I was so impressed I had to call my cousin to tell her about. This placed was packed and there was a wait. It was a pleasant outdoor seating area available which made the wait enjoyable. I got the steak taco and it was just ok for me. The kids shared the nachos which they loved. I would suggest at least trying this place. Our waiter was decent too.

We went on a Friday night and it was quite busy. We lucked out finding a good parking spot; but had a 20 minute wait. We had anticipated this and went to the bar; only to find it was equally busy! We had to put in some effort to get a spot at the bar and order drinks. The prices seemed very reasonable: a Corona Light was just $3.75, a TacoLu Margarita was only $9, and an Aperol Skinny was $10. After about 15 minutes our table was ready and we were seated on the patio. It was cute and festive as well. Our server, Avery, came over immediately and brought us some fresh chips and salsa.....yum! We all decided on tacos à la carte which were all around $4 or $5. There were a few more pricier options and there were so many different choices made with chicken, beef, pork, seafoods and there were even vegan options. My daughter and I both had one carne asada and one Deb's Verde, (chicken with a light verde sauce.). Both were small flour tacos but both varieties were piled high with meat. I liked both of them very much. My husband had one carnitas taco, one Baja Fish taco, and one Taco Rosa. He said the carnitas one was good, the Taco Rosa, which was ahi tuna, was unique, and the Baja Fish, which was fried fish, was awesome. Overall our service was really good and everyone really enjoyed their meals. The prices were very favorable so we'll probably visit again the next time we're in Jacksonville Beach.

It is nicely designed on the interior. However, the low ceiling makes for a noisy experience when it's busy here.

By the time we ordered the small plates and shortly after its arrival I was convinced we'd come back. Delicious! Flavorful, decadent and very fulfilling! From the Queso completo, Mexican street corn and the carnitas tamale rojo that was perfectly paired with a pickled flavored jalapeño made the dish alive and tapping with flavor dancing on the taste buds. I asked the server to surprise me between three dishes I couldn't decide from. Dom, you're amazing; kind, courteous and you really know how to make an everlasting impression so effortlessly. The star of the show was the whole grilled yellowtail chef's special with a tamarind ponzu sauce that he chose for me! What a way to wow your guest and make them feel safe with trusting the palette of the family that's working together. I have to say this dish was AMAZING, Craig (The Chef) came to greet us in the midst of our dinner, that was a first! Hands down best yellowtail. My bf doesn't even like fish and he couldn't stop from eating it and wished he'd ordered the special. It was a nice, cozy and modern space and I love the ambiance! Can't wait to come back! Thanks again Dom & Craig!!

I had my first meal there when I visited Jacksonville Beach recently. Got the grilled bone-in yellow snapper, which was a daily special. Fresh, meaty, smoky. It was served with mixed greens and apple salad, some grilled green onions and freshly made corn tortillas. All paired well with the fish. The tortillas were about 0.75oz per piece. Moreover, the dish was served on a HUGE cutting board! I also ordered a side of Spanish rice, but surprisingly the manager took it off from my bill, saying that "[he was] glad that I enjoyed the meal so much"! The first meal was indeed impressive; it had been a while since I had had such Mexican food last time. So I decided to give it another try the next evening. Ordered the Carne Asada (asked for rare) and sub the beans with extra tortillas (to avoid high GI food). But the steak was disappointing: the first time it was served ~medium-well. The second time it was ~medium-rare so I did not complain twice. However, it was quite chewy. One reason was that, as you can see from my picture, the meat was not rest long enough before it was sliced and served. Service was good, friendly and quick. The restuarant was a bit noisy but I enjoyed the energy. Moreover, there were lots of beautiful decors and murals. I really like the tiger painted on the wall of their main dining area. So in short, I would recommend this restaurant if you like Mexican food. I would recommend the seafood and slowly-cooked stuff, like their short rib and pork shank. And I will dine in again the next time I visit Jacksonville Beach.

Taco Libre was just 1.5 miles from the hospital so we gave it a shot, and happy we did. Tasty free salsa and warm chips placed on the table. Delicious tacos filled up - they don't skimp on the ingredients. Large cups of Diet Coke - hey, gotta watch my figure! Tacos came in an order of three and I was able to have three different types. Perfect meal for what we were craving. Service was friendly and on-point. Food came out quickly. Terrific Lucha Libre wrestling theme with murals, paintings, and masks adorning the walls. Very colorful and fun decor. Clean bathroom. A few TV's showing soccer games. Outside seating area in front. Taco Tuesday specials. Plenty of food options and drinks on the menu.

I ordered the Wet California burrito with steak, and it was mostly rice and beans with very little steak. The "wet" was just queso poured over the top and onto the plate. Some bites tasted decent, others were inconsistent. The steak that was there was okay. The margarita was also a letdown -- more sour than expected and likely house tequila, with very little ice. Chips were unsalted (which I didn't mind), and the salsa had a bit of a pinch to it. Unfortunately, I woke up the next morning with a bad stomach ache and didn't feel great while eating the food. I probably should have said something to management at the time. Our waitress was friendly, but couldn't really elaborate when we asked about the menu. Overall, I'm paying for great food and service -- not just "okay." I don't see myself returning.
