    Chilaquiles

Some of the best chilaquiles I've had in Pasadena! Made to order and everything was so hot and fresh. Perfect cook on the eggs too. I'll definitely be back.

Rice burrito with sprinkles of protein not worth it..

I really wanted to like this restaurant The reviews and pictures made it sound amazing. Unfortunately we did have a good experience with the food. All three of the burritos we ordered had very little protein I mean little. They were rice burritos with sprinkles of protein. Flavor was good salsas delicious too but not worth it..

Pretty good shrimp tacos, menu is small but tacos are fresh and light. I definitely want to come back and try some other items. Service was quick.

Street parking was easy and it's free. I think this place is cute and looks very clean. The service was wonderful. I loved the woman making the food. The guy taking my order was also kind. I ordered a shrimp burrito and with $1 tip it was $18.58. The shrimp burrito looked full and was packed with fun ingredients. Shrimp, Peppers, onions, guac and sour cream. They served a red and green salsa with my shrimp burrito and I enjoyed the green salsa most with my burrito. My 1 and only wish was that the quality of the shrimp was better. Some of the shrimp is deveined, not all. 95% of my shrimp and burrito were delicious and the other 2 bites not so much. I would try other items here and maybe even try the shrimp burrito again one day to see if it was a one off or just the way it is. There were a few people in here eating and all their food looked great, must have tasted great too as they ate it all. Friendly staff said thank you and wishes everyone good day. Again, my favorite was the woman cooking the food, she was so warm and had a beautiful smile.

Two fish and a asada taco

Stopped by the other day for lunch, saw that it was a new spot on yelps - hot and new in Pasadena. Nice little spot on the corner, luckily found some street parking . Small store with both indoor/outdoor seating. Not sure what to order so I decided to grab a couple tacos - I got one of each : cabeza, asada and a fried fish taco. The service was kinda slow it was pretty busy for lunch. They ended up giving me 2 fish tacos and a asada tacos ? I guess that's okay because I was hungry. Asada taco - was kinda dry not much flavor on the meat itself. 3/5 Fish tacos - they were breaded -- differently than those from Ensenada. Tasted healthy still kinda dry. For me if I was going to just get tacos I would probably pass on this spot. The food while was good was kinda dry the sauce really saved it. I think there are better places in for tacos in town.

This place is delish! I got one veggie, and grilled fish taco. Both were fresh and tasty. The salsa was fresh, and the price was very affordable. Forsure coming back to try more menu items

Taco plate: asada, carnitas, and pork with Rice and Beans

This is my family's absolute favorite taco spot in Pasadena! Whenever I'm craving tacos, I head to Tacos Poncitlan. 1) Food: I always get a classic taco plate with 3 tacos, rice and beans. The tortillas, meats, and salsas are incredible. 2) Service: they're super friendly and the food comes out pretty fast! This spot is the perfect mix of casual, hole in the wall, family business with delicious food. It's unpretentious and affordable, which is exactly what I'm looking for in a lunch spot I hope to be back to try their chilaquiles for breakfast!

When I came in it was near closing time and there was no one sitting inside. I think they were closing up, but I had enough time to order something to go. I ended up ordering two fish tacos. It was neatly packaged and plenty of toppings, along with some salsa on the side. When I finally got around to eating the tacos, it was very tasty and there was a nice crisp to the Ensenada style tacos. I definitely cheer for places like this, and I tend to score a little higher only because I feel like there needs to be more places like this around. Not only that, but they have a pretty extensive menu, but I really just came here specifically for the fish tacos on this visit.

We were eventually offered two separate tables, which we accepted just so we could stay. Our server was slow and not particularly friendly, and the service overall was mediocre. The food was delicious, but unfortunately the experience and hospitality were nowhere near what I've experienced in Manhattan Beach. Very disappointing, especially after recommending it so highly.

While the customer was saying her order, the employee got a personal call while dealing with the food, answered and was preparing the food while on her phone call. I have a video snipped of this interaction. As we were finishing about to leave, another customer came in and was waiting for over 5 min. The entire restaurant can see and hear her on the phone. Something about another employee not coming in and it was just her and that she had done everything. When the customer tried to get her attention she motioned hold on with her hand. I completely understand it sucks when a co worker calls out. But that was a bit much. No wonder this place is always dead. No one would want to come back after this experience.

They didn't open at 12:00pm as stated on sign. Their menu is super limited, like 3-4 meats, and some vegetarian option. I personally would like more meat option, like beef tongue, fish, etc. Their tacos are large and also pricey. $4.50 per regular taco and $5.50 per taco if it has cheese. I got 3 asada, and 2 pork. The asada tasted the best, I would only get asada next time. Their sauces are on a separate counter, and there's plenty of options. I just hate how the plastic containers are by the register, and they're super tiny. Super inconvenient. No indoor seatings, outside is limited.
