Great soup!!! Perfect for a snowy day like today also added stars because my phone was going to die and they had an outlet to charge my phone.

Came twice for lunch. Saturday for takeout and Sunday for dine-in at 11;30 or so. Vegan chili beans, beef barbacoa and cauliflower tacos. Also guacamole, tortilla soup, Jarritos and a corona. Pros: - taco filling aplenty! The vegan chili beans are apparently very delicious - check out the condiments and water station for varieties of hot sauce to choose from: pineapple, jalapeño and hot - service is good (order at the till and seat yourself) - the soup is super flavorful and hot to order with corn chips added for texture

Our first night at Whistler and we just wanted something fast and easy. We walked by Tacos La Cantina and we decided to grab some food. We ordered the beef pasilla and beef barbacoa tacos, sweet pork cantina bowl and the roast chicken soup. The tacos were tiny at $4.60 but I guess the good news is that it was packed with meat. The soup was flavorful and served piping hot. The cantina bowl was adequate, not great - not bad. It was pretty full for 6:00pm on a Sunday. We sat at the counter seating as that is all they had. I think the slushy lime margarita was pretty good for the price!!

3.5 stars in general I wouldn't say this is the best Mexican food I've ever had in Canada , BUT it was definitely a good effort. They have these frappe margaritas that invite people to enjoy their tacos with margaritas. In general a good experience. Unfortunately the rice was not properly cooked, sort of raw (even crunchy) On the other hand, their options for tacos is good! And the SALSAS ARE THE BEST!! Salsas are truly authentic. Oh! BTW they have alcoholic and NON alcoholic choices. They were super friendly, patient! We barely wait for our food. The music is loud and make me happy!! Loved the decoration using a luchador mask as a logo.

This place is great for take out, so I imagine it would be even better in person! Their flavors are spot on. I love the inclusion of corn and peppers in the rice. The sauces on the burrito were fun too! A lot of their stuff is gluten free too which is nice if you need that accommodation. My mom loves the chicken soup

So many things wrong at this Mexican joint...to start it is not inexpensive, about $18 for a bowl and this does not include guacamole OR pico for $2 each. Portion size tiny for what you are paying, a quarter cup of rice and the chips are placed into one top of the refried beans taking up 50% of the bowl, and covered in refried beans. Barbacoa was OK but somewhat fatty - trying to find a positive here is tough. I would avoid this place unless you are going for a frozen marg.

We love the tor casual, small and endlessly delicious Tacos La Cantina. Every visit to Whistler this is one of our first stops. It never disappoints. Today we had the green salad and with pulled chicken salad. I added my daughter's pico and it took it to the next level. We also had the always generous burrito with pulled chicken and simply elegant quesadilla. It's just beautiful and as delicious. Of course, the guacamole was fantastic, but even the large was not large. If you love guacamole, you know what I mean. Seating isn't ample and it's tight, but say hi to your close neighbor. Definitely go if you like casual, fun and delicious Mexican.

La Cantina tacos at Whistler Marketplace has been around for quite some time but we've never had a chance to go since we keep going back to favourites. On a rainy off-day, we ventured out for some crêpes and the wait there was too long so we ended up at La Cantina. We were happy we did! The service was quick and the food was delicious. We ordered the chicken soup and though it was on the saltier side, it was quite filling with chicken and rice. We shared the sweet pork burrito which is a HUGE portion filled with a pulled pork, black beans, avocado, tomatoes and lettuce. It was very good. The guacamole and tortillas was quite good though I wish it had more flavour. This one tasted like it was straight avocado and onions. I've had tastier ones with different spices added. We ordered a trio of tacos: fish (the best!), sweet pork and beef. We'll most likely come by again on our next visit!

Went here with the family while on our ski trip and it was a great casual dinner spot! We had a short wait but once we got seated everything was awesome. I got a chicken burrito and it was super filling and delicious. Two things of note for this place: 1. The guacamole to chip ratio was the best I've ever seen. We ate all of the guacamole without a chip left to spare, nor were any chip refills needed. Incredible. 2. The food came out within 3 minutes after ordering up at the counter. It came out so fast that we had to stay late and finish the drinks we ordered but couldn't drink! Overall 5/5 experience and would definitely recommend if you're in Whistler.

Super tasty! Service was great as well, with different servers checking in throughout the meal. I would suggest reviewing the menu before visiting as you are assigned a table upon arrival and then ushered to the cashier to order. When busy, you are certainly under pressure to make a quick decision.

We were seated right away and our server came over and she was really nice. We checked out the menu and decided to try the tostadas. When our server came to take our order we asked about the size of the tostadas and she said they were like street size tortillas, maybe a bit bigger. It was our fault for not asking if they came with anything, we didn't and they didn't. Mr. B ordered the Ahi Tuna Tostadas and I chose the bean and pineapple tostadas. When the dishes came out, we were a bit surprised, the tostadas were sliding around on the large plates. Each dish was $16 and what we got was definitely not worth $16. The tuna tostadas were very good, had a nice spice to them. My bean and pineapple tostadas were delicious, spicy and very flavorful. So there was no complaints about the flavor of the food. But for the price I would expect a side of rice or something. This was more like an appetizer. For $32, and what we got, I wouldn't go back. There are some really great restaurants in Whistler, and in the Village that I would prefer to try or go back to.

So I walked over and they advertised a prix fixe menu for $30 - I can have a three course meal for less than that single salmon don! Place looks pretty nice and is very chill. As for the prix fixe it was fantastic. Basically - one appetizer, one soup like dish and a full dish. This is what I had - - ahi tuna tostada - very well done, light and great flavour - birria quesadilla with soup - both the soup and the birria was excellent. They go well together too. The quesadilla (actually more like a fried quesadilla) was already filling by itself and the meat very succulent. - chicken enchiladas - good, I also liked the green sauce it was served with. Rice was on par too. Overall I was very very happy with this meal and would definitely come back.
