The food is good, the steak was well done and the Mexican is done to perfection in this place. It reminds me of Mexico.

Some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. This place has been here for awhile, and it is a popular place among the residents of SBH. They give you freshly fried chips and two types of salsa to start. Tried the tacos, quesadilla, guacamole, burrito during my year in the Bronx. Loved everything I had. I think the spicy chicken taco is probably one of my favorite things. I would call ahead to place your order since they tend to take their time making their food here. I had a taste for Mexican food and walked 8 minutes to get there. I'm glad I did. The food was very delicious and the prices were very reasonable. I had the lunch special that was rice, frijoles and 2 tacos for $6.75. I loved how the cilantro was fresh and taste so good on the chicken tacos. I also ordered the shrimp burrito which was very tasty as well. I could not finish it because the portions are huge. I will definitely come back to eat there in the near future. It's a tiny place and maybe a handful of tables and chairs to sit but it's worth the stay if you want to eat somewhere small and intimate. The staff is friendly. Food is delicious. read more

Wish I could give no stars. Not only did my food arrive late, by when I was called downstairs for it, it appeared that the delivery guy took a cab with multiple orders to drop off. Didn't speak any English, so the cab driver tried to assist with translating, but his English wasn't that good. Then the delivery guy proceeded to open EVERY takeout order he had to find mine!! Insane!! He even opened containers of food to see what was in them when the receipt was clearly tapped to all of the bags stating the order inside and whether or not it was already paid. My receipt said paid but yet he still persisted to ask me for money. I will NEVER order from here again and neither should anyone else. On top of that, the food wasn't great either. read more

I used to go to this place often & it was good for a while. I really don't know where it went wrong, maybe new management. Food was great before. In a few experiences I've ordered food & found small pieces of hair in it. I used to get quesadillas all the time from here & even that they've managed to mess up. The last time I had ordered a large chicken quesadilla & it came with these huge white disgusting onions ( which they never had in it before) , some stale outdated looking salad & a nice juicy black small hair. This place is a hidden gem on the concourse. They serve authentic Mexican food. I have never been disappointed with their food. Most of the worker speak English which is a plus. I order chicken nachos and a shrimp quesadilla that's oh so good. Definitely a must try read more

I ordered food through Yelp and when I called an hr later, they had just seen the order online! Took almost 2 hrs for it to arrive (mind you, when I finally got it it was 11pm!). The food is incredibly delicious. The restaurant is small but welcoming. The service is fast. I love the horchata and the grilled chicken with chunks of potatoes to die for. Too bad there there are no Heineken but the Negra Modelo replaces it :D Love love spicy food :D read more

The first couple of times I was impressed with this place. I was first drawn to this place because I was pregnant and craving Mexican food. The proximity of this place to my house was convenient and therefore ideal. I'm not sure what happened, but eventually the food came with less ingredients. The presentation also got worse, it looked as though the delivery guy ran with my order because the styrofoam tray was a mess, the paper bag wet and broken from leakage. I gave this place a few chances, shame on me. Eventually I discovered a different place and moved on. read more

When this place opened it was great; food, management, cleanliness and prices! Unfortunately I'm not here to discuss how it use to be but rather how horrible it is now. Things have changed for the worse, food doesn't taste as flavorful or fresh, the orders always seem to be messed up and not much effort into making the customer feel better with offers to fix it, the prices are the most aggravating. Why is it that the menu is constantly changing? The food items are the same but the prices keep increasing, in 2014 alone i have had to get 4 at least 3 new menus! If that isnt bad enough when you order please be sure to calculate yourself because they make up their own fees, "taxes" right because taxes are apparently 15%. The nachos used to be fully loaded but you're lucky now if you find meat or cheese under the top layer of nachos. The chicken used to be so flavorful and now its dry and bland, also they add large cooked white onion strips which is horrible. This place no longer recieves my business. read more

Food is just OK. Overpriced, for what it is. I get 2 tacos and a quesadilla and the total was $22, dont ask me how. I just paid and left.
