The tomatillo sauce was a little bitter. This is the first time we've experienced the slight bitterness. We will be going back though.

Didn't seem like there were any alcohol in there, but it did creep up on you later. Happy hour was monday to fridays from 3-7 pm. Our total came out to be $41 without tip. Overall, nothing special about this place. Our server was slow, given it was father's day, but she rarely checked up on us. We had to flag her down for the check in the end. As for lunch itself, tortilla soup was fine - pretty much chicken broth, a few chunks of overcooked chicken breast, a carrot slice and some cheese and chips inside. The pork tamales are smothered in cheese to the point where you can't really tell its a tamale without the corn husk, but not complaining about more cheese. The refried beans and rice were nothing exceptional, but helped to round out the meal. All in all, does it's job. Not necessarily the best in town but far from the worst either.

As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by a striking mural of the Venezuelan flag painted in vibrant colors across the wall. The pesto mushroom risotto was good, but a little salty for my liking. If you want to add protein, it's ~$6 for beef or shrimp and ~$4 for chicken. Overall, it was good! We'll most likely be back.
