    Casa Crunch Burrito
    Scarlett D.

We came to Casa del Barco for a family dinner, and everything was wonderful! I started with the Blueberry Basil Margarita, which was absolutely divine. For my entrée, I ordered the Casa Crunch Burrito. It was incredibly filling and flavorful, and the chicken was seasoned very well. My brother also ordered a burrito--I can't remember its name, but it was topped with queso and tasted delicious. My mother had the Birria de Res Tacos, which came with an incredibly flavorful consommé. Dipping the tacos took them to another level, although they were delicious enough to stand on their own. Our server, Alondra, was wonderful. She greeted us with a smile, remained attentive, and helped make our experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant's interior was also beautiful, with decorative bottles and artwork displayed throughout the space, creating a fun and inviting ambiance. Great food, excellent service, and a beautiful atmosphere--we had an amazing family dinner!

Bar happy hour was busy. The specials for food were a good price. The drinks had a good discount too. Bar server was very attentive. Dinner was good. The street tacos had too many consumer and barely any steak. The chips were fresh and salsa and n the sweeter side. Service was ok, we had to request water refills. Food came out quickly.

We visited for dinner on a Wednesday. The restaurant was pleasantly not busy, offering a very calm and enjoyable dining atmosphere. The staff was kind and attentive. I appreciated that our food came out quickly. They use good ingredients across the board. The atmosphere is enhanced by nice decor that makes the whole experience feel welcoming and vibrant. I'm a big sweets person so I always tend to get dessert. The Mexican churros are incredibly rich, but they pair absolutely perfectly with the dulce de leche gelato. The only real logistical caveat is the parking. You must use a local lot, and the price is a fixed rate of $12.50 for 12 hours, with no lower hourly option available. It's something to factor into your visit.

Phenomenal restaurant with a great bar. If I could give six stars to service I would. The queso, guac, and salsa are delicious with the right amount of kick, though maybe a bit too much spice for my weak stomach to be mixing with drinks at the bar. The chips are fresh and delicious. My friend got a guava cocktail with tajin on the rim and she loved it. I ordered a Californian Wheat Beer that was alright, it had a unique taste that I haven't had in other wheat beers, but it was still enjoyable. The bartender immediately asked to fill our water bottles as we entered and I knew the service would be exceptional. He was very friendly and attentive, in a way that leaves a lasting impression, surpassing ordinary "good" service. The atmosphere was great with plenty of TVs and good mood lighting. I highly recommend giving this place a visit if you are looking for a bar or Mexican food.

I got the beans and rice bowl with chicken. There was a very large portion of chicken. Also got the chips and salsa for $5. I got the blackberry basil drink with vodka instead of tequila. It was tasty. They were very accommodating for a large group of about ten people.

Chris G was a great server. Food was plentiful and delicious! Drinks were flowing, and churros were awesome. Great look to the restaurant and fun music!

We traveled to Casa Del Barco for my best friend's birthday weekend, and it was just what we had hoped for in a party. Our favorite? Of course, margaritas and Mexican food. And this location fulfilled both! On a beautiful day, we sat outside by the river, and it truly seemed like a little vacation. Our server was fantastic, friendly, attentive, and made sure we had a nice time. I wish I could remember his name. The cuisine? Excellent. Delicious margaritas. It was the ideal place to unwind, have fun, and celebrate friendship for another year. Casa Del Barco is the place to go if you're in Richmond and want good food with a view and a vibe.

A T M O S P H E R E The decor in here literally screams fiesta! From the ambiance the lighting creates, to the entire vibe the layout brings - you won't be disappointed. S E R V I C E The waitresses/bartenders are so friendly and helpful. If you don't know what to get, they are ready to ask you what you like and then list recommendations. F O O D I had the BAHA Tacos on my most recent visit and it was the perfect amount! I literally forgot to take a picture because I inhaled them. So I took a picture of my friend's waffles instead (which looked amazing as well)!

I used to frequent Casa Del Barco but haven't been in recent years. The location on the canal is super cute and convenient to many downtown locations. I was disappointed that the menu, which used to be very clearly labeled with gluten free items, had very few gluten free items marked. In fact, one item that was marked gluten free included fried shrimp and a flour tortilla (not gluten free) but the bean and rice bowl I ordered was gluten free but not labeled. This new menu presents very real safety concerns for people with allergies. We considered going elsewhere before ordering but the server on this trip was incredible, checking with the chef about gluten safe items which is how we identified the bowl was still safe for me. The food was good and the service was great but, if you have food allergies or intolerances, use caution. If you have Celiac, do not eat there. I shouldn't have risked it and got sick quickly.

I'd say this is your typical touristy mexican place. Overpriced weaker drinks but they are delicious!! Food is overpriced too and seemed pretty limited. It's worth a visit as it is very pretty and they have a great tequila selection. Try it, just don't count on much!

The charcuterie board we ordered was excellent and a highlight of the night. The location is also great for nightlife. We were told guests are expected to be quiet during the sets, yet another group was talking loudly and nothing was addressed, which felt a bit uneven. Overall, it's not a place I'd return to, and I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a more diverse crowd.

We ordered the brussel sprouts- they were great with a nice heat from the sauce. We had the crispy skin salmon, which came with a nice fresh salad, The skin was amazingly crispy and the flesh was flavorful. I asked Briana to surprise me with something good and boy did she deliver. It was their porkchop served over some super tasty mashed potatoes. Note that this is not how they are usually served, it was Briana's favorite way to eat this dish so she made the decision for me. The porkchop was very very good.
