The empanadas appeared rushed and were noticeably smaller than what we're used to. I called to express my concern and was offered a replacement order. When I picked it up, the empanadas were exactly the same as before. When I pointed this out, I was told they're "trying new ways to make them." The problem is that they're much smaller now and not worth the price being charged. I ended up leaving disappointed. Please fix your empanadas--they were incredible before, but today they definitely missed the mark.

The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the live mariachi singer was absolutely fantastic, he really made the evening special. The service was outstanding from start to finish. The chips and salsa were fresh and delicious, and both of our meals were packed with flavor. I ordered the chicken fajitas, and my husband had the pollo asado. Both were excellent! We had such a wonderful experience. La Cantinita has definitely earned a spot in our regular restaurant rotation. If you're looking for great Mexican food, outstanding service, and a fun atmosphere, I highly recommend checking them out...especially on a Friday night when the mariachi singer is there.
