Long lines but a short wait.

You can't go wrong with street tacos, especially on a hot afternoon. My friends each had two tacos al pastor ($2 each), and I had one al carbon ($2) and one lengua ($2.25). Loved the lengua, but the al carbon was pretty pedestrian, although it had a healthy topping of guac. I much preferred the al pastor, so that's the route I'll take next time. Be sure to load up on the radishes (wish they had carrots as well), and ask the cook to add grilled onions and a jalapeño!

I got chicken and carnitas, and my hubby got carne asada and birria, then we swapped so we both could try all four. OMG each taco was better than the previous one. And the beans and rice were yummy too. The chips and salsa tasted very fresh, and our server was delightful. I really hope they do a lot of advertising or they may not last very long, which would be a shame because they're so good. Give them a try if you're a local. Too good to not support them. And they have great Taco Tuesday deals with $1 tacos and discount beer and margaritas too! What else do you need? Muy bueno!

During the day you might need to place your order by a stand by the entrance to the kitchen. After a few trips here since my last review I have to admit that this place is HIT or MISS. Honest it is like two different restaurants are in this one spot. All of my lunch visits were horrible. We've experienced the worst service ever and subpar foods. On my last visit we were the only customers in the dining room and we were too much trouble for our server to handle. It took her 25-30 minutes to serve us beverages and chips and salsa. When our meals finally arrived the meats were all dried out and tough in all of the tacos. My salad came out without dressing too. At the same time they had a few to go orders going on and all the people returned their food and asked for their money back. This is so tragic. We previously enjoyed the food and service here our last few dinners. The young male server gives outstanding service and so far the food has also always been good-great at dinner time. Lunch time visits were another story. On both lunch time visits we had female servers that have a language barrier and are not service people. They brought us subpar food too unlike what we tried here at dinner time. I am being generous leaving Asada three stars. I hope it's not too late for improvement. Hit or Miss

Fortunately for my…read morewaistline, Martin and Evelyn's taco truck isn't near my house, because if it were, I'd be a Grande Gordo in no time. I debated between the torta and the tacos, but since this was our first date, I played it safe and ordered the carne asada tacos. At $3.25 each, they're street taco-sized in theory, but the mountain of perfectly seasoned carne asada spilling out of them told a different story. I actually had to ask for a fork just to finish what escaped onto the tray. The tacos came loaded with fresh cilantro and red onions and tasted far more gourmet than their humble appearance suggested. The red and green salsas were both excellent, but the real star was their pico de gallo-style salsa. It had a slightly fermented tang that instantly reminded me of kimchi, and I found myself putting it on everything. This was my first visit, but definitely not my last. Next time, I'm skipping the internal debate and going straight for the torta.

Yelp Review 2025 #206:…read more Los Gorditos is a food truck that serves some amazing birria tacos. But that's not the only thing they have. They have grilled chicken (pieces or whole), tortas, sopes, burritos, tacos, churros, nachos, huaraches, tostadas, birria ramen, quesabirria, pizza birria, menudo, mulitas, asada fries and ribs. Meat choices include lengua, asada, pastor, buche, birria, pollo, cabeza, and chorizo. You can find them on Craig and Simmons. In the same parking lot as Chevron and Lucky 7's bar. They're grilling meat on site so you can them hot and fresh and it smells delish! I got their 3 birria taco combo that comes with garnish and consommé. Tender meat that's flavorful on its own. Dip it in the consommé and it's just absolutely amazing! Service was friendly and fast. They are proud of the food they serve and it shows. Pricing is very reasonable.

La Flor de Jalisco…read more My family and I stopped by La Flor de Jalisco after washing and cleaning our car across the street, and I'm glad we decided to check this place out! First off, the ambiance is beautiful! The decor and overall atmosphere really make you feel like you've stepped into a little part of Mexico. It has that colorful, authentic feel that makes the experience more enjoyable, especially when you're just looking for something fun and different. They have a great selection of ice creams and paletas, with plenty of different flavors to choose from. They also offer a large variety of Aguas Frescas, along with other Mexican treats and items on the menu. There's definitely something for everyone, and it can be a little overwhelming trying to decide what you want because there are so many options! As far as pricing goes, I personally felt that it was a little overpriced for what you're getting. Because of that, I see this as more of a place I'd visit when I'm really craving something specific rather than somewhere I'd stop by regularly. That being said, the service was great, everyone was friendly, and we had a good overall experience. We enjoyed our visit and would definitely come back again sometime when the craving hits! Overall: A fun spot for Mexican ice cream, aguas frescas, and treats with a beautiful atmosphere!
