Chicken Burrito
Chris G.

I stopped here while I'm whistler village and saw that the reviews were pretty good and was definitely wanting some Mexican food so figured I would give it a try and I was pleasantly surprised . The service and quickness of the staff was great and very fast after ordering the food we were served within a couple minutes and as for the food it was actually really good , I wish they offered carne Asada but the beef burrito was good . We also ordered the chicken burrito which the kids loved and they were a good size . My only complaint was $12 for chips and salsa when the burrito was $13.50 which I won't reduce the rating but think they should be a lower cost. Overall if your wanting tacos or burritos and in the area this is definitely a spot to check out while here.

I can't control myself when I'm here! I go through stages of "I'm soooooooo full!" to "Why am I still eating it hurts soooooo bad!" to "I'll have two more tacos!" If you're in this place long enough the same thing may happen to you. If you're passing through the nesters area this is a good stop to get something quick with friendly service. They also use the real soft taco shells like the ones I've seen my Mexican friends use and double shell each taco for no spillage. Our favs are the mole verde chicken and pasilla beef. Come on Tuesday's for taco Tuesday their meat tacos drop in price from $3.25 to $2.50 and while it isn't the cheapest taco around it's still a deal for the whistler area. They say that four tacos is a meal but I'd say it's more like 6 if you're hungry, I'm a small person and I think these are tiny tacos. The only one thing that bothers me is is that they nickel and dime you for salsa and guacamole etc. It should be free if you buy a minimum amount of tacos. On my last trip I had like ten of them so that should entitle me to free salsa and guacamole no? I guess not, but if you decide to skip out on them the tacos are so good on their own you don't need extra flavoring on them. Good cheap eat if you're on the go! #WhistlerWonderland

I'm from California. I didn't expect to get good tacos in Whistler of all places. But was craving a taco for a snack so figured I'd try this place, not expecting much. I got the Beef Pasilla taco to start, and WOW, what an amazing explosion of flavors. It is SOOO good!! Definitely try it... filled with flavor, and the chicken has clearly been slow cooked well in this sauce. It was so delicious that I returned 2 days later craving the same taco. I also tried the Beef Barbacoa one. Also good, but I still prefer the Beef Pasilla one the best. The service at this place is also great - friendly, welcoming, helpful, and fun!

Friendly staffs and quite a few tables outdoors. Dogs are welcomed to sit outside but they need to be away from the walkway and tied to the side. The servers bring out the food to your table after you placed your orders inside. You can dine there or take them to go. Reasonable prices and delicious food. I've had more authentic burritos and burrito bowls than this but it's still yummy. Their tacos are nice though. I did enjoy the frozen lime margarita. Parking spots all at walking distance but need to pay except after 7pm

This is way better than the other Mexican restaurant we went to that was near the lift. This place's price is pretty reasonable and it taste pretty good. My hubs had 3 various tacos, (pork and beef) and he loved it. I didn't eat anything here today but I've had their food here previously and thankfully they have vegetarian/vegan option which is nice! The atmosphere is pretty comfortable here and it's clean. The staff are quite friendly too. Highly recommend this place!

Drove by here on the way from a hike and was very pleased with the find. We tried the citrus pork, cochinita pork, pasilla beef, and rajas poblanoels in both tacos and burrito bowl form and everything was fantastic. Super flavorful, fresh, juicy, ample meat, delicious veggie (so good I am totally getting a burrito stuffed with rajas poblanos next time!), soft tortillas, yummy salsas and it doesn't break the bank. The burritos are huge here, service is super fast, and I like that it being away from the hustle and bustle of the village that it's quieter, more laid back, has lots of parking and is even priced slightly cheaper. I definitely look forward to going back!

Great spot for tacos. Fish tacos were excellent. I would skip beef and instead get pork. Overall a good place to go for a quick bite.

Our last night in Whistler and we were hungry for Mexican food. We decided to try The Mexican…read moreCorner as it was a short walk from our hotel, but had mixed reviews. We were seated right away and our server came over and she was really nice. We checked out the menu and decided to try the tostadas. When our server came to take our order we asked about the size of the tostadas and she said they were like street size tortillas, maybe a bit bigger. It was our fault for not asking if they came with anything, we didn't and they didn't. Mr. B ordered the Ahi Tuna Tostadas and I chose the bean and pineapple tostadas. When the dishes came out, we were a bit surprised, the tostadas were sliding around on the large plates. Each dish was $16 and what we got was definitely not worth $16. The tuna tostadas were very good, had a nice spice to them. My bean and pineapple tostadas were delicious, spicy and very flavorful. So there was no complaints about the flavor of the food. But for the price I would expect a side of rice or something. This was more like an appetizer. For $32, and what we got, I wouldn't go back. There are some really great restaurants in Whistler, and in the Village that I would prefer to try or go back to.

So I walked over and they advertised a prix fixe menu for $30 - I can have a three course meal for less than that single salmon don! Place looks pretty nice and is very chill. As for the prix fixe it was fantastic. Basically - one appetizer, one soup like dish and a full dish. This is what I had - - ahi tuna tostada - very well done, light and great flavour - birria quesadilla with soup - both the soup and the birria was excellent. They go well together too. The quesadilla (actually more like a fried quesadilla) was already filling by itself and the meat very succulent. - chicken enchiladas - good, I also liked the green sauce it was served with. Rice was on par too. Overall I was very very happy with this meal and would definitely come back.

We tried a variety of dishes across both visits, and every single one was fantastic. The balance of flavors and the way different cultures are blended together is seriously impressive. Some standout dishes: the truffle ceviche was incredible, and the black tiger prawn causa had a sauce that was absolutely fantastic. The tallarín de marisco is a must-order, we loved it so much we ordered it twice. We also had the salmon anticucho and Colombian arepa, and everything was fire. Everything tasted fresh, well thought out, and perfectly executed. You can tell a lot of care goes into each dish. If you're visiting Whistler, Balam is a must-visit. It was easily one of the best restaurants on our trip to Whistler.

It seemed like a great deal - 5 things for like $7-8 but beware that each one is TINY so you'll have to order a lot if you are hungry. Still great quality. - The anticuchos were amazing. The shrimp one in particular is really really tasty, full of flavour. The chicken one is good too with a crispy piece of something. - there is a plantain croquette with amazing sauce. Great texture and it melts in your mouth while retaining crispiness. Tiny though. - the pork tacos are great. Great flavour and I love the chimichurri sauce. - the fries are only OK. A cheese dip but otherwise not much flavour. Would love to come back for a fuller meal.

Came to this location again and it is a MUST when in town. (Is exceptional in service, flavour,…read moreatmosphere and aesthetic compared to the Vancouver locations.) When you walk in you're promptly greeted by the hosts. We came mid week and tried their spring menu which was 4 courses for 33 before tax and tip. The server was prompt and attentive with a sincere, friendly demeanour. They were out of the tomato soup so we got the chowder and some chips and salsa (not pictured). Both were so delicious. The chips were ultra thick and reminded me of eating bugles as a kid, but way higher class. The salmon and chicken were way larger portions than we had expect , and done to perfection. Chicken is a little spicy but this is the type of service and cooking I liiiiive for! If you've ever had any other Earls scratch that out of your mind because when you come here, this is literally the place to be. Sticky toffee pudding also wonderful. It's not like a pudding more like a mini chocolate cake with toffee, vanilla ice cream and this almond florentine style cookie. Recommend to anyone even vegetarian / vegan as they have a plentiful plant based menu as well. This place is vibes for friends, dates, or a family dinner.

I ordered the 6 oz prime sirloin with truffle butter. Both steaks came out in exceptional time. The service was quite amazing. My only thing was both steaks were overcooked. I ordered medium and it looked almost well done. My friend ordered medium rare and his was almost medium, if not done as well.

We came in for lunch and I ordered the Warehouse Mac and cheese which was a perfect conviction of cheeses and Roasted Red Pepper Alfredo Sauce on Cavatappi Noodles, and it was just spicy and flavorful enough. We also ordered the sun-dried tomato pesto penne and my son had the crispy chicken Caesar wrap - all were equally as delicious.
