Not your typical taco truck or stand It's unique with limited outdoor seating I could not get enough of the fried fish tacos, crispy outside, seasoned well and saucy sides with tangy kicks Great combos Downside, don't take phone orders and special items are not updated on the site.

DoorDash review: we were craving Mexican and decided to try a taqueria we've seen online for years now (and no, it's not related to the famous El Gordo locations). The burritos are long and skinny with great tortillas but a strange taste. The pastor is so heavily marinated and tossed with peppers that it tasted less like a burrito and more like an ethnic wrap. The tacos were underwhelming, but the suadero here is not bad. Overall- not a hit and didn't finish most of the food which was a shame.

Steal burrito is kool but if I'm getting chips, I don't want crumbs. I had 4 whole chips and than this

    Unflavored tacos

I'm visiting the Bay Area and came across this taqueria called Tacos El Gordo. Ask for the prices, you pay the same amount for a bottle of water as you do for a couple of tacos--which makes no sense, especially since the tacos themselves are flavorless and the salsa is completely uninspired.

The food wasn't horrible but it wasn't the best.. For the price I paid for 2 tacos I am still not full. At the very least add guacamole for free don't charge for it, almost $9 for 2 tacos? Nah fam next..

If you know about Tacos El Gordo then you know!!! This one of the best Mexican restaurants in the Bay Area! Well at least to me it is lol The meat is so good, I love it here! Tacos $12.80 for one. Canceled order, rip off. Good thing there are more Mexican restaurants around. The menu board says $3.85 per taco.

Ask the Community - Tacos El Gordo

    Do they take card?

Yea they do but most small businesses LOVE the cash for some reason! Plus the businesses do have to pay the 2-4% for credit card transactions!

    Do they accept Phone orders?

No Phone Orders and they took down their ON-LINE ordering. Very inconvenient. Please join us in the 21st Century.

Is this the same chain in Tijuana, San Diego and Las Vegas? I hope so!

No, sadly it’s not! I was hoping it would be, too.

    Q días está abierto?

Todos los días hasta las 2 de la mañana.

While the burrito was definitely "super" in size, the proportions were way off. It was heavily packed with rice and beans--which were fine--but they clearly skimped on the carne asada. When you're paying for a premium burrito, you expect the meat to be the star of the show, not a background character. It felt more like a vegetarian burrito with a few guest appearances by the steak. If you're looking for a massive meal and don't mind the filler, this hits the spot, but for those of us looking for a balanced meat-to-rice ratio, this one missed the mark. Hopefully, it was just an off day for the line cook.

The only think did change is the price but the wouldn't stop me. You know how most places fall off after a while? Not this one. From day one to now, it's been straight consistency. The burrito hits every time no skimping, flavors on point. Honestly, it's more than just food at this point--it's a tradition. Hard to find something that stays this solid for two decades. Respect where it's due.

Not a lot of taco spots are open late at 10p but I saw that PNT was open. My family and I pulled into the driveway and were confused because it looked and sounded like a bar. There were a few people standing outside and I asked if this was a bar or restaurant and the gentleman said it's a restaurant. We walk in and got some stares because it was late and we had kids. Didn't matter to us. Everything on the menu sounded delish and they had al day breakfast items. We ended up going with the following: 1. Chicken sandwich- 10/10 my teen loved this. It was a crispy thinly sliced chicken breast with all the fixings, and pressed to perfection. 2. Chicken Caesar salad - 10/10 the lettuce was Romain, tossed in Caesar dressing and parm, with grilled chicken filet. 3. 4 tacos de asada - 10/10 yummy chopped steak, seasoned and grilled to perfection. I'm not sure if the evening chef cooks better or maybe we were starving, but the food was great! Ambience at the time was pretty loud but I figure it's because people hanging out in the bar area. Definitely will be back.

NOT WORTH MY $44 !…read more I got these food items: Asada tacos- 1/2 of the taco meat was just big oily chunks of fat, I spat it out immediately. Rest of it was tolerable to chew. Tortilla was dry and oily. Al Pastor tacos- bland meat with a lingering dry pepper aftertaste that makes the meat taste old. Took one bite and was immediately repulsed. Chips and dip (guac and salsa)- chips are oily and hard to chew. Guac was bland, no garlic or cut tomato. Salsa was a viscous sludge in a small tub, had the same pepper taste as the Al Pastor. Horchata drink- too much cinnamon and saw multiple lidded to go cups of this already made in the fridge behind the register, no expiration dates on them. ALSO PLEASE UPDATE THE PRICES ON YOUR MENU, I was charged $11.95 for the chips and dip but the menu says "house chips and guac $9.50" ... how is salsa $2.45? Only positive thing I would mention is that the free tiny salsa, slice of lime, sliced radish, and pickled jalapeño and carrot was nice of them. Wish the pickled veggies didn't drip vinegar all over the bag (it was wrapped in tin foil). Never been here before and never coming back again.
