I really liked my visit to Tacos Sahuaro. It is a bit hidden and does not seem like much from the outside, but once you walk in it's a fiesta! I love the decorations and the vibe it has going on. It gives off a very homey vibe and makes you feel very welcomed. They have a huge list of types of tacos that you can order from and that was what I tried. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them, everything tasted really delicious. I really enjoyed the corn tortillas that they used for the tacos, it was grilled just right and went very nicely with what was inside the tacos. My meal I had at Tacos Sahuaro was very authentic and overall very enjoyable. I would highly recommend giving this place a visit if you have the chance. read more

This is truly a gem! This taco spot is going to be added to my rotation of places I need to eat at when I am visiting Phoenix. This place truly has a wide menu that is all authentic dishes at an affordable prices. The staff was super friendly and interactive. We had a few questions and they were patient and answered them all. We also asked about their juices and and they let us sample it. The juices were sweet and amazing. Tacos Sahuaro has great flavor in their food and other condiments and vegetables to add to the flavor. The food is freshly made to order and comes out rather quickly. This place deserves more than 4.5 stars. I don't remember when I put it on my list, but I should have come sooner. The asada was so good - which honestly doesn't happen all the time. Even if the spot is fire, I feel like places don't season their asada, but here? It was super fire gas mask just absolutely bangin. I love quesadillas. They're easily my number one choice when I just don't know what to eat because they're simple & they're always good. If I could always have this quesadilla as my option, I'd probably never eat anything else. It's all about the ratios, and the meat to cheese ratio was perfect. You know it's gonna be a good spot when they use the Oaxaca cheese. The Agua Fresca selection was on point. You just never know with those, but the strawberry lemonade was so good. It's like actual strawberry lemonade, and not just lemonade with strawberries in it, or just some out of the can lemonade. I will absolutely be back here ASAP even though it's like 25 minutes away. The food came out quick, the staff was super friendly, and it felt like a mom and pop shop inside - which is exactly where I want to get my Mexican food. Tacos Sahuaro was phenomenal! Coming from Chicago, where there are over 200 authentic Mexican restaurants, I've had a hard time finding better tacos in other cities, but Sahuaro dethroned my favorite local place. This is a very casual place located in an Mexican neighborhood. We shared carne asada, al pastor and carnitas tacos. Keep in mind that these are not gourmet tacos, but they way that they grill the meat infuses so much flavor. This is the first place where the carnitas were crispy, which could mean they were fried, but so so worth it. Highly recommend dining in so you can eat them when they're right off the grill. I was intrigued by how many agua fresca flavors they had by the registers - pineapple, watermelon, cucumber and chia seeds, and melon and the friendly woman who took my order let me try a few of them. She suggested mixing them, and who knew a pineapple and watermelon mix would be so good! The drink is sweeter than what I normally would prefer, but very refreshing to pair with tacos. They seemed to be a hit with other customers since almost every table had a drink. read more

They all pair so well with their complementary pickled veggies too (carrots and onions). I highly recommend the pastor - probably the best I've had in Phoenix and I've tried a handful of places around here. And don't forget the agua frescas!! My fiancé and I always split 3 large agua frescas between the two of us. Sometimes I even just go here for the drinks. In addition to the great tasting food, their service is quick and their staff is super friendly! I've dined in and ordered takeout, either option will produce your food as quickly as possible. I have Finally found a Taco location worth spending my money at! I have many friends over the years that would always say "You need to check this place out" or "this other place is sooo authentic", after listening to many of them and trying out their recommendations, I have come to the conclusion many of my friends are LIARS! ha-ha. (Joking, you more then likely will not get shanked)! Inside the place honestly, It could probably use a deep cleaning. It doesn't smell bad or anything, it could just use a fresh coat of paint, some ambiance, and a Professional tile cleaner. However, I wasn't here for the ambiance... I was here for some tacos! Tacos are 2 bucks a pop and I ordered 3 Carne asada and 1 chicken, my wife ordered a couple tacos (she was a bit sketched out by the location). We sat down and they brought us some sides like carrots and onions, and some cucumbers, lime and salsas. We got our tacos and I tried the hot hot salsa on my taco and as I took my first bit into heaven I shed 1 tear! This taco was amazing! My taste buds were orgasming (Not literally)!!! The tortilla makes up a lot of the flavor. They double up the corn tortilla and cook the outsides, and insides are doughy. The carne asada was spot on and the hot ass salsa was the topper!!!! I ordered 2 more they were so good. Its a simple shop, tacos burritos and gorditas, no chips (saves more room for tacos). Set aside the worry of the neighborhood if you want a bombastic taco! I also tried the mini quesadilla with carne asada and it was pretty delicious. The tortillas are super fresh and the meat is tender and flavorful. They give you the typical sides with sauces. The green chile and red salsa were good, but not the best I've ever had. At the suggestion of other Yelpers, I tried the Al Pastor, Carne Asada, and the Carnitas Tacos. The three tacos were quite filling because they come double wrapped in two tortillas. The Carne Asada Taco didn't have a lot of flavor on its own - probably would've been good with some fresh guacamole - but the Al Pastor Taco was delicious! Also, if you order a Coca Cola be prepared for "un medio litro - that's half a liter! These tacos are undeniably delicious! I went with a few friends last Sunday and we were thrilled by the good prices and even better food! Not to mention the great service! The ladies who took our orders and brought out our food were unbelievably polite and friendly! Plus they bring you limes and pickled veggies and two kinds of sauce and this hot chili oil paste that is absolutely KILLER. I got 2 asada, a pastor, and a lengua taco, and I'll be honest I was too busy enjoying myself to even remember what my friends got... the food was so GOOD! There's not a lot of good places to get tacos from without shelling out what I believe to be too much, but Taco Sahuaro has cemented itself as my go-to taco place for when I'm in the area! Last dinner in town before heading back to Seattle and we were looking for a place that was quick and nearby. This is the place! They have tortas, tacos, burritos, quesadillas and so on. I had their chorizo taco and carne asada quesadilla and they were seasoned well and done perfectly. Especially, the carne asada, it was moist, flavorful, all-around good with a little kick. My wife had their burrito and taco in head and lengua meat and she liked hers. I also had a Mexican bottle Coke which is always refreshing and good. My wife's sangria out of the bottle drink was not good; we thought they made their own sangria. If only Seattle had good Mexican food. (sighs) read more

One of the best tacos in the area!! I have been coming here for 7 years now, I on average eat here once or twice a week. I usually got for their tacos but I like to switch it up which you can't got wrong with. They unique thing I really like about this place is they serve all of their stuff with one bag with sliced cucumber and limes and another with delicious pickled carrots, onions and jalapeños. Also there red sauce and chili oil stuff are some of the best in the valley. If you are in this neck of the woods, do your self a favor and stop on in. Everything is delicious. The women here are amazing! Always so friendly. We love coming here since we moved in the neighborhood a year ago. I'm always suggesting it to people.
