray with 3 meats on them not even 35 people were there and the food ran out. They were suppose to get there from 4-7 and they got there at 3. Very unprofessional. My first and last experience with these guys. For the price there asking and the little amount of meat. I have been using Tacos Guys for about four years now at home and for office events. Always great service and the food is delicious. Their prices are good compared to other taqueros. My guests always rave about this company and their food. They bring everything from the tacos, salsas, freshly made tortillas, plates, cups , napkins, rice, beans pretty much everything. OMG....how am I the first to review this catering company? Their food is OUTSTANDING!!! Everything is wonderful; from their fresh handmade tortillas on site, the different salsas, the tender and juicy meats (we also had fish tacos, I didn't get a chance to try it but all my guests were raving about it), to the refreshing and tasty aqua frescas. Amazing food and amazing service. We contracted this company to cater a very important event for out of own executives. Everyone was very pleased. The fresh mexican flavored waters were perfect to go along with the food. It was more than enough food even some for seconds or even thirds. The hand made tortillas were amazing. Found this company on Facebook and after speaking with the owner they sounded like a great company to have cater my 4 year olds party. I confirmed time, address, and all the food the week before, so when the time they were supposed to arrive passed I was worried. Owner said the staff had a flat....then an hour later they were lost. Finally 2 hours plus later the staff showed up. While the food was good, some items that were missed from contract items ( green onions, yellow peppers, cheese) Also I had reserved for 50 people and since they were late we only had about 30-35 still there. When I had spoken to the owner in the beg. she said that they bring food to serve each guest 8 tacos..,,. well we had 30-35 and they ran out of chicken.... so if my original 50 would still be there , there would not be enough food at all. I called the owner to ask what she thought was a new fair price since I would not be paying the quoted amount....1- you were 2 hours late, 2- ran out of chicken, 3- missing items that were supposed to be provided....4- had to call you 15-20 times to see where the staff was 5- a lot of my guest had to leave and they were hungry. She did not answer my call until I handed her staff the money and told them that I tried to call your boss to find a fair amount but she didn't answer....so this is what I am paying you. He called her and she answered right away and then called me. She wanted to charge me $45 less then the original quote...ha $45 less that was just crazy to me. I told her there was no way I was paying that, she hung up on me. I would not AT ALL ever use them again and I would not tell people about them. Again the food was good, but taking my time away from taking pictures and spending time with my family and friends and having hungry guest was just nuts and I am very disappointed in this company. I wish they would of told me the first time I called asking where they were that it was going to be so long I would of just cancelled and got pizza....and enjoyed my daughters Special day. read more
