Tacos de Al Vapor

They are generous with their tacos! Love that they put a lot of meat. Better than any other tacos that's for sure

Horchata and free chips salsa

This place has a huge menu that serves a lot more than just tacos. They have breakfast options (pancakes, eggs, bacon, omelettes), burritos, tacos, quesadillas, hamburgers, tortas and much more. I love the decor here. It is very colorful and festive with paintings all over the chairs. It's very hot inside and feels like there is no A/C. The waitress/cashier was friendly, prompt and accomodating. I tried the pollo torta and 3 tacos (pollo, pastor and carnitas). The tacos were on the greasier side. The torta was alright but had too much mayo (?) for my taste. The free salsa and chips had good salsa but the chips were on the heavier side. My favorite part of the meal was the horchata. It wasn't too sweet nor bland. They open really early and close pretty late.

Best birria tacos I've found NOT in a truck. Ask for them off the secret menu! Looks like a hole in the wall but food is amazing!

A lot of places popped up, but this Mexican restaurant really stood out -- great reviews and the food pictures looked amazing. It's about 13 minutes from the airport, which made it super convenient. From the outside, it looks small, but once you walk in, it's surprisingly spacious. We were seated immediately, and our server was absolutely phenomenal -- so friendly, attentive, and welcoming. For an appetizer, we ordered the queso fundido with chorizo (you can choose corn or flour tortillas). This is one of my favorite dishes to get at any Mexican restaurant if they offer it, and this one did not disappoint. The cheese was perfectly melty and stretchy, and the chorizo had great flavor that paired so well with it. Wrapping that cheesy, savory goodness in a warm tortilla? So good. For my main dish, I ordered the quesabirria -- corn tortillas filled with birria and cheese, fried crispy, and served with consommé for dipping. It was decent, but I will say it didn't have quite as much flavor as I'm used to with quesabirria. Still enjoyable, just could've used a bit more seasoning. The beans were actually delicious and full of flavor, but the rice was a little bland and could've used some salt. Overall, the service was amazing, the restaurant was clean, and even though it was busy, everything came out in a timely manner. The prices were also very reasonable -- definitely not expensive for the quality and portions. I would absolutely come back to try other dishes. With just a little more seasoning in some areas, it would easily be a five-star spot for me!

Been here 4 times this year. Little hole in the wall in an unfortunately sketchy older strip mall…read moreoff Peoria / Mississippi. Doesn't look very promising until you open the door. The small dining area is clean, neat and brightly decorated without the kitchy strings of plastic jalapeno lights, serapes, and touristy sombreros one often encounters in Mexican restaurants. The waitstaff are friendly and helpful. I have been there three times for breakfast/brunch for the chilaquiles and fresh orange juice: I watched the lady run the orange halves through the juicer myself. Fantastic breakfast and fairly priced. This afternoon went for supper and had the carne asada fajitas. The obligatory chips and salsa were first rate. The salsa is made in house; was nice and thick and had a nice smoky flavor. I ate all of it. The fajitas were heaped up on the usual fajita skillet with a quite generous amount of steak cut in narrow thin strips, very tender and flavorful. The pepper slices were also thin and numerous. Best fajitas I can remember in Aurora/Denver in the 25 years I've lived here. No iced tea so I had a Mexican coke in the obligatory medio litre bottle. No room for dessert. I left fat, sassy, and sated. This is my new favorite Mexican place along with Piramides on Havana.
