Taco Tuesday doesn't include asada tacos, but you must buy 4 of any other meat to get the $2 deal. My carne asada tacos were mostly not good. A giant piece of fatty steak greeted me and they forgot cilantro and onions. Pretty disgusting food based on my tacos. read more

Came by on a Friday night, not many folks dining in. Lots of tables. Service was nice and fine. Ordered 4 tacos: asada, 2 pastor, and 1 pollo. Tacos were fine but meat dry. Not good but not bad. Husband got an asada burrito - doesn't come with rice but you can add it on. No free chips. Salsas on tables have a green avo based sauce and a spicy red sauce which wasn't very spicy. Pozole was very flavorful and tasty. Big portions and can get tortilla or chips on the side. Also tried regular churro and strawberry churro. Made fresh and very hot. I enjoyed the regular churro. Strawberry was a bit sweet filled with artificial strawberry jelly. read more

Great taco shop! Salsas were outstanding. Had carne asada tacos. Meat tender and corn tortillas soft and chewy. Service super friendly! I see others complaining of prices. But where in phoenix do you find lower prices than this? To me the prices are average and in line with what I pay at other taco shops. Fresher healthier food than McDonalds. $15 burrito? Used to love this place, especially on taco Tuesdays. Now, it feels like things just aren't as good. Taco Tuesdays: cheap tacos for $1.25 but the meat portions match that and aren't much. Are 7 tacos to not feel hungry anymore, not too stuffed. Seems like a low ratio of meat:tortilla. Food was tasty with a nice smoky/char flavor though a trade off for the chicken being on on the dry side. Corn tortillas also harder to chew through. Refried beans looked and tasted like they were heated straight out of the can. Red and green salsas, as well as the churro, were tasty. I get it, I'm there for the tacos. It's not a restaurant setting where they bring you the food and they get tipped. Today felt especially transactional with minimal attempts at eye contact- perhaps they had a long taco Tuesday. Used to be my go to taco spot (I love real street tacos) w excellent chips n salsa... today salsa was not even close to how normally taste... carne asada tacos were terrible re-heated dry n burnt meat dry as bones and the rice and beans which are normally decent were terrible beans had burnt flavor and the rice was reheated not fresh full of heard rice pieces . For $35 for 2 people to eat Taco plates I'm giving a hard pass from here on out... last time I was here the quality seemed to be going down. read more

Solid experience here today. Very friendly staff. Nice clean place. Tacos are great!!! Carne asada tacos had a lot of meat and were nice and juicy. No gristle or fat! Great flavor. Just missing some guacamole in my opinion but still great. Carnitas taco was the best carnitas I've had in a long time. Crispy and juicy. This is the place for tacos. Rice was kind of flavorless and the beans were just ok. I also tried a green chili tamale. Meat had great flavor and the tamale was soft and moist just barely any meat. 90% masa. This is my favorite taco place in all of town. I have been coming here for years and turn all my friends on to how amazing it is. I saw several low star reviews which is a shame because the quality of the meat and sauce is insane. Also if you ask about the sweet tamales you'll be in for a treat. 5/5 in food no questions. read more

Always have a good experience here. These tacos are good, not the best but definitely one of the best options in North Phx, which are extremely sparse. The carne asada is always good, salsas provided in bottles so you don't have to keep getting up to get more salsa -- there's also a sink where you can wash your hands without going into a stinky bathroom. read more

I've eaten here twice in the past week. The first was got lunch on Sunday. My son and I split a 3 taco plate and added 2 more tacos. The next time I ate there was on Taco Tuesday. We split 8 tacos. Horchata both times. Taco Tuesday was the better experience since the tacos were $1.25 as opposed to $2.00 a piece. But asada was out as an option. The taco options are already pretty limited, so it's disappointing that asada is off the table. We have had asada, carnitas, pastor, and pollo. They are all very small, but that is expected with street tacos. The meat is also a bit overcooked and dry. Thankfully the red salsa is spicy and the plate includes a decent amount of cucumbers. The horchata is good, too. Aside from the dry meat, the place loses decor points for the way it locks up the napkins, forks, spoons and such. The same goes for the limited types of salsa they give you with the food. But at least they give it out in large dispensers. Combined with all the messaging on the credit card minimums and the 4-taco minimum on Taco Tuesday, and you end up feeling less than welcome to eat here. Not sure when I will be back. read more

Disappointed. I walked in and the kitchen was being cleaned as if they were closing but they were open. Nothing was being cooked. Everything was already premade and just sitting there who knows how long. I ordered one chicken taco while my husband ordered quesadilla de Al Pastor and also asada tacos. Everything was way too greasy. This is perfect if you're looking foe the best greasy tacos after a hangover. I wouldn't come back. read more

Do not give these people your business. The food is mediocre. You can taste the old meat for the tacos. The service is awful this is only our second time giving them an opportunity and it was awful. Mary made us sit outside in 115 degree weather because my 7 year old son and 10 year old nephew had happy meals because they didn't like the food last time we ate the. Also bring a group. The portions are huge and the food is clearly meant to be shared. Trust me on this one, bring friends. I've tried a bunch of dishes here, and there are a few I always go back to. For the table, Camarones Locos is an easy choice. The flame grilled shrimp comes out hot and full of flavor, perfect for passing around. La Patrona ceviche tower is massive and worth the order. When it hits the table, you immediately feel good about the decision. El Pulpazo is technically an entrée, but we always order it as a shareable. The octopus is grilled perfectly and it comes with rice and beans, so everyone gets a little of everything. For entrées, my number one pick is the Lobster and Crab Enchiladas with green sauce. I think about this dish at least once a week. The enchiladas are packed with lobster and crab, and the green sauce ties the whole thing together. Honestly, I could talk about this place all day. If you like Mexican food and seafood, you need to try it. Great food, big portions, and a menu that makes it hard to stop ordering.

Our party arrived right on time for our reservation, but we were not seated until 15 min later because our table was not ready. It took about an additional 15 min to get tap water for the table (there was not enough provided anyways), and to place our orders too another ~20 min. The food did not arrive until 30 min later. For context, we eventually learned that the restaurant was short staffed and the bartender was also operating as our waiter. When the food finally arrived, there was a mix-up on what was delivered. We had checked with the staff who delivered one of the dishes: we ordered the "wild mushroom" side, but what we received did not look quite like it. We asked clarifying questions x2, but were assured, "no, it is the wild mushroom." Turned out, it was the mushroom empanada that was delivered to our table, which we originally did not order. The management did rectify the situation upon the conclusion of the event when we were paying the bill, but to us, it felt a bit accusatory as if we intentionally wanted to cause a huge fuss about the final total, which was absolutely not the case. The food in general was delicious. If this was a more standard dining experience, it would have been 4-5 stars just for the food. The service was very subpar, and really colored the entire experience negatively, therefore the two star review. I understand that staffing shortages happen -- fine. My family has worked in food service as wait staff for 25+ YEARS, so I am empathetic. But for management to ring up our bill and then come confront us in an inflammatory manner, making us feel like we were wrong, on an occasion to celebrate something special, was extremely disappointing.
