Great place with wonderful food but we were hounded a bit on our way in by a woman asking for help with laundry money. Still, my Chile Relleno Combo was great, and my wife and kids loved their orders also. Staff was super nice and there were lots of tables available. Decor was colorful and cheerful. We liked it, but for the discomfort on the way in. Good food!

I had the fish taco, my son had lengua burrito and my husband had birria. Everything was so good. We ate so quickly the only dish left for me to photograph was the soup. Their salsas were amazing too. As well as horchata, sandia, and pepino and chia. The price was amazing too.

By far my favorite taco spot in all of Arizona. The food is amazing, authentic, and consistently hits every time (my go-to order is the carne asada quesadillas, and they never disappoint). But honestly, what really sets them apart is the service. Every time I come in, Joselin and Fanny make my experience extra wonderful. One of the last times I visited, I was absolutely being the worst and walked in just a couple minutes before closing. Instead of being annoyed (which I probably deserved), they both welcomed me with a smile and were so kind and pleasant. You just don't find that level of care and service anymore. I always know I'm in good hands when I see Joselin. She is a total superstar. You can tell how invested and devoted she is to Taco Sahuaro. She's constantly going above and beyond to make sure every part of the experience feels seamless from the second you walk in to the second you leave. If she's not taking orders and answering questions with a smile, she's wiping down tables, checking in on customers, or communicating with the rest of the staff. She works so hard, and it shows. They've created something really special here. Highly, highly recommend.

I placed a to-go order while in the area one evening. Although parking is limited at the front, there's more available in the back. We were greeted right away upon entering. The interior is surprisingly spacious and offers plenty of seating. I was happy to see them offer non-meat options like fish other than just veggies or beans. I ordered two fish tacos and one cheese quesadilla, both with corn tortillas for myself as well as a steak burrito for my son. Our items were ready within minutes. My fish tacos were okay, and the sauce and salsa it came with enhanced the flavor. However, the cheese quesadilla was bland and also needed sauce or salsa just to have any sort of flavor. My son said his burrito was "good," but he's easy to please. Their tacos appear to be a favorite among Yelpers, so perhaps I just chose the wrong items.

First impression from the outside is to keep driving, BUT DO NOT! This place is cute and clean on the inside. I ordered a carne asada Gordita it was fried to perfection and the ingredients were very fresh. Their bean and cheese burrito was also a delightful well-seasoned choice! Order and pay at the counter and they will bring it to you. Dig a little deeper in your pocket and enjoy their homemade drinks, out of this world!

I've had Tacos Sahuaro on my Yelp bucket list and when I found myself near them recently, while it also being Taco Tuesday, it was a sign! The parking is limited, as they're right off 32nd street, but I was able to snag a spot in front and they do offer parking in the back, so something to keep in mind. They were bumping which is a great sign. Their Taco Tuesday special is .50 cents off at the time of review. They offer ample seating inside. You could definitely dine in easily with small or slightly larger groups. I asked the team member what her favorite was and she recommended the quesadilla with carne asada. I got one of those and tried their breakfast burrito, side of refried beans, pastor tacos and horchata. Overall, it was good not great. The taco was definitely the best of what we had and has great flavor. The breakfast burrito was a bit dry and the quesadilla was good but not stand out. I did love the refried beans they offered a perfect consistency. The horchata left a bit to be desired. The green salsa was delicious, but the red didn't do it for me. We did get it all to go and it was sitting in my car for about 30 minutes on my drive home.It was good and did scratch the itch hir want stand out overall. I would definitely visit them again to eat it fresh and probably stick with their tacos this time around.

Tacos Sahuaro was a very nice experience. My wife had an asada taco and I had a guche pork belly taco. We both just had water but the juices looked good as well. Bigger space for a taco spot and had good AC friendly staff. Tacos had good flavor and the salsas had a lot of nice flavor as well. Definitely a great taco if you're in the area! Will be back.

Tacos Sahuaro serves up some tasty bona fide Mexican food. When you arrive at the restaurant, you'll find an unassuming little strip mall with limited parking. (More limited parking is available if you pull around the building.) When you walk in, you'll be greeted by the sounds of Mexican folk music and a big dining room large enough to accommodate a couple more tables than already exist. The service is fast and friendly. One employee was quick to take my order and another dropped off a variety of hot sauces at the table without even being asked. You probably won't wait long for food to arrive. If you do, you can pass the time by watching one of their two TVs (only one was working on my visit) or by taking a selfie at a dedicated Selfie Wall. I ordered three tacos; one each of Birria, Asada and Carnitas. (Consommé not included.). All were served hot, though the meats were a little dry. The tortillas were light and fresh. Cucumber, lemon and carrot garnishes were a nice touch. They also offer an extensive selection of drinks. Overall, Taco Sahuaro is a good value. At $3.25 each taco, I think it's worth the price.

Friends, the food here is great!!! Super authentic and fresh. The Gorditas are just like mom's and the the carne asada is super tasty. The carne asada quesadilla is fantastic. The service is super fast and the team here super helpful and friendly!!! A++ rating in my book. The pictures speak for themselves.

Stopped by this place for lunch with a few of our friends. We were welcomed with a warm smile and great smelling food being prepared. We ordered different varieties of tacos from tripas, chorizo, carne asada, and carnitas. All were very flavorful and the tortillas were made fresh. They also had a great flavors of agua Frescas. The mint & cucumber was my go to but also liked the cantaloupe. We actually came back the next day and ordered Togo so we can enjoy it by the pool at our airbnb

Taco Tuesday at Tacos Sahuaro! Tried this spot on a Tuesday in order to get the taco Tuesday discount. These tacos are a little smaller, more like a street taco. This location is right on 32nd street, just north of Oak st. I had tried asada and pastor tacos, and I loved the asada more. The warm corn tortilla is what I think made these tacos taste even more delicious! We also tried the tostada, gordita, and a cheese quesadilla in a homemade tortilla. All of these items were pretty good, but I think the asada was my favorite here. read more

I really liked my visit to Tacos Sahuaro. It is a bit hidden and does not seem like much from the outside, but once you walk in it's a fiesta! I love the decorations and the vibe it has going on. It gives off a very homey vibe and makes you feel very welcomed. They have a huge list of types of tacos that you can order from and that was what I tried. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them, everything tasted really delicious. I really enjoyed the corn tortillas that they used for the tacos, it was grilled just right and went very nicely with what was inside the tacos. My meal I had at Tacos Sahuaro was very authentic and overall very enjoyable. I would highly recommend giving this place a visit if you have the chance. read more

This is truly a gem! This taco spot is going to be added to my rotation of places I need to eat at when I am visiting Phoenix. This place truly has a wide menu that is all authentic dishes at an affordable prices. The staff was super friendly and interactive. We had a few questions and they were patient and answered them all. We also asked about their juices and and they let us sample it. The juices were sweet and amazing. Tacos Sahuaro has great flavor in their food and other condiments and vegetables to add to the flavor. The food is freshly made to order and comes out rather quickly. I will definitely be coming back! read more

Taco prices have gone up AGAIN. Non-taco Tuesday has tacos for $2.95 ea. ($2.65 on TT??) However they're way bigger than Dinker Mich and 3 tacos satisfied me! Good red sauce too. Juicy meat! read more

Tacos Sahuaro was phenomenal! Coming from Chicago, where there are over 200 authentic Mexican restaurants, I've had a hard time finding better tacos in other cities, but Sahuaro dethroned my favorite local place. This is a very casual place located in an Mexican neighborhood. We shared carne asada, al pastor and carnitas tacos. Keep in mind that these are not gourmet tacos, but they way that they grill the meat infuses so much flavor. This is the first place where the carnitas were crispy, which could mean they were fried, but so so worth it. Highly recommend dining in so you can eat them when they're right off the grill. I was intrigued by how many agua fresca flavors they had by the registers - pineapple, watermelon, cucumber and chia seeds, and melon and the friendly woman who took my order let me try a few of them. She suggested mixing them, and who knew a pineapple and watermelon mix would be so good! The drink is sweeter than what I normally would prefer, but very refreshing to pair with tacos. They seemed to be a hit with other customers since almost every table had a drink. read more

Good tacos at very reasonable prices and friendly service here. I had pollo and al pastor tacos which were very lightly grill-fried on fresh tortillas with plenty of meat, onions and cilantro. You also get a dish of cucumbers, pickled carrots, limes and three sauces. I liked the al pastor the best, all of the sauces were great. read more

Great Mexican food!! They have a diverse selection of dishes and meats. I rotate between the tacos, gorditas, and burritos. They all pair so well with their complementary pickled veggies too (carrots and onions). I highly recommend the pastor - probably the best I've had in Phoenix and I've tried a handful of places around here. And don't forget the agua frescas!! My fiancé and I always split 3 large agua frescas between the two of us. Sometimes I even just go here for the drinks. In addition to the great tasting food, their service is quick and their staff is super friendly! I've dined in and ordered takeout, either option will produce your food as quickly as possible. When I plan to order takeout, I usually call ahead to put my order in and they always have it ready within 15-20 minutes. All prices are extremely reasonable and the portions are generous. Parking is plentiful and there's a lot of seating, good for big and small groups. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area. read more

The tacos and frioles were . So far the best tacos I've had in the valley. The birria meat is incredibly tender and almost melts in your mouth. The frijoles are well seasoned. I also enjoyed the asada. Everything was delicious and the customer service was great. read more

I have Finally found a Taco location worth spending my money at! I have many friends over the years that would always say "You need to check this place out" or "this other place is sooo authentic", after listening to many of them and trying out their recommendations, I have come to the conclusion many of my friends are LIARS! ha-ha. I always got directed to trendy horrible places... I am born and raised here in AZ and am 33 yrs. old now, I have travelled far and wide to find some bomb carne asada tacos and it seemed to be a lost cause until now. Tacos Sahuaro is my new hang out spot for sure! Its located in a strip mall and honestly its pretty sketchy, but these tacos are def worth getting shanked in the parking lot... (Joking, you more then likely will not get shanked)! Inside the place honestly, It could probably use a deep cleaning. It doesn't smell bad or anything, it could just use a fresh coat of paint, some ambiance, and a Professional tile cleaner. However, I wasn't here for the ambiance... I was here for some tacos! Tacos are 2 bucks a pop and I ordered 3 Carne asada and 1 chicken, my wife ordered a couple tacos (she was a bit sketched out by the location). We sat down and they brought us some sides like carrots and onions, and some cucumbers, lime and salsas. We got our tacos and I tried the hot hot salsa on my taco and as I took my first bit into heaven I shed 1 tear! This taco was amazing! My taste buds were orgasming (Not literally)!!! The tortilla makes up a lot of the flavor. They double up the corn tortilla and cook the outsides, and insides are doughy. The carne asada was spot on and the hot ass salsa was the topper!!!! I ordered 2 more they were so good. Its a simple shop, tacos burritos and gorditas, no chips (saves more room for tacos). Set aside the worry of the neighborhood if you want a bombastic taco! This place will not disappoint! Im already planning me next trip this weekend. **** Update**** I was crazing the tacos so I went back for another visit. This time I learned they will make you fresh corn tortillas for your tacos while I requested and OMG!!!! THEY WERE SOOO GOOD!!! I also tried a Gordita. I was pretty hesitant because I grew up with having just meat inside. I bit into the carne asada gordita and i most passed out because it was sooo damn good (im pretty dramatic, lol). Carne Asada 4/5 stars, al pastor 5/5 stars! Seriously so good. I got way too much food because I wanted to try it all but the sopes with al pastor was amazing. I also tried the mini quesadilla with carne asada and it was pretty delicious. The tortillas are super fresh and the meat is tender and flavorful. They give you the typical sides with sauces. I really liked the green sauce. I tried a couple tacos one of each. Definitely recommend this place. It's a bit of a hole in the wall and a little run down, definitely not first date worthy but the food is good. I also tried a horchata and it was average. I wouldn't get it again. read more

Very solid food and very polite Sweet staff. Seems like they go out of their way to please the clientele. They brought our food to our table which I am not used to at a Mexican place. Not like this where it isn't really a traditional sit down restaurant (with a host and a wait staff), so I was taken back. Atmosphere makes it feel like you step out of Phoenix and into a restaurant from Mexico! Why wait, go try their food already!! read more

These tacos are undeniably delicious! I went with a few friends last Sunday and we were thrilled by the good prices and even better food! Not to mention the great service! The ladies who took our orders and brought out our food were unbelievably polite and friendly! Plus they bring you limes and pickled veggies and two kinds of sauce and this hot chili oil paste that is absolutely KILLER. I got 2 asada, a pastor, and a lengua taco, and I'll be honest I was too busy enjoying myself to even remember what my friends got... the food was so GOOD! There's not a lot of good places to get tacos from without shelling out what I believe to be too much, but Taco Sahuaro has cemented itself as my go-to taco place for when I'm in the area! I write this as we just left feeling very full and happy as we have now been here again a mere 3 days later. 10/10 would recommend read more

One of the best tacos in the area!! I have been coming here for 7 years now, I on average eat here once or twice a week. I usually got for their tacos but I like to switch it up which you can't got wrong with. They unique thing I really like about this place is they serve all of their stuff with one bag with sliced cucumber and limes and another with delicious pickled carrots, onions and jalapeños. Also there red sauce and chili oil stuff are some of the best in the valley. If you are in this neck of the woods, do your self a favor and stop on in. All the employees are very nice and will lead you in the right directing if your not sure what to order! read more

I've lived in East Phoenix all my life and never bothered to step foot inside until recently. The tacos are good, flavored drinks are good, and the service is great! Everything is delicious. The women here are amazing! Always so friendly. We love coming here since we moved in the neighborhood a year ago. I'm always suggesting it to people. Usually we order fish tacos, care asada tacos and carne sopes with everything - always with everything. The cucumber/chia seed/mint drink is also a favorite of ours. read more

Hands down best tacos ever! I love me some tacos and they are absolutely delicious. I'm a sucker for agua frescas, the lady allowed me to sample the horchata and the piña they were both so good I had to get both. I love me some really good sopes and they are really good I highly recommend Tacos Sahuaro for your looking for some tacos. read more

Bienvenidos a Tacos Sahuaro - enjoy authentic Mexican street tacos without leaving Phoenix! The restaurant is nothing fancy, but it has plenty of seating inside and most importantly serves up delicious tacos for only $2 each. The tacos are made with with two freshly cooked tortillas, your choice of meat, chopped onions and cilantro. The tacos are also served with a selection of fresh veggies to cleanse the palate - sliced cucumber, picked carrots, onions, and jalapeños if you want to kick it up a notch. The green chile and red salsa were good, but not the best I've ever had. At the suggestion of other Yelpers, I tried the Al Pastor, Carne Asada, and the Carnitas Tacos. The three tacos were quite filling because they come double wrapped in two tortillas. The Carne Asada Taco didn't have a lot of flavor on its own - probably would've been good with some fresh guacamole - but the Al Pastor Taco was delicious! Also, if you order a Coca Cola be prepared for "un medio litro - that's half a liter! They didn't have Horchata when we visited, but they have a wide selection of Jarritos drinks (mango, tamarindo, lime). read more

Last dinner in town before heading back to Seattle and we were looking for a place that was quick and nearby. This is the place! They have tortas, tacos, burritos, quesadillas and so on. I had their chorizo taco and carne asada quesadilla and they were seasoned well and done perfectly. Especially, the carne asada, it was moist, flavorful, all-around good with a little kick. My wife had their burrito and taco in head and lengua meat and she liked hers. I also had a Mexican bottle Coke which is always refreshing and good. My wife's sangria out of the bottle drink was not good; we thought they made their own sangria. If only Seattle had good Mexican food. (sighs) read more

Great tasting tacos! I had the pescado tacos which were exceptionally delicious because of how they diced the fish into smaller pieces and didn't make it bready. The three sauces and the fresh, simple pickled condiments added to the charm of this local restaurant. read more

living in Mexico City turned me into an extremely annoying tacos al pastor snob. I've searched all over Phoenix for great tacos al pastor, but wasn't particularly happy with anything that I found. had the tacos al pastor at Sahuaro last night and I was blown away They were outstanding, and very very filling. I'm a rather husky guy and I was completely stuffed after eating three tacos al pastor. I love that their open until 10pm. I'll absolutely be returning soon. read more

Very nice staff, perfectly crispy tortillas, great non-standard meat I love that they have things like head, tongue, and intestine on the menu. If you've never tried them, try it, it's great. The tortilla is actually crispy while still bendable, I dunno how they do it but it's my favorite taco to date. read more

Where do I start? The tacos were flat out bad! Small meat portion, dried out meat, flavorless and expensive for what it is. I ordered tripa, asada and lengua. I paid $8.50 for pretty much what tasted like dried out left overs from a week ago. I mush rather pay $4 per taco at Joy Ride any day over this garbage. read more

Greasy Fatty LARD Tacos Anyone? I'm guessing the massive LARD they use gives it the taste but not worth getting sick 2 out of 3!! Times and gaining 20 lbs extra per month NOT to mention the homeless waiting outside for half your doggy bag and BAD limited parking. 360 view ALL bad! :( read more

Delicious food! My BF enjoys the Carne Asada burrito and my lingua tacos are so tender and spiced. We visit every few weeks for a quick dinner after a long work week. Have not been disappointed. Parking is a challenge and can seem like getting in and off the NASCAR track. read more

The reason I'm giving this place a 1 star it's because they keep saying they own the food truck " Tacos Sahuayo " on 29th and McDowell also. Food is night and day difference. And they are separate owners Independent from each other. Quit tricking customers! read more

Great little taco joint serving authentic Mexican food at very reasonable prices. I don't live very close but will be back when on that side of town. Very CLEAN compared to what you may expect form the outside. read more

It is a familiar place with some of the tasty tacos you can find in the east of phoenix, they need to be faster by cooking but the experience with the food is great. Just add some pineapple to the pastor tacos. read more

Been all over the valley looking for good tacos. These are the best tacos in Phoenix or Tucson. Even my cousin's taco restaurant does not have the flavor consistency of these tacos. Parking can be tight. read more
