I've been wanting to try this restaurant for the longest time, so when my friend asked me to pick…read morethe location for our Sunday lunch date, I jumped at the chance to throw La Cantinita into the chat. My friend had eaten there before, so she suggested sitting at the bar due to experiencing really slow service during her last visit. When we arrived, the restaurant wasn't too busy, with a handful of additional people at the bar and a few tables filled with guests. There are a ton of options on the cocktail menu, so after a long deliberation, I decided on the margarita flight. I must say, the presentation is 10/10. Some flavors I enjoyed more than others, and it's not something I would order every visit, but realistically, for the price, it's a good value. Service was indeed slow, even at the bar. I did have to repeat my order several times, so I do believe the staff may be a little new to food service in general. There were a lot of staff working in the main dining room for it to have been so slow. As for the food, I was significantly overwhelmed by all the options on the menu. I decided to go with the elotes off the cob and the empanada flight (steak, chicken and buffalo chicken). The empanada flight was so delicious! I could only finish two of the three, but I thoroughly enjoyed the third one today at work. They weren't only crispy, but the filling was flavorful, and the portion size was great. The elotes were yummy as well. I had enough to take home and finish with my last empanada. Definitely two items I would re-order on another visit. Overall, the service was friendly. We were asked to take a picture, and my friend and I agreed, laughing about possibly ending up on their IG page. Shortly after, the photographer brought us three framed versions of the photo for purchase, lol. Definitely a more Lauderdale/Miami/Atlanta-type lounge move, but funny nonetheless. We politely declined.

Customer service from the manager was extremely disappointing. By the way I didn't get to order…read moreanything. So I'm not rating the food in this review.

The service was ok not as fast as I had expected for takeout. Their menu prices were being revised so it was not available to share. I had a steak taco and a shredded beef taco they were out of chicken and this was at 4pm on a Saturday afternoon. I also tried the beef quesadilla. The tacos were ok not I have had much better in the area. The quesadilla was good, fresh, and tasty. This place is good to try at least one if tacos are your thing!

Having seen signs that tacos were served at the gas station, I would always drive by, dismissing the idea of gas station tacos. As a Southern California native, I have yearned for authentic and delicious Mexican food since moving to West Palm Beach. One day, while out shopping, my daughter and I said, why not? If it's good, we'll bring some home for the rest of the family. We did just that. We were absolutely sold. Having now gone back many times, it is always delicious, consistent, clean, and the service is top-notch. I sincerely wish this small but phenomenal business all the foot traffic they can handle. Always reasonably priced and delicious, make sure to bring your appetite and a bit of patience, as your order is prepared fresh. Family favorites are their outstanding chicken tacos, beef tostadas, burritos, and any variety of tortas. They do offer catering as well. I have not used their catering service but it is featured on their Facebook page (serves as the restaurant's website). I have shamelessly lifted photos from their Facebook page.

They are family friendly, however, and there were a few tables with kids celebrating a birthday and other events. The brewery hosts various games like bingo and trivia and slingo on different nights. And they offer beer specials different times, too, as well as special events. My husband tried one of their on tap beers -- they have a lot plus canned beers. It was a pale ale. He thought it might be one of the least "hoppy" varieties. It was good. We both got their hot dog baskets. He got the German dogs with sauerkraut and onions. For my two hot dogs, I chose one with chili and one with beer cheese. We both had their potato salad as our side choice. The boiled hotdogs were ok. I wish they'd been cooked longer and were hotter in temperature. They were quite filling though. Service was good. The bartender was personable and friendly. I'm glad we came to check them out. Now we know.

I had the German Hot Dogs with potato salad. The hot dogs came with kraut, onions, relish and mustard on the side. The dogs were short and nestled in soft steamed buns. Good and filling.
