During our weeklong Spring Break trip in Florida, this was our best customer service experience. The gentleman working the front of house was so friendly and welcoming. He smiled and was patient with us and made sure we had a great time here. We each ordered a taco platter that came with 3 street tacos, pinto beans, and rice. The rice and pinto beans were also tasty and added nicely to the tacos. The portions were generous. My favorite taco was the asada taco...yum! We also had the chips and guac which was also a highlight. The amount of guacamole and chips was plenty to feed up to 3 or 4 people. While you are eating in a gas station, the owners have done a nice job of sprucing up their portion of the interior of the building.

Looks like Tacos on the Road is our go to place for delicious Mexican food. Everything is fresh and delicious and it's not like the heavy food that you get sometimes at other places. So we stopped here today and David got the chicken enchiladas which were presented in a lovely fresh manner. Enchiladas, sliced avocados, rice and beans and some salad. This is the first time I had a torta and I chose the breakfast one. It was a large round sandwich with bread that was light and fresh. It was filled with scrambled eggs, cheese, beans, tomatoes, onions and maybe more. I got a verde sauce on the side. It was super yummy! I had iced coffee with coffee ice cubes from Next Stop Brunch, located in the same gas station store. This was the perfect lunch for us! I recommend it highly!

I came here wiggle visiting FL. I was in the area and found this on my search for lunch. Turned out it was at the gas station. I usually am not keen to eating at a gas stop but given the great reviews we decided to go in. It was very clean and looked cute. The service was excellent, very friendly and attentive. Hidden in a Marathon station! One of the best tortas I've eaten since I left Texas over 20 years ago! Crispy steak Milanese on a toasted bun! Beans, cheese, greens, avocado and salsa with jalapeños on the side.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while and it did not disappoint! The service and food recommendations were fantastic. Very patient while I took my time deciding from the wide variety of options. The guacamole is exceptional, one of the best I have eaten (and I love guacamole). The Pastor and Carnitas tacos were so fresh and delicious too. It's hard to believe the restaurant is located inside a gas station. Honestly, I have pretty high standards on atmosphere and would definitely have eaten at a table there. It was clean and nicely decorated. You need to go visit for yourself. I'll be going back often to try the other Tacos, Burritos, Enchiladas and tostadas. They even have milkshakes and fresh made juices that I can't wait to try!

Tacos On the Road is a new Taqueria inside a Marathon Gas station on Corkscrew Road near I-75 in Estero. As you enter this Gas station, the left hand is Gas station merchandise, straight ahead is Next Stop Brunch and on the right is Tacos On the Road. The hours Mon-Sat 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM and Sun 9:00 Am - 5:00 PM. It opens about three weeks ago. The emphasis is fresh ingredients, and organic based. Menu has tacos, quesadillas, burritos, breakfast burritos, flautas, fajitas, enchiladas, torta, alambre and other items. The table area is shared with Next Stop Brunch, but you can uniquely identify that the new tables belong to Tacos On The Road! One thing I did noticed, there were containers of Pink Himalayan Salt on the table. Pink Himalayan Salt beside its color pink has a lower sodium content and many trace of minerals. Some believe, this is much better and healthy than the normal table salt. Fresh produces, melons, pineapples, etc. are on display by the counter area. My first order and visited on Taco Tuesday. Since this is Tacos On The Road, my first instinct is to try their tacos first. I sampled shrimp taco and barbacoa taco with Melon Aqua Fresca. Both tacos are excellent. The shrimp is grilled properly and barbacoa was moist and tasty. The Melon Aqua Fresca is right on point and refreshing! The staff is friendly with efficient and fast service. Other menu items like Caldo de Res attracted my attention. Will be back!

Located off the interstate in a Marathon gas station, but the food is elevated well above what you would expect. The torta I got was equipped with a whole bunch of high quality ingredients on on-site bread. My companion got the taco which was packed full and very satisfying. The service was impeccable by the chef (and I presume the owner). Ambiance was excellent despite the location. Do yourself a favor and order the churros....outstanding. read more

Well if you don't mind eating in a gas station this is a great choice for breakfast or lunch. One man operation with a Mexican flair. Fred ingredients wonderfully seasoned with friendly service. I ran into this gas station to grab a water and I walked in and the wonderful smell of Mexican food took over! I was not intending on eating whatsoever. The place is located in a gas station but is decorated super adorable, super clean you would never think that you were in a gas station. The menu is amazing so I decided just to try some thing and settled on a Carnita taco. It was one of the best tasting carnitas I have ever had. Pork was tender, not fatty and delicious. The pico to Gallo was obviously extremely fresh. If this place was closer I would be eating there every day. Do yourself a favor and stop in. read more

Very tasty. Great green sauce. I had three tacos. They are VERY small. 3 tacos didn't feel like a meal to me. I would go dj for the food, but if I was hungry I would dine elsewhere. I live up North. Food seems much more expensive to be down here. read more

I ordered steak tacos today for my son when I got charged the price on my receipt was deferent from what was charged to my card I ordered 14.00 in tacos with tip should have been 17.15 as my receipt said but the amount charged to my card was 20.58 if you go get food here don't use ur card pay cash because no one could help me fix it just shrugged his sh at me so I had to get a new card issued just in case . read more

If you're looking for a light , quick efficient healthy meal. Tacos on the road is the place for you. Located inside a marathon gas station in Estero Florida. The best that we ever have . The prices are phenomenal, the girl and the chef prepares us for a good surprise. It's refreshing, delightful and I can never get enough of them. We chose to cater our parents 50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration with food from Tacos on the Road....and we were NOT disappointed in the least. Alexjandra and Jose delivered the food and it was hot, delicious, and a huge hit at the party. The fajita meat was absolutley incredible and the pico was fresh. The quacamole...was outstanding. The food was the talk of the party. We estimated 85 people in attendance and they took care of everything! Great price for the service and food we recived. That said, the chips and salsa were delicious, and the jalapeño margarita was excellent -- definitely the highlight of the meal. Overall, a mixed experience for me, with a few standout items.

YUM!!!! DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! Location of being in a Marathon gas station can throw you off! Don't be fooled! This food was yummy!
