Maybe say hands down the best cheesy tacos I ever had... drove by on my lunch and thought I give this truck a shot and most definitely not disappointed. Some of the best food truck tacos I've had... and I eat A LOT of tacos. I ordered carne asada and shredded beef both were amazing. The shredded beef was so tender and carne was seasoned perfectly. I added cheese. The tortillas were delicious and every single ingredient was tasted, like nothing overwhelmed the other. Serious perfection!! The five girlfriends I was with and I took our tacos/nachos inside Altamont beer works which is where this food truck was parked outside of (lucky us we had just done a wine tasting across the street at wood family vineyards and they pointed us to this location) we ordered some drinks while enjoying our delicious mid-wine tour. Every one of us girls agreed, easy five stars. I wish this truck was in my town, but that could be a problem. However I would visit Livermore, which is a 4 hour drive from me, just to have these tacos. So yum. read more

This food truck was right outside Altamont Beer Works across from Wood Family vineyard. We went to go try their tacos as a post-wine tasting snack. I got the quesabirria taco ($4.50) since the only Birria I had before was Ed Fernandez in San Diego. This honestly paled in comparison. The fried tortilla with melty cheese was good but taco as a whole was kind of bland. I had to add a lot of sauce to make it more flavorful. The red salsa was quite spicy though so I stuck with their green salsa. The rest of the family got pastor pork tacos. The kids didn't want cilantro or onions so it was quite plain for $3 each. I thought the pastor would be more sliced pork but was surprised to see it crumbly. They said it was a bit spicy and said it was ok otherwise. I also didn't like there was an extra $1 charge for using Square payment that I wasn't told about. I had to ask what it was for and she said Square service charge. It's one thing to say it up front but I didn't like the lack of transparency. If I hadn't gotten a receipt I guess I wouldn't have known. That's more than usual credit card fees though... The only place in Tracy you should consider buying tacos. Period. The tempting Taco Bell sign next door may give you all the college dinner feels but don't give in. There's a better meal on the other side of that drive thru. Flip a b and head on over to the gas station parking lot, park your car and walk yourself over to this food truck. The taste was on point and the soft tortillas were soft and so delicious. The cheese quesadilla here is another GREAT choice. Omg y'all I think I've found THE ONE. This truck offers tacos and quesobirrillas tacos and hubby got quesobirrillas while he brought me one single asada taco(Apparently I'm on a diet, jk he was already bringing me pupusas lol). Anyway, that one taco took me back to all the hot taco spots in L.A I haven't been able to find here in the bay or even lately in L.A. either. It seems like everyone is capitalizing on having a truck but not all are very special or have what it takes. In my opinion, Tacos Los Alteños has it! From the flavorful carne asada to the soft chewy tortilla and the salsas that just sing! Red for delicious spicy hotness and the green for that sweet mild spice. I had to do both because they were both so on point! These were so bomb I could have inhaled 3 of them! They are the smaller size (which I absolutely love) but still very filling and just the perfect amount of meat to tortilla ratio. I called to confirm their location on Grantline near the gas station but I'm going to make a plea for them to come out to Mountain House. We just tried Taco Los Altenos for the first time, First thing I noticed the truck was spotless. The kitchen was clean as can be. Then my son Alex and I got into a conversation with the owner. She was beyond awesome. Such a sweet and wonderful person. If I were to guess I would think it it is a family business, Husband, Wife and their parents. It appeared as if Grandma was cooking. That just made it all the better!!! Then we got our food, she surprised us a with a special treat. We brought the food home and the entire family came to the conclusion. Just got some food from here. Prices are what you would expect. I got a burrito, an asada quesadilla and 2 lengua tacos for $25. Each taco was double tortilla & literally had a few very small squares of lengua on each one. And the quesadilla was flat even though it was of asada. What a joke. Don't waste your time or money with this place. read more

There's a truck outside my job so I figured to try it out. I ordered a steak super burrito, but there's no steak it's ground beef... if your going to pay $12 I would want it to be steak cause putting ground beef is false advertisement. I'd go try a different truck to pay for steak/asada burrito. Taco Bell puts steak in their burritos I don't understand. Other than that they're fast and nice workers, but honestly I just don't understand why it's a ground beef burrito. read more

Ordered the carne asada nachos, and birria tacos. The queso birria tacos has more flavor than just the birria but still really really yummy. I love how crispy the shell was still and wasn't soggy. The nachos were the best ones we've ever had!! Worth the $10 because it's LOADED with meats and toppings. Every single chip. Definitely found our new truck. Worst food truck I have ever been too I got a pastor burrito the meat tastes old with old rice and no flavor. The sauce was the worst thing I ever tasted they didn't taste anything like Mexican sauce I ever had in my life . It tastes like candy and is so weird I took a bite of that burrito I wanted my money back the lady was so nice I didn't have the heart to tell her I just threw the burrito away if the owner are reading please change your sauce and make food fresh don't used the same rice or bean for next day the only people who are buying from This food truck are people who don't know about real Mexican food. :( read more

This place is really great. The best Birria tacos around. Most places make them so greasy. Have been 5-6 times now and tried most of the items on the menu. Everything has been fantastic. My favorite is the Tacos and the Nachos. The only downside is they get so busy the parking lot of the gas station can be kinda rough to navigate. Can park in the taco bell lot and walk over, save a headache. read more

The tacos are the tiny ones. They are not asada, they are grounds beef. We also got a quesabirria, it had barely any cheese on it and no cheese on the outside. Had barely any flavor. The lady was courteous and fast service is the only reason I didn't give it one star. read more

At Altamont brewery I wanted to find out what the hype on this birria style taco is all about but I opted for the quesobirria. Holy moly it was delicious!Now I know what I've been missing out on.
