    Carne asada burrito bowl
    Jennifer S.

I recently stopped by the Tacos Sonora food truck during a day trip to Mariposa. I was hoping to find better Mexican food than I've been able to find in Yosemite Valley. Out of the two taco trucks in the Pioneer Market parking lot, I chose this one because it had guacamole on the menu, and the other truck didn't. A brightly colored sign said: Try our burrito bowl! $10. So, I did. I ordered the burrito bowl with carne asada. The burrito bowl was supposed to come with meat, beans, rice, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, and salsa. The carne asada was okay, but not great. The guacamole kind of tasted like it had sour cream or mayonnaise in it. There didn't seem to be any salsa in the burrito bowl at all, even though the sign advertised that it came with salsa. I thought the portion size was fair enough for $10, but the flavor wasn't really there. It tasted like something I could have ordered from an American restaurant. Overall, this was nowhere near the best Mexican food I've ever had, but it was at least better than that one place in the valley.

My favorite is the chilireleno burrito supreme. I also order taco salads. I like their carne Asada tacos with cilantro and lime

Standard amount of disappointment with their food. Time and time again I give this shit hole a chance. Every time I am utterly dissatisfied and mad I even spend hard earned dollars at their establishment. I mean come on. Torta with no queso fresco or any sauce at all. Tacos of all meat dry as the Sahara. Do not support tacos Sonora or Ron dubens.

We stopped in Mariposa after driving down 49 and needed stretch our legs and walk the dogs. Luckily we came across this taco truck behind the museum. The staff were super friendly and they kindly gave a homeless man some food and drink for free. We ordered a pastor burrito and an asada burrito supreme. Both came out quickly and for a small burrito, the pastor burrito was quite a good size. Just meat, cheese, onion, and cilantro. The pastor was seasoned super nice and almost a bit sweet, but perfectly balanced with the onion and cilantro. The asada burrito supreme definitely lived up to its name. The hot salsa left a nice lingering spice that was occasionally cooled by a bite with sour cream. The asada was delicious as well, but not quite as good as the pastor. I'm glad we stopped here and walked around to find this place.

This is a taco truck set up on a Mariposa street. I tried coming here twice while visiting Yosemite. The fist time was a Sunday. They are not open on Sunday. I had al pastor on my tacos. A friend had chicken. Both were very good. Mine had a roasted serrano chili with them. I asked for extra salsa. When the gal frowned at me, I explained I saw the sign saying I needed to pay 50 cents extra. Honestly, it should be free. Every taqueria in the LA area will give you free salsa, but it is what it is. At least they have a sign. While the food here is great, it is not a comfortable place to sit and eat. We got ours to go. They have a card table and two chairs set up if you want. However, they have a generator running to power the truck. It is noisy and smelly. If you want comfort and a sit down environment, go to the nearby Don Rubens.

Food was delicious and prices were very reasonable! I really like how the truck has glass windows so you can see your food being prepared. It's stationed right under some shade so you can catch some shade while enjoying your food in the California heat. Everything was ready super quickly.

    Beautiful food truck

I had the tacos, wife had a burrito. Both were excellent! Love the roasted peppers that came with it. I would highly recommend.

Best authentic tacos in town! More food for your buck! As far as we are concerned there is only one place to get good tacos in this town!

Such a great find in Oakhurst. No wonder the ratings are so good…read more Family's owned and mommas soups are the bomb. We had green pozole and WOW. Both of us then had tacos, and I had a Gordita. All so darn good. Wish we had this good of Mexican food at home.

Check your bill before you pay!…read more Walked in for an early dinner. It was busy but we were able to get seated asap at the bar. We waited a while and then was asked "have you ordered?". We said no and placed our order The agua fresas are not authentic and are tasted like powder mix. Chicken flautas are very dry and came with some old avocado on the side. Chicken mole was delicious- the chicken was very tender. My fish tacos were excellent and packed with flavor. The server asked if I wanted to upgrade to flour tortillas but didn't tell me how much it was. After we ate, the guy helping us said "ready for the check?". I was disappointed that he didn't ask us if we wanted dessert. We paid and left. Shortly after, I thought "why was my total before tax and tip $86 instead of $71??". Idk how much the up charge for flour tortillas was, but it definitely couldn't have been $15, and if it is, shame on them (after all they charge you for chips and salsa, and double the charge if it's to-go). No clue if they added someone's drink to my total but very annoying. This is the first time I've ever been over charged. Everything here in general is overpriced unfortunately.
